AWS offers 12 certifications which fall into four tiers: foundational, associate, professional, and specialty. The only foundational certification AWS bestows is Certified Cloud Practitioner. AWS recommends this certification for professionals with six months of technical or non-technical experience using AWS.
AWS offers three associate-level certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, and AWS Certified SysOps Administrator. Candidates for associate certification should have at least one year of hands-on experience using the AWS platform.
Advanced students can pursue two professional certifications and five specialty certifications. Candidates for these certifications should have at least two years of AWS cloud computing experience.

I have a computer science degree and I have achieved a high grade, first class degree, do you think it’s necessary to achieve the aws certificates. At the moment I’m doing a Udemy course to work on my skills and I’m hoping that would open door for me in the future.
Skills are necessary, certification is optional but it can help you.
Answer me this if you have 2 candidates with same skills but one with certification other one without certification which one would you choose? :)
@@cloudchamp I would obviously pick the one with certificate however that wasn’t my question. I said I have graduated from uni with a computer science degree and I thought it’s unnecessary to get the aws certificate, I think I should just learn the skills and apply jobs because I already have a degree in computer science.
@@oz2451 yes. you can choose to skip certifications
Don't think of certifications as a requirement for the actual work performed but rather a requirement to get through whatever app the HR department is using to filter resumes. Especially when you are first starting out and don't have any related job history, you need a way to help you stand out from everyone else with the same degree. After all, they might receive 100s of applications per job just within a couple of days so they have to have some way of objectively narrowing down the list of potential candidates.
For a lot of positions, what specific degree you might or might not have doesn't matter at all. They are just looking for a degree as an arbitrary fact that they can use to filter and pair down the number of resumes to be reviewed by an actual human.
@@cloudchamp you told that one should have hands on experience with aws to give the exam...so what exam will you recommend for someone who is still in college with 0 experience
You solved all my doubts. I will sit for AWS SAA next month 🙏
Informative video. Thanks man.
You are very welcome 🤗
This explanation is so clear!
Thank you 😊
Which one would u recommend for a beginner who has less to zero experience in programming?
Thanks for sharing this 👍
Your welcome 🤗
Excellent explanation
Glad you liked it
Very clear explanation of all AWS certification 👏
Thanks a ton
which aws certification should i do for devops engineer and data engineering roles
How much does it cost for each of the certifitions?
Clear explanations of all the certificates
Plz share ur WhatsApp or FB id
Nice, explanation 👍
Thank you Sanjay 👍🏻
Very informative video 😀
Glad you think so!
Bro is it necessary to clear all three option of associate level for a student in BE
Very useful video
Thanks 😊
Bro im recently graduated and took courses about aws at Hyderabad institute and i want to do certificate which one is better for me as a Fresher?
Hello champ, thanks for your video, which one of these certificates should I take if I want to be a cloud engineer?
I would say Atleast Solutions Architect associate and then you can apply while getting others too
sir i am not belongs to IT back ground but i complete my AWS and DEVOPS also which certification is needed to got the job, plzz sir reply me ..
Good Explanation bro
You are welcome 🤗
Can i do professional without associate??
I'm a beginner in cloud and have made some projects using aws. Which certificate should i take for getting internships?
Aws solutions architect associate OR Aws Developer associate.. but in my opinion Developer associate is better
if i am working on the MLops then what certification i
For someone wanting to be a devops engineer do you recommend getting all three associate certs and then the devops profession cert? I have basic knowledge of the cloud already, I know the certs are role based so does it make sense to get the solutions architect associate cert if my goal is devops?
Yes !
Certification does not matter much and you don’t need Devops professional certification for becoming certificate , just getting one of the associate certificate as it can show that you have knowledge of cloud ☁️ what I would suggest is along with cloud , start learning Linux, Git, networking..
@@cloudchamp That just saved me so much time! Thanks so much for your advice, this was super helpful. 😊
great explanation bro. There are none like you. You cleared my lot of doubts. thanks a lot could you please tell me which certifications and skills I have to learn to become a cloud Architect? I'll be very glad if you clear me this. thank you
I have created shorts on which certifications are important to get devops jobs faster.
Check it out
@@cloudchamp not devops but cloud architect. are they both same?
AWS SAA and AWS SA Pro
Hello Brother, I am AWS SA Professional certified. Please suggest me next roadmap.
I will be sitting for AWS CCP exam thanks for this video ☺️🙏
🙏🙏🙏
Hi Cloud champ, it seems to do any certification there is no prior certification is required. But you told for devops professional and speciality exams associate level certification mandatory. Can you pls clarify.
Yea for devops you need either developer associate or sysops associate same way for speciality you need any one prior cert it can aws cloud practitioner too
Hi actually I started following you on LinkedIn now. I got to know that you have also cleared hashicorp terraform associate exam as well. Can you pls share resources and guidance for this as well ?
Yes I cleared Hashicorp Terraform Associate Exam few weeks ago and to be honest it wasn’t difficult as AWS associate exams maybe because I had all concepts cleared. I didn’t took any course except a practice test by Bryan Krausen on udemy.
Focus more on terraform pricing model , what feature is available in Terraform enterprise and terraform cloud etc… 👍🏻
If you need anything else let me know
@@cloudchamp thanks a lot.
Hello. Currently am working in linux and database admin and completed the ccp. For associate level which one I should pick either solution architect or developer or else Do I need to complete both certification
You can do both, Developer focus on tools that Developer might use and will need you to have some about of coding language for services like Lambda and others
Whereas solutions architect teaches you how to use core aws services and how to deploy an app
I would recommend starting with solutions architect but if you have developer background start with developer associate
the foundational exam also will get certification?
Yes
Hey,
I have a zero knowledge in IT, my goal is Cloud Security. Aws learn path:Cloud Practitioner -> Solutions Architect -> SysOps Admin and then Security Specialty. Is it right? Give me an advice please. Thx .
Yes that’s the correct path. 👍🏻 if you have zero knowledge it’s always recommended to do AWS CCP.
All the best 😀
@@cloudchamp thx bro, keep it goin'
I have done AWS course i want to do AWS global certification
@cloudchamp for devops engineer professional certificate which was best associate certifate sysops or developer
Developer 💯💯
Hello. I work in IT company as a Sr system engineer. I have passed the exam of AWS cloud practitioner and Please suggest which associate exam I should give. It seems that Sysops Administrator is the same with my field because Solutions architect and developer are both for developer related. Please suggest.
You can go ahead with sysops mostly all the associate pretty much similar
What sort of jobs does the aws associate solutions architect land? since it is not very technical. I assume it is geared for a consultant type role. Is the salary high with associate architect cert? I just dont know if there is a defined career path for aws achitect vs sys ops does. It can go from sys ops --> devops ---> developer.
Alam you cannot become solutions architect with the aws solutions architect associate cert, it just give you the knowledge to deploy application and use different aws services which is very basic for solutions architect job but you can get junior cloud admin or devops engineer roles
@@cloudchamp so shouldnt the developer or sys admin certs be more valuable? since jobs would be cloud admin or devops enigneer roles?
Hi Brother,
I want to prepare for SAA-003. Should I go with Stephane Maarek’s course or Neal Davis?
Please suggest. Any if the course is 24-28 hrs long how much time I should spend on completing the course considering I have some handson experience with AWS.
Both of them are pretty good but I would say Stephane’s course is what you should take.
It took me 2 months of everyday practice to complete and pass the course, should be the same for you
@@cloudchamp Okay Bhai, Thanks a lot.
Is the CCP certification enough if I want to get a job as full stack developer? I don't have intention to go for a devops or cloud related job
CCP is the foundational certificate and don’t help much. Go for the associate ones
I am a desktop support engineer, Which AWS Certification to choose
right now I working for Windows, Linux, Mac and Live network Support
Cannot find you on LinkedIn. Anyway planning to start on the foundation aws certification before i study for the Sap on Aws specialty certification since that's my field. Not much information on SAP on AWS
Yeah you need a cert before you can do any specialty , but just be aware that specialty are bit tricky so make sure you prepare well 🙌
All the best 👍🏻
@@cloudchamp yes im going to attempt the associate certification first. Thanks
Bro.. which certification i have to do for as a deveops ?
Aim for DevOps professionals certification
Hi
My brother working as a data analyst and he need do aws certification. So which aws certification is suitable for him.
Aws solutions architect associate and aws certified data Analytics specialty exam
Do we require any amount of coding knowledge for aws ccp and associate?
Not for ccp and not even for associate but helps in few questions
At the associate level is it compulsory to give all three certifications? or we can choose any one of our choice
You can choose Any of one your choice but if you have time and want to do it you can also get the other ones 👍🏻
@@cloudchamp Thankyou! Can you also tell us exactly how much will it cost to do these certificates :)
@@rishisharma6302 100 for cloud practitioner, 150 for associates (but if you passed practitioner you get 50% coupon) and 300 for professional levels (50% off when you pass previous exams)
more info in the aws certifications page
@@cloudchamp okay got it thankyou so much 😊
How many hours course I need to complete For AWS solution architect associate. If you have a link for the SAA course please ping here I will complete it asap.
About 25 hour course, Stephane marrek on udemy
@@cloudchamp what about in the AWS skill builder? Because I need to complete it on aws website only so . Please ping me the exact url I need complete the SAA course. Yesterday I have checked udemy Stephan course its about 27 hours but on skill builder I saw 54 hours so . Please help me out for this
As a fresher after CCP course how to join any company. Could u please tell.
It’s difficult to get a job just with CCP as it is the foundational cert but you can try applying to companies looking for junior roles hopefully you should get the job👍🏻
All the best!
Is it necessary tht one shud b frm engineering background or any one can do ths
Anyone can do this, background do not matter.
Even if you do not have a degree you can still do it 👍🏻
👍
🙏🙏
Hi brother Iam AWS DevOps Engineer with 1year of experience can I go with AWS Developer Associate
Absolutely go for it!
Thanks! This is really informative. Pricing info would have helped.
Right I forgot to add those.
AWS CCP 100$
AWS ASSOCIATES 150$
AWS PROFESSIONALS 300$
best regards from panama 🇵🇦
Thanks brother , happy to help 🤝
@@cloudchamp Yes, because yesterday, I started the course cloud practitioner essentials, but I'm following an AWS list and with your video I was able to understand better and well, I just have to study and save the $100, because for me the certification is expensive.
My ultimate goal is to migrate from IT support to a Cloud Engineer ☁to be able to work remotely for a company that pays well and recognizes my work.
Best regards from panama 🇵🇦
Hey can you plz reply me query mujje ye batade ke agr hum aws ke courses pe enroll karte he and uski fees pay karte h to kia bad me test k fees alag deni h and certificate kia test k bad issue hoga?
Great Video :)
I have one doubt , I am currently working as java Developer and complete beginner in Cloud . I want to start preparing for the AWSCertification and bit confused which one to choose from AWS solution Architect Associate or AWS developer Associate .
It would be great if you can help with this.
Thanks
If you have developer background it will be easy for you to choose developer but there isn’t much difference between both so you can prepare and sit for both exams
@@cloudchamp thanks a lot for reply 👍😊
When you said skip the White papers i bust out laughing your right if your a beginner you should skip them because they are extremely tedious i subbed
Thank you 😊 🤝
solution artitect and associate developer which is hard which is easy
Both of them have pretty much same difficulty level but if you are working as a developer or has coding background developer one will be easy for you 👍🏻
@@cloudchamp I am from coding background.
And What is the level of coding
@@Ashis_Kumar90 You will get AWS services like Lambda and more which requires knowledge of coding + other AWS services.
Level of coding is like just enough to create functions and using AWS SDK
Shout out to Adrien Cantrill too, his courses are great
I agree! Adrian explains things in a very easy manner ✅
After aws cloud practitioner which one should i go for developer or sysops associate ? For devops engineer professional.
Im hell confused 😕
Do Developer Associate one
@@cloudchamp apka bohut shukria 🤲
@@aqsamuhammad1505 Best of luck!!
Batana kaisa gaya exam
@@cloudchamp in sha Allah 😊🤲
I hugely aspire in Devops scope so based on your recommendation I should be SAA-03 then jump to Developer associate right ?
Secondly having some projects with 2x certified Practitioner & Solutions associate will definitely provide advantage to grab job right ?
💯 percent
@cloud champ bro need your suggestion. Can you please tell me where I can contact you ?
