If your battery decides, to suddenly go dead and no one around to give you a boost.
But you have one of these Lithium 20Volt 5AH DeWalt battery around.
Plus 2, 6 inch pieces of 14-gauge solid copper wire.
You'll be able to get your vehicle started and go get a battery exchanged at a more convenient location. Just make sure the DeWalt battery is fully charged...
Then insert one of bare end of the wires into the B+ slot and the other to B- slot on the DeWalt battery.
Sorry for the focus with this GoPro and Pay no attention to my color wires here...
the important thing is the negative and positives are corresponding at the car battery when hooking them up... place the DeWalt battery between the 2 battery terminals of the vehicle...
and insert the other bare ends of the wires into the positive and negative terminals of the vehicle battery...
again, Pay no attention to my color wires here...
the important thing, is the negative and positives are corresponding...
B+ To Positive and B- To Negative
    Start the vehicle...
Once its started, unhook the DeWalt… it’s better not to leave it hooked up for too long...
This battery was fully charged and now lost a 3rd just to crank this car...
But it worked… and dint hurt the DeWalt at all…

Great how-to John! Good to know a Dewalt 20V battery can get a vehicle with a weak battery started. Have a great weekend! 👍

  • @davestredulinsky

That's a great idea, I had never thought of that. I will have to check my power tools to see the voltage and current of their batteries. Thank you, my friend.

  • @savinogiovanni

I neve thought of using a battery drill like the Dewalt to turn it into a jump starter. It seems a good idea. Have a good week end.

Thanks for sharing another helpful guide! It looks like this would work for any car with a standard 12-volt battery, is that correct? Have a great Sunday yourself!
