Since 2019, when I joined Interaction Design foundation and I have been following a lot of professional from our industry. The context of contents provided by so many people was kind of, I don't know hard to sink in the design process but on the other hand you. the things you put up for us is really useful and I definitely gonna implement that changes in my process.

Hey Femke, I was wondering and thought of asking, would you able to do a video on User Journey Map.
I have already attended few sessions of Dynamic Experience CEO Frank Spillers, and others but I every time ended with a confusions like what kind of journey shows up the pain points. Is that a contextual real-life daily over all journey of the user or the usability part journey with the similar products while doing the research and insight.
What I lack is what type of journey needed to consider to get insights and pain points of the user.
Please, will you consider making a video on this.

Would you mind sharing how to make rationale around decisions that are somewhat subjective? Like, applying gradients, adding illustrations, or microinteractions, are usually only act as the cherry on top. We can achieve our goal with or without it, but we wanted to deliver delightful designs, but I don't know how to make objective rationale to back that decision.
Will really appreciate if you share some tips about this. Thanks again!

Try to understand the context behind the challenge - i.e. why is someone asking you to explain the design decision? Quite often (myself included) make the assumption of what the person is asking for and just finding out a bit more info will lead to a more focused response, with reasons that will resonate clearer.
Hellooo, I have a presentation tomorrow and a question my teacher will have for me is “restate the design rational you wrote” and I have no idea what that means🧐

This also stuck out to me. If you don't know why the phrase "Final Solution" is jarring, a quick google will help! I understand your intention is to convey confidence, so other phrases that could work well would be the final product, end result, final design, end resolution, etc... I enjoy your content, this particular phrase is just something to be aware of.
This is not about the overall message/presentation -- all very good. I want to point out, however, that the term "The Final Solution" was coined by Adolf Hitler in how to solve the "Jewish problem." It is offensive to hear and I urge you to find another expression to use. Examples would be outcome (or final outcome) or ultimate result or solution. But please don't use the aforementioned term. Thank you for understanding, as well I think this will help you or any viewers and commenters here to avoid a nasty "result."
Thanks for bringing this up. I admit I was not aware of how this term has been used in the past. I'm sorry and will not be using it again in my vocabulary.
Really helpful! Small bit of constructive criticism: I had a cringe every time you said "final solution". I know you weren't referring to the holocaust, and I'm not jewish, but that phrase is super loaded and kinda distracting. It may not be an issue or even noticed depending on one's cultural background.
Thanks! This has been pointed out in other comments. I've since learnt from this video and have removed it from my vocabulary, but decided to keep this video up for now as it is helping a lot of designers. Am conscious of it though and thanks for mentioning.
