Seriously, this scene reflects the "perfect day" for lots of us. I could spend all my days writing and delivering letters, walking enjoying every element of nature and form of life, visiting friends, watching the sunset, talking to animals and feel protected by them. My own cabin, my own days, quiet and perfect days...
"The rain has moved on And left a new day Nothing seems to move everything is still It's just a perfect day The shadows and light That move with the wind Hidden violets grow splashed with summer spray Just another perfect day On the wild and misty hillside Fear is nature's warning Hunger here is never far away And all of this world Is for children who play Days that never end always should remain Another perfect day"
I’m not gonna lie, as a black kid growing up in the projects of the Washington DC suburbs in the 90’s I used to think my mom and sisters were a little weird for liking this particular movie. In some ways I guess it made sense she did raise us in strict Christian faith and always done things to shield us from things happing around us in some of the neighborhoods we lived. I was in denial, but the intro and this ending credits always stuck with me lol. So I always remember the one with the Rolly Polly pudding that featured the cats and mouse lol. But was that a separate story of the film, wasn’t there another one? My mother is in her 60’s and stills holds on to all the old vhs tapes we watched as kids lol
Sooo nostalgic to see this again. My daughter and I used to love watching this when she was little. Thanks so much for posting this version from the TV programme.
I saw this production back in my childhood in the 90s when I was Little Hallingbury Primary School kid age. Broadcasted on the TV screen which was recorded onto video.
Haven't listened to this song at all after watching the show when I was little but would always play back the song in my head over the years. Loved watching this show as a kid and always wished to stroll through a town/ village like this someday ... after the rain has passed of course :)
I moved from the English countryside to Australia when I was 10 years old. I used to watch this as a teenager and also when my daughter was young, and it still has me feeling nostalgic.

I would feel happy to do all these things too.
