Mr. Z1000SX was yet another fantastic bloke I had the honour of meeting in my 2015 riding season. I'm still amazed by his flawless riding style. After this video you will know what textbook hang-off riding should look like. Such a joy to watch! Even more so because I was allowed to follow him with my camera! :)
If you want to film something like this yourselves make sure that you have 100% control over your machine. The same is true for the rider to be filmed. Whenever I meet someone new on two wheels I take some time to observe their riding style and technique. If it seems to be at least equally good as mine I start thinking about creating some action footage. I would NEVER film a sequence like that without having 100% trust in the riding skills of the person in front.
Oh and by the way since I uploaded a short snippet of this video on to my Facebook page months ago and already got a couple of smartass comments back then... if anyone thinks he needs to badmouth Mr. Z1000SX's riding abilities: go ahead. You're just proving that you've got no clue about riding motorcycles yourself. :)

I think this is the first time I've witnessed somebody off of the bike so disciplined and well formed consistently as well as casually throw out an arm to say hi while doing it. I'm am awe as a relative n00b.

At first I thought his leaning was just over exaggerated for the camera, but he was so smooth with it that it is clear that he can ride like that and does often. You just don't see too many riders riding like that on the road. Awesome footage mate.
+MrAusAdventure usually you only see "Hangoff Apes" on the road. Guys who slide a bit to the left or right and stick out their knee. While keeping their upper body above the bike lol. Luckily it looks quite ridiculous but they don't even notice.
@@Schaaf I am one of them with my Ducati monster 1100 Evo motorcycle :(. No one has taught us to underestimate yet, I have 10 thousand km of experience on two wheels.
It seems both riders knew what they were doing, smooth, controlled and playfull enough to have great fun!
@@Schaaf you guys judge a lot, this type of riding reducces lean angle and raises the overall stability of the bike while cornering, riding até this speed in public roads seems perfectly fine to me
@@rosachatinho729 Yea, that's why schaaf is keeping up with him, riding conventionally on a 30 year old 500cc, with basically a third of the horsepower...
Most people just assume because it's a bigger bike that it corners faster and leans better... when in reality it's 90% rider and 10% bike. great video schaaf, love watching the Z ;) haha

Big bikes such as z1000 gives enough tractions and are very very stable and also provide more precise cornerings ✌🏻
Okay, i've watched it like 4 times now, still very awesome and time for a comment. Such a joy to watch, huge respect for his smoothness and riding lines, pretty much perfect imho, transitions left to right; how far he hangs of; lines through the corners all of it. And he is riding my dream bike, nice to see it (with the proper rider) can do all those things :) And offcourse respect to Schaaf for keeping up, big thumbs up
Also nice, sometimes you can pick up a tiny bit of the z1000sx's engine sound, very nice... *watching it again*
Awesome ride. Looks like both of you really do know what you're doing. Super smooth and pretty fast, without being overly agressive or "douchy". Really good and a joy to watch!

I am currently considering to buy a z1000sx. This video really is my benchmark. A proof that a sport tourer can still get them knees down. Bravo to you and the rider on the ninja, beautifully executed cornering.

Got to wait abit longer for summer here in Norway sadly, I'm on a small honda grom at the moment haha. only had my licence since june last year and got hit by a car 1st of july and totalled my first Grom ( not my fault ), so my seat time on a bike is very short! Lets hope for a fantastic 2016 season for all of us! Cheers

really nice vids you do... no constant shit bubbling (talking) like in many other vids... no fucking permanent jump screens or any clip jumping / montage... no dumb overloud music...
JUST SIMPLE AND SOLID RIDING with a lovely sounding bike and some nice landscapes... very beautiful and enjoyable to watch !!!

Mit dir und deinen Videos ist es wie mit 911 und Tuning: Etwas bereits perfektes (RAW Material) kann man häufig nicht perfekter machen; viele Versuche enden in einem hässlichen häufchen Elend. DU bist aber einer der Wenigen, die den 11er tunen können, ohne seine wunderschöne Eleganz und Schönheit zu zerstören. Dein Hauch von Editing ist einfach schön passend (z.B. die geilen BF-Sounds). TOP! Und jezt weis ich net mehr was ich schreiben soll ausser geil geil geil ^^

Really well controlled riding. Kept it on the same side of the ride. Nice and smooth transitions from left to right. For me I especially like the end bit that shows the bike you ride. Most people wouldn't associate that mobile doing too much at all other than commuting. This is where than fun is.

Hey Schaaf, I know exactly what that feels like:-) that's why I love my CB 500, too. I also have bigger bikes, but I'll never sell my Honda, cause the feeling in tight turns up to 120 Km/h is unique and amazing, though it's not the strongest bike. Great video, keep on riding
