  • Laura is still a category 2 hurricane as it moves deeper over Louisiana, six hours after making landfall as a category 4.
The National Hurricane Center says Laura has weakened to a Category 2 hurricane as it moves deeper inland over Louisiana.
That’s no longer a major hurricane but it still has extremely dangerous maximum sustained winds of 110mph, nearly five hours after striking the coast and pushing what forecasters called an unsurvivable storm surge miles inland.

1992 hurricane andrew bring back memories. We got hit hard in south miami. Roof gone no light for a month and water for a week. The infrastructure had to be rebuilt.

Did Miami keep Interstate 95 open during Andrew do all those critical supplies could still get to Key West? I mean God forbid if Interstate 10 never be shut down.

Level 2 hurricane 200 miles inside the country is not a small thing, just because Level 2 is less than 4! Hate the media for not really caring!

Those drones can fly into some heavy winds, you would be surprised. A drone though is only as good as it's pilot though.

Wow since 1856 was the last one just prior to the civil war in these Confederate states. So the union forces was not the only ones kicking ass and taking names later.
