I have been playing the Vero X2 for 5 months. With the purchase of a Ping G430 SFT Driver the X2 is the straightest Golf Ball I have every hit. My Evnroll2V putter loves the feel on the greens too. Thank you OnCore and your engineering and commitment to better golf!!!

I am leaning towards X2 for the softer feel even though you haven’t been able to take advantage of it on the short game. Flight and distance control seems very good with the X2. The Elixr is giving a little more pop and your short game is on point with it as well.
It seems like you enjoy the X2 flight and distance a lot more, but your overall/short game with the Elixr was just too good to not think about when deciding. I personally would want to see the Elixr but feel like you'll choose the X2

First off, shout out to South Hampton and their greens! One of my favorite course to play!
Now to the nuts and bolts, although the Elixr performed well, you undoubtedly prefer the ball flight and feel of the X2… you’ll be choosing X2.

As a proud #TeamOnCore golfer who plays the Elixr on my YT & social channels (Joe: Project 56, a 10-year long term golf & health reclamation project), I have a feeling that your preference would be the VERO X2 based on flight style. But really, you can't go wrong with either OnCore Golf product. Great series!
I've been playing Elixr since ~2017 and as long as OnCore keep making them, I'll be playing them, they're the perfect ball for me. For you? Well, based on the way you play the long game, and the fact your short game is good to the point it doesn't really matter what ball you're playing from 80-in, I'm calling X2 for you. Again, great shout out to OnCore, in the DTC market they're by far the most underrated IMO. Keep the vids coming, cheers!
I love these videos on the ball test. Really good testing and explanation of what you are seeing/feeling. I am thinking the Vero X2, primarily because of the feel.

I found a Vero X1 at the end of the year and played 18 holes on course and probably another 18 on a simulator during the winter. I loved it, would like to check out the X2, but I just picked up some lightly used TP5's for a great deal soo i'll be playing those for the foreseeable future. I would like to order a dozen though and test them out.
I think you're going with the X2. When you are dialed around the green that seems to be when you play your best golf. You seem to always drive the ball well, so I think that extra feel around the green is more important in the long run. Love the videos Andrew!

Been playing the Elixr for several years, absolutely love it! The feel for me with the short game doesn’t feel as firm as x2. I also believe Andrew with the results you had Elixr should be in your bag!
The score is favoring Elixor but your feel is all over X2. So you should take the latter. Thanks for the video

I went through a similar test when I switched from the Taylormade TP5X to the Vice Pro Plus. I did a lot of short game shots, putting and then played 54 holes with each ball (not on the same day of course haha). I spent about 2 months testing and in the end I found that the Vice Pro Plus just worked a bit better for me (and the price was great). This was a really interesting series of videos you had on the OnCore balls, makes me want to get a dozen or 2 to try and compare haha.
It looks like the X2 is what you will end up with, but both balls seem to perform really well for you!

Well since I play the X1 right now and looking to graduate to the X2 I think the X2 is the way to go. Ball flight, distance and feel is all one awesome package with the X2.
The elixir spin around the green is a bit better but I think the other factors are a bit to speratic with the elixir. I would definitely say go with the X2. It is a great ball for "bad hits" also.

X2 please!! Been in my own "find my new golf ball" search for over a year! Would love to see how they compare to Vice Pro Plus, Prov1/1x, TP5x, Sugar, Piper Gold, etc.
You said it best..Elixr just wants to find the bottom of the cup. Something to be said for that. Based you stated preferences the v2 is my guess for your ball of choice.
So I’m a 10 handicap and have played with OnCore for literally since their release of the OG titanium core. I’ve played the elixir for probably 2 years consistently. The x1 I’m on maybe my 3rd dozen and meh it’s ok. The number one thing I absolutely love about the elixir is that you can’t give enough power. The harder you hit it the better it performs. I’m an elixir guy.

X2 for sure. I started playing x1 this past summer. All the amateurs tournaments I play in no one heard of on core. Players I played with noticed how far and well it went in the wind. On driver and irons.
Still have a box of the old elixers ones... hard as a rock lol. Should try the new ones vs old ones. x2 probaly though if softer feel
Yeah, from what I hear, the 2022 upgrade is night and day from the original Elixr
With no Iron Byron you have to take the good with the bad. Being a better golfer it would seem the X2 would be the likely choice and there in lies his conflict. The Elixer performed just as well which is a credit to On Core for making 2 first class balls that fit your level of play. I play Elixer and being an average golfer I am grateful that I can play a high performing ball and not pay retail prices. I am glad I've mad the choice to be on team On Core. He just proved how good both balls are.
Andrew always love your content! I say the Vero x2 for you brother! A player of your caliber and ball striking ability is going to benefit all around with the X2. I hope Oncore sees what we all do and put you on their Team!

X2!! I’ve played the Elixr and it spins to much for me. Also it’s about 1/2 club shorter even on good swings with all my clubs.
Definitely going to give and X2 a go and see if it performs better.
Yeah too much spin will have your irons falling out of the air too soon, X2 might be magical for you then!

I believe you will be going with X2. It has a lot of the same characteristics as the tp5x. From flight to spin. It is more of the tour ball you like to play on an everyday basis.

Team elixir! I say that because you said it’s a little “harder” off of the face. I’d prefer a ball I can kinda feel off the face. I’ve played with softer golf balls and it has felt like nothing. It’s hard for me to gauge distance with super soft golf balls
I think you enjoyed playing the X2. I played the Elixr and thought it was a decent ball. I wouldn’t mind trying the X2

I like the way you're keeping score based on the ball. Definitely plays a factor in which ball you're choosing.

From the previous 2 videos I thought you were for sure going to go with X2 but now I think your gonna choose ELIXR all the way. Seems like your play on the course was much better with it and performs good and consistently for you.

I play the Elixer, and the X1 for the summer, I have not tried the X2 yet.
ELIXR is the ball for you. Most of us can drive, but when it comes to the short game there is just no substitute. ELIXR ALL the WAY. ELIXR = Bacon. Brining home the Bacon!!!
Sounds like you really like the X2, but if it was me and I had a chance to go 4 under vs 2 under, guess what I would choose? 😂 Elixir just out performed the X2, but it really does matter on the greens and off the short game. Tough decision

I am going to say you should choose Elixr. I think you likely will choose the X2, but should choose the Elixr.

I’ll go with the underdog - elixir. Wish they had the green balls available for the 2022 version.
I think your going with Vero X2 mainly because it’s a softer feel and in the other video it preformed better on the tighter chip shots.
I feel like, even though the Elixir is scoring better, that the X2 is the ball to be chosen. My experience is the "harder" or firmer (Elixir) ball doesn't give the same feel as the softer (X2).
I did this same test a few days ago with the same balls lol. I personally like the Elixr, but I also like the short of the Vero X2. I went back and forth on which ball is better and I decided I would go with the Elixr. I think you will do the same and pick the Elixr.
I was multi-tasking while watching your video but did you alternate which ball you hit off the tee? The "second" golfer is typically better and was curious if it skewed your results. I love the TP5X and so I'm wondering if the Elixr is the comparable ball. As a weekend warrior, I'm always tweaking and I would be down for trying something new, especially if they save me a buck or two.
Elixr was white shot tracer and X2 was gold. If you’re a TP5x player, X2 would likely be the best ball to try out

I'm guessing Vero X2. Seems like you prefer the softer feel with wedges and around around the green. Awesome little series. Would love to see other non name brand ball tests like this.

After watching up until the Par 5, I think you will choose the X2. Based on the feel and extra distance you get with it over the Elixr, I do believe that will be what you choose by the end of testing.

VERO X2 LETS GO! Played the x1 and the elixer and liked both, but haven't hit the X2.
The Vero X2 is the way to go! I'm the perfect brand ambassador as I'm guaranteed to lose at least a dozen per round. Not only will my game improve from being chosen, but more people will know about the brand when they pick my shanks up 2 holes over.

believe it or not Elixr is a more spinny ball, but you will hit longer drives with the Vero X2 so it's amazing to have both options for what you want in a ball

I honestly believe you will go with the Elixr. I know score doesnt matter much, but i think it is the overall better ball for your game. It seems very reliable with what you need it to do. Either way it seems these balls are very good.

I also use the 2022 ELIXR, unfortunately my ball has never seen -4 in 8 holes. I’ve tried Vero x1, it just didn’t suit me. I’m a 14-15 handicap and I’m not good enough for a 4 piece ball, with ELIXR I feel like I can play a 3 piece urethane ball like Pro V1 for $20 less, even less when I bundle.
X2 seems to be a better overall fit for your game and swingspeed.
