I bought over 15-20 boxes of Paradigm just before the reprint. Now it's dropped so much I feel like I should buy more but damn. did NOT see this coming. have 0 lost abyss because I missed the boat and looks like that's where I will go into now. Still see lost abyss more than double the other 2 boxes. U think it will remain higher than the other 2 at reprint or it can become similar prices for all three?

I think for the casual collector base (which is the majority of the buyers of Pokémon products), these reprints are great for the sets that have become way too expensive in such a short time.
100%. And I dont agree with the uploader of the video. This is good for the pokemon company. As long as they're selling what they're printing then why would this hurt them?

It burns so many people out who want to keep up to date with the newest sets, only to have another 300 card set pop up a few months later, and then on top of that, the sets that are only 2 years old is already reaching upwards of $200/$250 a box +. Reprints keep collecting a set more realistic.
I like your perspective as for me right now. I'm holding off, just waiting for some bigger sets to drop but not buying anything for a while. I got plenty.
Great video have subbed, cheers from New Zealand. Big japanese card fan. I think the Paradigm Trigger and Lost Abyss are great sets and if they get cheaper still after the reprint I'm in. Still can't believe Star Birth hasn't moved in price at all though.

Im new to pokemon TCG card collecting and have purchased 100% of Scarlet violet expansions including the new one in terms of booster boxes (or multiple booster bundles if no booster box). I also bought all of sword and shield expansions except 2 (vivid voltage and darkness ablaze), yes i bought Evolving Skies (rip wallet). Im ripping everything and holding all rares for 10+ years, you think im probably fine?

You cannot say that everything can be reprinted, as long as it's legal in the tournament, there is a possible reprint. so be careful with that esp if you are buying it at inflated price. but if not tournament legal, it's totally fine and pretty much safe to buy. as long as you buy it at a decent or msrp price.
PC ETBs are the only limited thing in Pokemon rn. Honestly, and I know this is a bad thing to say, but the only thing to do is scalp PC ETBs when they're on the Pokemon Center and make instant double profit. Most sets you wont profit that fast but like with 151 the new Rocket set will be the same situation.
I agree the late SwSh era reprints came out of nowhere!! It sucks if you’ve been accumulating these boxes over the last few years, but you’re right to look at it as an opportunity to buy more.
I’d be shocked to see The Pokemon Company continue to reprint sets like this: I think it was a strong reaction to an exceptional market circumstance.
Prior to this, they were much more predictable with their print waves and my bet is they’ll move back to that now that the market has stabilized.
But, only time will tell! Maybe they’ve now got a taste for the profitability that can come from the short term destruction of their markets 😅

Personally I've been really reluctunt to invest on anything since Dream League got to weird places in 2020 so right now I'm going crazy on Mercari. 151, Shining Treasure, 151, Incandecent Arcana, 151, Paradigm Trigger, Lost Abyss, 151, Crimson Haze actually, I like the set, Clay Burst because Iono, that's it, that's all I need and 151 of course. All the spare money I have I'm throwing on boxes right now, I've been starved for years basically now I'm having fun xV
Got a bunch of 151 around $55 per box. Would like to get some paradigm trigger boxes. I think its a good set but not sure about the demand.. Waiting for lost abyss to drop in price to get some boxes.. Not buying any of the new sets not a fan of them.

Yes! with the God pack chase, tons and tons will be ripped open everyday. plus if you want to open them, now is the right time since i find it very profitable.
I used to be in the mindset of saving up money to buy sword and shield japanese boxes, but after watching one of your vids, Ive changed to buying cheap sv sets such as night wander, mask of change, crimson haze, cyber judge wild force etc. I really like these middle generation sets a lot, and I dont get why their so underrated! Im planning to hold boxes for 6-10 years or even more because I actually really like the look of sealed booster boxes lol

I think they can only print sets out of rotation. If they go beyond Lost Abyss then they will destroy the Pokemon market.
Question is how much will they reprint?
recent decks topping really encourage them to reprint those sets in rotation tbh like Lost Box topped NAIC, Lugia winning Japan Championships. not a surprise if im gonna be honest and those sets were the start of the bubble before it hit its peak.

I welcome all reprints so that people can play and collect the cards as intended. Stop investing in trading cards and you'll have fewer problems.
Investing in cards will give you fewer problems in other areas of life 🧠

If you are a collector, a reprint isn’t evil. It only sucks for scalpers and resellers. So who cares?!
Collecting goes hand in hand with investing imo, you’d be more proud to own a product worth $1,000 than a product worth $1. I care because a segment of my collection in the short term is devalued and less rare, but in 10 years it shouldn’t matter too much
@@bonnietastic_ Agreed, I bought 2 151 jap @$560 aud(aus), and although i intend to keep long term, what pisses me off is that now I could have bought 3 boxes at that price, althuogh long term I can laugh about it, right now i'm not haha
@@bonnietastic_ Not even close. Collectors and investors are nowhere near the same. One does it for the hobby, the other looks at it from the perspective of "How much money will this make me down the line?"
