Nice point one issue that was based on the Sherman idea of overwhelming attacks which did not exist Sherman’s especially the later 76s has no issue taking out a tiger 1 and the 4-1 ratio is due to Sherman squad sizes tiger 1s were kill ed by lone Sherman’s plenty… tigers still a cool tank though.
@@Goober762 no argument about tigers being cool but they were over engineered. Not many were built, more tigers were destroyed by their own crews due to mechanical problems. If you enjoy books about WW2 tanks, I recommend Spearhead. It follows an American crewman and a German crewman. One line from the German side I recall, "one of our tanks is worth 10 of yours, problem is, you always bring 11."

@@H2O_Addict transmission on these was better then T34. Believe it or not. Tiger was faster then a Sherman and weighted a hell of a lot more. Easiest tank to drive in WW2.

It's fully understandable why during World war2 most everyone was terrified of these. The size definitely has an effect, plus soldiers on the ground hearing that whine,and knowing that was death if they were seen, yeah, it's a beast, even though it's old.

It was at a famous battle on a street literally called Tank Alley after the battle that had taken place there in modern day Ukraine (Donetsk) similar instances to this had played out all across during world war II after the Soviets brought in their 35,000 t34s against Germany's pathetic 700 tiger tanks 🤣

Such a bad ass tank so SO ICONIC. Take away the Nazi atrocities, their military was second to none. Yes they lost but their advancement shot America to the world's superpower off the back of so many creations. They were ahead of their time.
unbelievable that this machine turned 80 this year. it doesn't even look nearly as old as it is, thanks to all the engineers working on it for countless hours
