I went to Indiana Beach several years ago but the park was VERY different then since I visited during the previous owner's regime and it wasn't run nearly as well. The Good: Cornball is really fun, Steel Hawg was great (it was new the year we went), the swings really are INSANE, the Skyride gives you some amazing views of the lake and park, Tiger is really fun, and the boat trip around the lake is gorgeous. The Bad: Hoosier Hurricane and Lost Coaster were NOT running (SO bummed we missed out on Lost!), we skipped the dark rides but IIRC I don't think they were even open, the water park water was BROWN in some spots which we saw from the Skyride, and I don't remember the food being that great but we skipped the tacos (I don't even remember what we ate that day). I probably need to go back at some point now that they seem to be taking better care of things there and I agree with Sarah, the views and the area are amazing around the lake (are the houses still huge there? There were some mansion sized houses around that lake!). Thanks for this awesome video and I'm glad Sarah enjoyed her first trip there! =)

We are so used to modern roller coasters that we have forgotten that in the 90s riding a roller coaster was something that excited you but was often painful. I was there last week and loved AATL, but mainly due to making sure the shoulder restraints were low enough to squeeze against, and then bracing for some of the jankier transitions. I marathoned it for about ten cycles in a row, and the ride ops thought I was insane. Perhaps they're right. The whole park is amazing, charming, and worth the side-trek. You made me long to go back there again soon (which I might do.)

I just came back from Indiana Beach. I rode the Triple Loop about 8 times. Front seat is the best. The last seat was very abusive. It backs some G force especially the first drop. If you brace your self and hold on I think it makes it a better experience. It really just needs softer restraints and it would be great. I thought it was an intense ride - just sit in the front. They will let you wait for front seat. Hurricane when it was first built was super smooth - they need to turn it into a hybrid with inversions. Everyone should support indie / local parks.

I find myself going to Indiana beach more often. You can't take for granted. Going to a theme park and getting to ride every single ride as much as you want. Reminds me of holiday world in the early 2000s before it got bigger I guess. Honestly the only people from around here that have been to Indiana Beach are people I've taken LOL. Honestly I think the issue on Triple loop might actually be the new trains. The old Schwarzkopf trains had wheelsets spaced far apart, allowing them to twist a lot and the carriage to smoothly follow suit. But the Mindbender trains, due to their design, have several bogies close together, and I cant help but think that means the trains cant conform around the sharp transitions as well, leading to the uncomfortable sensations at these twisted drops and turns. On Mindbender this might not have been an issue due to that ride being much larger and having more elongated transitions, but Triple loop is much more compact by comparison! Its just a hypothesis but I think thats the issue and the solution might be getting different trains from the ride. Either some in the classic configuration like how they were originally, or a newly designed train by someone like Gerstlauer.

It would be great if they could just use the same trains as Shockwave or if another manufacturer could basically recreate them. Indiana Beach isn't perfect, but the fact they cram 7 roller coasters onto just 10 acres is absolutely incredible. For perspective, its 30x smaller than most popular amusement parks.

So we have a lake house on Shaffer and as a kid IB was awesome. Use to be able to get dropped off by boat then picked up later. It use to be a very kid friendly park as most rides are for kids. 98% of that park has been the same for decades. Only 2 coasters have been built in the last decade or so. Steel hawg was built before it closed. Then the triple loop is the newest. It's too expensive now so we just play on the water. It use to be like 15-20$ for a full day wrist band.

I am hoping I get to go this year. I agree that lost coaster and the haunted castle are the best attractions there.
No mentions of what folks thought of steel hawg. Were they still running only one train?
I thought it was ok. The drop was good and the downward roll, but it is basically an upsidedown mad mouse, with too long a wait in line.
I am hoping if I go the info you gave for a pain free ride on triple loop, will make me want to ride it more than once.
I love the park though. Should have went when it used to be free to get in, with the ride wristbands. Made the experience so much better. They also had rock bands that would play at night. Even a Kiss Tribute band.

Such a shame a lot of people aren't digging All American Triple Loop, the park looks like they're struggling already and now the new investment looks like it's gonna flop. I just hope things work out for this place.

I think softer restraints would help... Its currently best in the front seat and the last seat was brutal. Its intense though... first drop is crazy the way its angled. Hanging on and bracing yourself helps too.

LOST COASTER ROCKS ! was there last week and going back soon . I live halfway between Indiana Beach and Cedar Point and i claim IB as my home park. A janky beautiful family owned park that is brilliantly designed on a small plot of land . A lot of the rides are built over the water .

  • @bradye21playsIndieHorror

Why is there a drive tire lift? Why is it so loud? Why are there two successive loops the same size and they look circular? So many questions just from looking at it i cant imagine riding it.

  • @jayducharme

I love Indiana Beach (especially Cornball and Frankenstein's Castle). Regarding your complaints about the OTSRs, Schwartzopf wasn't a fan of them. Most of his looping coasters used just a lap bar. And that allows your entire body to shift smoothly, reducing stress on your neck.

I totally agree with what Sarah said..💯💯👌👌like why invest in crappy coasters.when you could build like one or two decent ones...or possibly 3...this is what I would do for Indiana Beach ⛱️...1st..they need a invert.. something like monster at grouna land.. if they can't afford that then a Vekoma stc....just intertwin with stuff... inversions..airtime..that will kill here..2nd a launch coaster with inversions...intamin hot rail.. or what ever they call it...or zamplerla lightning launch.. something compact... inversions.air time...and 3rd a gers. Vertical lift and drop.. something like monster..but on smaller scale...if they build these 3 .
I'm telling you... Indiana will be on map... period 💯💯🎤🎤🎤..and if they also wanted they can rmc hurricane... you guys even said so your self..it sucks .. imagine that will some inversions... airtime... wicked turns...that will be sickkk...🔥🔥🔥🔥...but that's just what i would do.. thought's 🤔🤔🤔🤔

There wood coasters are custom buildl - one of a kind. That makes it a unique park. Its an old school park - they should get an old school Arrow coaster with inversions.

Taylor didn't ride it this time cause Sarah did it while he was re-riding All American Triple Loop. We've done a couple of these S&S El Loco's before- they're fun, but we're not a fan of the shoulder harnesses. Its much more enjoyable when they have lap bars, like the ones in Vegas and Australia

It's not a bad park. I like to see them moive kids' land, not having it under the big wood costers and as expensive as it might be RMC the Hoosier Hurricane maybe moive the drop tower and expand the water park it be a lot and take time but that may be the beast for that park

#Request : Now that you have both been to Indiana Beach, will you post a ranking video of all the boardwalk/seaside parks you have visited? I would love to see how a boardwalk park in the middle of corn country ranks against Santa Cruz, Morey's Piers, and Grona Lund.

I rode AATL as Magnum Force at Flamingoland (UK). Glass smooth, lap bars only. No seat belts or OTSR’s, just high backed seats. Rode about a dozen times during ERT. It’s a shame what’s been done to it.
Edited to add: It also ran with 5 car trains, not 3 (same as Mindbender, I think.)

I feel for parks like this, where they don't have a lot of money to spend on rides but they want to add new coasters for people so they try to find rides that fit in the budget they have to work with. But then they end up with janky relocations of rides that were questionable before they got moved across the world and they are just pain machines that nobody realistically wants to go on more than once. I feel like they would be better off saving for 3 or 4 times as long and getting something significantly more expensive but a better experience for guests.
