When it feels like our prayers are going unheard and our efforts aren't making a difference. It's in these times when our faith can take the biggest hit. We begin questioning God's purpose for our lives and doubt gains a foothold in our hearts. When will this season end? And what happens if we don't see our desired outcome? Every time in my life that God has told me something that was going to happen and I didn't see any signs of it actually happening, even through worry and panic, I have always just kept believing and told God to just do whatever it is He needs to do and help me stay strong and if what was happening in my life was what was supposed to happen, then to please continue. There have been 4 MAJOR life changing promises God has given me. I'm currently waiting on the 3rd right now and have been for over 5 and a half years. It doesn't SEEM like it's going to happen, but then again neither did the first two and those happened right on schedule EXACTLY like God said they would so I have been here before. Thankfully this season has been amazing and my only struggle has been continuing to wait patiently for it, but every time I panic or worry, God allows me to do so because He ALWAYS brings me out stronger on the other side of it. Even though I don't like worrying or panicking because it makes me feel like a piece of crap for ever even having any what ifs when I have already been through this twice before, I know what God uses those moments for my benefit so I welcome those moments.

@Judy Anne why did Elevation Church grow to over 20,000 members in 8 years? Maybe because Pastor Steven obeyed The Lord and THAT many people are receiving Jesus week in and week out. He's being real. That's what people want anymore. There's nothing you can do about it, besides jumping on the Jesus train. Let him transform you!! He loves you!!
@Ben Boejan I will answer that for Judy. With love and respect for those who would call themselves my brothers and sisters in the Lord. 2 Tim 4; 3-4. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths. God word will not return void. But once a false teacher has been exposed. you need to pray for wisdom from God.
I searched this message after listening to Holly (whom is not my favorite) and she said this was her favorite sermon Pastor Steven ever preached. Holly is amazing.
I would really be careful before you start to judge, if you believe he's in error pray for him, don't slander his name, I believe God is big enough to take care of His own business without us judging, slandering, accusing. Unless you know for a fact and not something you read off social media then take it to the Lord in prayer. I'm sorry but all churches run on money, even the small. The bigger they are the more money they need to survive. What is our motive?? Do we judge athletes, famous actors or musicians, higher authorities this much?? Even if Pastor Furtick is in the wrong that's on him, God can deal with him on His own terms as He sees fit, we are called to love, even if one soul gets saved, one life is changed, its worth it. His ministry has helped me and others I know too. We're all not going to agree on everything but the most important thing to remember, ministry is all about preaching and sharing the meaning of the life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are made over comers by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. What I'm reading is hateful and not showing Christ likeness at all! Take a look in the mirror, he that's without sin let him cast the first stone!!

I needed to hear this during this season!
When I first read "Sun Stand Still" by Steven, I thought it was great. Then I realized that he is a "prosperity gospel" preacher like T.D. Jakes, Joel Osteen and Joyce Meyers. Verses like "Deny yourself, take up your cross and follow me" are never mentioned. Christians will suffer. This is a biblical fact. Is half of the truth an actual lie????? Still...... Furtick does tell the truth and lifts me up and changes my perspective when I'm feeling a little beat up. God bless Steven Furtick. I think he means to serve the Lord, however people.... never let sermons be a substitute for reading God's holy word. Pray for one another.

Most of the people who say he is a false teacher don't even go to elevation one thing that makes me mad is that he has several books . he does not steal money from the church all of his books have or almost made New York bestsellers he gives his books away for free in the church if you want one and don't have money . You cant judge a man for teaching differently . yea it is thought that the pastor should not be rich but that does not mean he is a deceiver . Don't be brainwashed by idiots who don't even go to elevation pleassee .

What if I told you that this biblical account of Joshua was a foreshadowing of the end of the age when Christ returns bringing the walls of the worlds kingdoms crashing down. (7th trumpet in Revelation) Would that make your personal 7th trump a means to an end. You are enduring behind the walls, waiting in faith for Joshua (jehovah saves) because you believe and trust in his promise, and not as a means for worldly gain or personal breakout. Renew your mind and keep the faith. #7 comes to you, not you to it.This is the patience and endurance of the saints.

Serious question here..Why do folks need to attend a rally with a preacher in this manner? In Christianity, I thought you can pray to jesus whenever you want. No requirements to go through a priest etc. Let me know..thanks
What happens is we come together in fellowship and in unity to build and serve God church. The purpose of the preacher is to lead God people using his word and teachings. then we take that back home and apply it. open our bibles at home and also pray, just like you said because we can do so freely.
Stephen Furtick seems to leave out the part in Joshua Chapter 6 Verse 21 "And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword."
Joshua and his People went to this city and murdered everyone and everything but Rahab and her family. Joshua also took all of the gold and silver from Jericho and put it in "the treasury of the LORD"
It is disturbing to me that he is using this as an example to preach to the public.

Who are you to judge a servant of GOD... if he is wrong or right people have still come to Jesus and the type of administration he uses will later be judged by GOD and only GOD for now you should thank GOD that souls are coming to his kingdom.
