    Seekins make some badass rifles. I have the bravo in 6.5prc and that thing is a one hole rifle @ 100 yds on a good day.

    The only thing is, 6CM and 6GT are 1 : 8 and .308Win is 1 : 11.25. Their AR 6ARC is 1 : 8 also. Some of us would like to see a little faster twist rate.

    • @SlavGuns
      @SlavGuns  Před rokem +1

      Heh did not even look at twist rates. Yeah that’s a tad slow… will have to ask them on that.

    Why do they have it swing to the Right side of the rifle. I've held one and being a righty, I find the hinge a little too close to my thumb joint close to my hand.

    • @SlavGuns
      @SlavGuns  Před rokem

      so it is flat on at least one side..... instead of stock sticking out on one side, and the bolt handle on the other. Chirstensen does it the same way and you will see in upcoming video.

    Wait... at 1:38 he mentioned the Pro model comes with a Triggertech Diamond, yet the website says it's a Timney Hit trigger. Which is it?

    I feel disappointment that the 300 prc has a slow twist rate. 308 too.

    Until these companies realize you can get a MPA Matrix Pro PMR for $3000 now, they will always be second.
    You just cannot beat the value of the Matrix chassis. My .02.

    • @SlavGuns
      @SlavGuns  Před rokem

      MPA makes a good gun, but they are not the only one. =) For one, it is now almost $1,000 more than the Seekins and has a 9 week wait. Beyond that, the thing I am not a fan of, no interchangeable grips on the Matrix and just from the looks of it, I like the others quite a bit more. Variety is the spice of life. I do hope to get in one of their guns for review. I reached out about a year ago and they were a tad douchey...

    • @NBKmediaPRS
      @NBKmediaPRS Před rokem +1

      The PMR Pro 2 is 2499$
      The Matrix Pro most certainly does have interchangeable grips....not sure where you got your info....
      I am assuming here....but if you tried to get a gun for review without purchasing it....yeah, I would be a tad douchey too.....considering you would be profiting from said review....(again assuming)
      Yes, I am bias toward MPA. I own two of their chassis and lots of their other products.
      All I am saying is, there is a reason MPA has more podiums than any other chassis, and it is NOT even close. :)

    • @SlavGuns
      @SlavGuns  Před rokem +2

      @@NBKmediaPRS Matrix Pro has interchangeable grip panels, but you can't put on your choice of AR-15 grips. =) That is what I mean. Also, I am glad you brought up your bias. =) While I have not shot PRS... (that will change this year), I HEAVILY competed in the handgun world, USPSA. We are all adults here... it's largely the shooter and their skills, and not necessarily the gun, although we all know that depending on the area, whatever is the popular thing, that is what people get. And for that reason, it is also why companies hand out free product to top shooters to say... "look... they won because of the gun." lol. As far as the reviews... the assumption is quite wrong. Unless your channel is tiny and not generating any views, in the vast majority of the cases, it is the companies that profit multiples from the said review. It takes a creator on average 20 to 40 hours to get a review video done. That of course does not take into account the actual costs incurred to produce it... ammo, gas to and from the range, and then any help. So just to get to the range runs me $50 in gas there and back (for the 750 yard range). And generally, we are asking for the gun on loan to make the video. In any case, the gun costs them $1,500 to make... they will not be able to hire a video crew to make them a video for less than $3,000. Sending out guns to targeted creators is the BEST Return on Investment a company could make, far better than "placing on the podium" or even sponsoring a match. (and since I handled sponsorship for big USPSA matches....) At a big match you may have how many... 200 people? For less money you can reach tens of thousands. lol. So for a smaller company, working with creators of almost any size, is a bigger win for them, then the creators. The only place or time it is quite different, is with large companies or products with mass market appeal. For a smaller creator, doing a video, or say a launch video for a new handgun, it is going to immensely grow your channel. For instance, the generic gun owner interest in "Ruger Precision Rifle" is 23 times higher than interest in MPA Matrix... 23x. So... purely from the business perspective, it makes very little sense, and personally, I do not feel like spending thousands to buy a rifle, and then hundreds more on ammo and many hours to promote a company which will have a negligible effect on growth. Hope that makes sense, and probably a bit more info than you were looking for.

    • @SlavGuns
      @SlavGuns  Před rokem +1

      @@NBKmediaPRS Oh and again, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about their products... merely the economics and the attitude... and that's perfectly okay. Quite a few companies want to stay small/niche and even more... "what's a youtube?" Fortunately quite a few more companies are willing and anxious to get their guns in creators hands, and generally those companies also provide growth for the creators.

    • @NBKmediaPRS
      @NBKmediaPRS Před rokem +1

      @@SlavGuns Question: Why doesnt a company just have a "CZcamsr" on staff.....that way they dont have to loan out ANY products?
      This is my second channel. I am not trying to grow this channel at all. It is just for documenting my PRS adventures.
      My first channel has nearly 40k subs, but like most channels on CZcams, if you dont cuck to the Algorithim, a channel gets pushed to the side. I am totally okay with that. I have a line in the sand unlike most people nowadays. :)
      The CZcams gods will never sway me to create content for the sake of views. I will delete every video before I do that.
