I am a grandpa. I would be over the moon with happiness to see my granddaughter do what you've done! Thank you for these explanations.
Thank you very much😊
Im an uncle and I wish I could speak another language like she does.
@@luciasworkshop So... We all are grateful for this revelation to answer so many questions, thank you so much because so many of us would have contributed to know these answers. On your shop rewire espisode, I thought I saw a silver CZcams plaque just laying up there disrespected on a shelf. If there are any other accomplishments from you or yours could you please link it to to this channel so we can follow it -- unless the youtube god's have removed it and your don't want to talk about it which we will respect.
me too

Thank you so much for sharing your story Lucia! A wonderful example of how younger folks can follow a passion that we all can learn from. Appreciate you taking time to provide the english speaking version of your channel. It helps us all see there are wonderful people all over the globe. Your an inspiration to us all. Keep up the great work!
Thank you very much!
Smart, talented, pretty, and able all at the same time. Nobody is perfect, but you're about as close as you can get. Love the channel. Keep up the good work, and thanks for sharing some of your life story with us.
Thank you very much😊😉
I agree completely she is impressive on how quickly she has learned
thats pretty spot on, i couldn't have said it any better way.
@@GETTY-gr7gf Maybe. But since I have no idea who you are ... I'll take your word for it.
I used to run gyms and at the age of 36 decided to study my passion, engineering. Absolutely love female engineers like yourself. More power to you!
Thank you for the back story. It puts such a nice human touch on your content.
Hello Lucia,
Welcome to the world that grumpy men tend to think of as their own. I have been working as a machinist, toolmaker, while welding and fabricating what we need on our farm. Grandpa is fortunate to have someone to hand the reins to at this inevitable part of our lives. You, and your husband are fortunate also, to have each other to hug and lean on during “those” times.
My wife Diann and I have been married for fifty years, and are supportive of each other’s dreams and needs in life. This can be a great source of joy and comfort. My best to you and your family, in your adventure.
Your’s, is the first lavender mill vise that I have
About being clean - I remember reading something Rudy Kouhoupt said. He has published many books about his shop wisdom, wrote many articles about machining and took and developed his own photos for the articles. Someone once asked why you never saw metal chips in his photos... he said you would see them when it was important for them to be there. I loved that.
You don't have to be greasy, dirty to be a good fabricator... When that's important to what you're doing then it'll show. lol
CZcams is the best, there are some seriously skilled and experienced people on here and gaining knowledge from the for completely free is amazing. The skills we learn on here would cost thousands in course fees elsewhere.
I'm not going to lie...I was 1st drawn to your channel by your appearance. A gorgeous woman welding? This I've got to see. But looks only get you so far. I keep coming back because your skills and projects are fantastic! Great channel. Your husband is one lucky guy.
Greetings from the old welder Andi. That was so nice to hear your Story. 🤗
Thanks for the backstory Lucia. Not only is your content amazing, so is your editing. I know having a channel myself, thats a whole other skill in itself. Looking forward to more videos!
Thank you😊
Need a Keystone Girl & Lucia colab lol!
@@sonarsup1934 hah! Ya thats a great idea. The Keystone girl wouldn’t be much help though. Unless she needs a beer of course.
A proud Grandpa I must say. Good luck, I can see you are progressing well. Keep on doing what you are doing. Will always keep watching.
Your grandpa must be so proud. I hope one day to have such a wonderful grandchild to pass down my teachings to. Thank you for sharing your journey with all of us strangers. Means a lot.
I think you have achieved more in your 34 years than I have in my 74 years keep it going brilliant
I was impressed by you and your wisdom from your first video and am impressed more with each video. I love that you are using your grandpa's shop and tools and that you have the support of you husband and family behind you. That makes for a winning ticket.
Lucia, you are amazing. and your English is Excellent your grandfather must be so proud of you and to see his shop continue on and to grow. Pete
I know your Grandpa is so happy to know you learned a great deal wiyh his encouragment.
You welding skills are really super nice.
Have a blessed day and keep smiling.
Thank you! Have a nice day too ;0)
Thanks Lucia for the background on the shop and yourself. I appreciate that you are self taught, and do not let thing stand in your way. Kudos to your husband for assisting you in any manner that he can. Also, thanks for the motivation to clean up my shop as well.
From the USA......I would love to be your neighbor, I live outside of Washingto, DC. and everyone here is a paper pusher, can not even change a light bulb. Your building skill is great. What a nice person, thank you for all the videos. I am waiting for your skid steer
project to start again. What a cool project.
.....You've described the metro suburbs fairly well.
Plenty of British people watch your channel as well. Love your work.
Hi Lucia. I'm Impressed by what Your doing. Alot of people would be afraid to do work in a Machine Shop. John Brzozowski, 01-19-2023
Thank You to your grandfather !! You and your husband together do a truly wonderful channel, and its so good to now understand your backstory. Im really proud of you for your interest, initiative and success, as well Im also proud of your husband for being a wise man to encourage and assist you to follow your interest. Here in Australia, most men seem to be not quite so evolved and many, many dont want women in 'trades' work. I know this from first-hand experience as a woman who went through hell doing an electrical apprenticeship. Although that was many years ago and things have definately improved, as the younger men are so much less closed-minded. So I get a lot of enjoyment watching your channel, and I look forward to seeing you complete your projects. Kind regards !!
Oh, thank you very much for the support and so kind words!
What a marvelous story, best wishes to you and your family.🤠🤠
I love you, with genuine admiration. Your husband is so blessed to have you and you to have him to motivate, encourage and support you to blossom into the beautiful flower yet capable powerhouse that you are., You are a blessing to the rest of us! Thank you both! My life is better and joyous, having experienced your videos!!
Lucia, thank you for all that you do in your grandpa's shop and in your life. Do what you can while you can.
You husband is quiet good at handling the production/direction aspects, plus all the behind-the-scene muscle for your channel. You are a very pleasant, articulate and confident as the host and narrator. Truly interesting and a rare treat to enjoy.
I too am a grandpa and over 2 years ago pushing age 80 I decided to buy a TIG welder and learn aluminum welding. After building a couple of steel projects to get started on the machine, one of which was a stand for my mill, I switched to the aluminum. That stuff is very hard to weld compared to steel, and I don't know how you picked up those skills so very fast. I sure did not. Also I have been self taught mostly from CZcams where I found you when you first started your welding in the shop. My first aluminum project was a cargo sled to tow behind the snowmobile. Not nearly as difficult as the boat you used to improve your skills. Now I guess it's time to go to the shop and continue on the current project, an aluminum launch tower for my rockets. You are amazing!!!!!
🥲🥲🥲I also had my grandpa that loves machinery, he never get to showed me and now I have my own stuff and always think about him, because I remember when he was ill, he was telling me that this was so important. I was just a child and NEVER forget it. He said machinery change the world around us.
I think it’s fantastic what you are doing, it’s incredible to see a woman that is a phenomenal self taught fabricator. I’m 34 with four children, three being girls. We watch your videos together and I think it’s very inspiring for them and myself to see the level you are at! As a self taught individual as well, I will be introducing them to welding/fabrication after watching your content. Thank you for what your doing, keep up the great work!
Lovely story! Thanks for sharing and all the best on your future projects!!!
Hi Lucia !...Just a big BRAVO for what you are and what are doing ! Greetings from Greece !
Well done Lucia. You are an inspiration to all those who want to accomplish something,it's great that you can learn and complete any task you set your mind to. The world needs more people like you.
Also thanks to your husband for supporting you and doing camera work. Keep up the good work you two 👍
I'm so glad to see someone follow dreams - your site is one of my favorite.
the best Russian accent I've ever heard, congratulations!
Well done Lucia. Thank you for giving us an insight into you. I completely admire your willingness to follow your passion. Keep up the great work and I look forward to continuing to watch your awesome content.
Lucia, it was a pleasure for me to find your channel and get to know your work and your challenges.
I'm Brazilian and I try to follow MANY Russian channels, mainly related to the development of mechanical artifacts and, surprisingly for me, I discovered a lot of similarity between Brazil and Russia in this field, in the way of doing things, in sharing their way of doing things, I would say, even in the lightness of living and working (in detachment from what they do and how they do it).
I've been learning A LOT from this follow-up of Russian videos (spoken in Russian, which I try to solve with CZcams's automatic traditions). Today we have several Russians (usually Russians women) living in Brazil, spreading the Russian language and culture, and helping to bring our countries and our national souls closer together. A big hug.
Oh, thank you. It's great! Greetings from Russia ;0)
Thank you for the wonderful work you do, and for sharing it with us.
Thank you for sharing so much with us Lucia. You are an inspiration to us all and we are looking forward to more of your content.
Love your projects, videos, and energy. Congrats to you and your husband for sticking out this journey!
Thank you so much for this video, Lucia, and for sharing a little of you person. I love what you do and admire the courage it must have taken to change your career in such a dramatic fashion. Best wishes!
You are an inspiration that is sorely needed in this day and age, keep up the wonderful work Lucia. God bless you.
Prayers for your Grandpa. Keep up the good work.
Just found your channel, so refreshing to see you have learnt by doing and not what someone has told you. I look forward to watching more of your content and the projects you are making. All the best from the UK.
Your like a perfect person
Hugs and support goes out to you !
You are awesome. I have a small welding and fabrication shop in Idaho specializing in pipe welding. I have been welding for 25 years and you inspire me at times. Best regards.
Very cool shop! My hats off to you for your dedication and to your grandfather for his support!
Hi Lucia, my name is Leonard. I think that it's so cool that you have chosen to put your grandfather's shop to such good use. I have picked up a few neat tricks and actually wanted to try and copy your plasma table when I get some free time. I would also like to say what a lucky man your husband is to have such a beautiful and talented wife that doesn't mind getting a little dirty in the shop. Also would it be possible for us to meet your grandfather? It would be an honor to meet and thank a man who was so instrumental I teaching and helping you when in his day was not so easy to do.
Thank you for being how you are, don't ever change,
Leonard
Looking forward to future videos. Best wishes for grandpa. Greetings from Norway.
I am very impressed by your attitude, your skills and your tenacity. Keep up the great work, I very much enjoy watching your videos and look forward to many more.
I absolutely love your videos! My dad left his shop to me along with all his tools. I know how much your Grandpas shop means to you! You’re a great fabricator! Will be watching for more videos!!👍🏻👍🏻
Very nicely done intro to a life lived well! I wish the best for you grandfather in his later years. I work in a shop that they want all of the schooling for this type of work, but sometime you run into someone who taught themselves and you find some really good work being done. I think it is cool that your shop has a family history and are sharing it with us.
Great to hear a bit more about you. Your work thus far on this channel has been amazing, and I can't wait to see the continued progress on the skid-steer. I'm sure Grandpa is over the moon with happiness at your abilities and successes thus far. You're surely an inspiration to a lot of people. Keep up the great work, Lucia 🙂👍
You are fantastic, such a great story and to top it off... you are such a beautiful person!
Wow. A woman with a workshop, just what a man needs! Is this some sort of dream? Interesting story, very well spoken, enjoyed the video. It was actually uplifting to see something nice from Russia with all that is going on and from such an educated and talented woman. Grandpa is a lucky man to have you, you would make him feel so content, his woodshop is not lost and you have learned the skills to use his workshop. Amazing. Thankyou and Congratulations from Australia. In Aussie, we say, Good on ya mate for having a go! 👍
Yeah. It's amazing how easy it is to drum up generalised racism in the western world.
You are an inspiration to all. You have proven if you put your mind to something you can achieve. Very impressive quality in your workman ship.
