Border View Farms is a mid-sized family farm that sits on the Ohio-Michigan border. My name is Nathan. I make and edit all of the videos posted here. I farm with my dad, Mark and uncle, Phil. Our part-time employee, Brock, also helps with the filming. 1980 was our first year in Waldron where our main farm is now. Since then we have grown the operation from just a couple hundred acres to over 3,000. Watch my 500th video for a history of our farm I filmed with my dad.
I started making these videos in the fall of 2019 as a way to help show what I do on a daily basis as a farmer. Agriculture is different from any other industry and I believe the more people that are showing their small piece of agriculture, helps to build our story. We face unique challenges and stressful situations but have some of the most rewarding payoffs in the end. I get to spend everyday doing what I love, raising my kids on the farm, and trying to push our farm to be better every year. I hope that I can address questions or concerns that you might have about farms and agriculture.
I hope you enjoy my content and ask questions as you have them. I do my best to answer anything I can. Thanks for watching!

Always great videos!!!
Good morning, have a great day.
That felt really good! Thanks for not sharing the initial anxiety. craziness. I'm sure the boys were helpful.😉
Happy wheat harvest Borderview farms.
That seams a lot better then I thought it might have been given how dry it was
Great to see you back in the combine!
That to me is a really good start to your wheat harvest, well done. Dan
If you can get a nice wheat yield and then plant beans and get two crops off those fields that’s awesome. Pays some bills forsure
Can’t wait until tomorrow
Happy Harvest!
Nice to see a good start
Great video good to see y'all
After seeing Instagram last night I was planning on watching a wheat harvest video today!!! Thank you thank you!!!
Good to see you getting started on the wheat. Initial yield reports are good too!
Areas in the Ks 23’, western region the wheat made 15 bushel alot were happy to get 30 bushel. Have to have water or it is over and its dryer than popcorn
Howdy Nathan, I hope ya'll are having a Fantastic day,
Hey, I ran into your Family here in Alberta, Canada 🇨🇦.....no not really 🤣 but I do have a request for you, Please don't paint your crop again, you pretty much killed your soybean plant, so you can't use it a growth sample, thankfully you planted a hearty version of corn, and it took it alot better, however, it was just painful to watch you painting your crop 😂
Stay safe, God Bless and Farm on my Friends, Peace
Good Morning
Good morning
I think the children will drive the machines in a couple of years
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I think your painted corn plant is going to survive.
That cutterbar sounds noisy to me. That bolt under the lose clamp you fixed can be moved up and down to get it center in the guards, maybe you know that. I like to touch the sickle bar after running and feel for heat. Or use your heat camera
I still think that's a sweet combine just like the 8RX 370. Nothing runs like a Deere. If it ain't green... It ain't mean!!!
You should have higher protein on your wheat this year with the dry weather.
Ahh, no amber flasher calibration means SAFETY THIRD; you're gonna die! LOL
Why not return some of the straw back to the field ?
On the field or fields you found tar spot, what was the previous crop?
Soybeans
JD tech here, you need to update all the software on the machine and reprogram with Auto maintain to gain full function of your cameras👍🏻
Thank you.
Had this issue on the first machine I converted, no where in the instructions does it mention the software.
How many acres of wheat you have
Was it just your camera or why did the neighbors wheat look completely different than yours?
Their's is bearded or awnned. Just varietal differences.
I have some questions about you farms, could you please help me to address that?
Please provide a medium to contact you
Do they pay you guys for the removal of the straw?
Yes
