ive been carrying the hellcat RDP for a couple years now...ive added the 15rd mags, shield smsc, and streamlight tlr-8....its almost a hellcat pro comp with various levels of concealment options with the 10/13/15rnd mags.....It is the most accurate and comfortable pistol I feel confident with when i dont want to carry a G17
I'm a die hard SA fan, but I wish they sold individual components to upgrade your firearms as opposed to just coming out with new models with minor upgrades.
I have not the Hellcat and Hellcat Pro. I have a manual safety on both of them and the comp doesn’t have the option. I’ll pick up a slide and barrel once they offer one 👍
Sadly this was the response I just received from Springfield sales on Tuesday this week. “At this time we have not been informed of plans to offer the Hellcat pro ported slide and barrel for individual sale.” Seems like they want you to purchase an entirely new gun if you already have the HCP… and want the comped version.
@@DragonToad7378 that’s sad because you know they going to sell it separately and come out with a FDE version later. They could’ve came out with the 17 round mag when the HCP dropped but waited.
Just go to your local gunsmith and get them ported (as images of the comp version). $150max and you won’t have to wait a year for the parts or spend $700 on a new one
I’m wondering how the new comp version compares to the Pro with threaded barrel and comp. Hope someone does a comparison to these two guns. I just got the threaded barrel and comp for my HCP and haven’t even shot it yet.
The ported HCP probably does shoot flatter with less felt recoil. When my wife was looking to upgrade her carry pistol, she looked at a handful of guns and wound up going with a Canik - she chose the TP9 subcompact because it was more comfortable and less snappy, but its still a snappy lil' gun even with the 15 round mags. The HCP grip, to me, is more ergonomic.

Lemme guess, you're a tactical tier 1 green beret ranger SEAL ninja who shoots better than everyone, certified armorer, gunsmith and SOT as well? Can't possibly fathom that people may have other preferences, or bring up non-Springfield guns.
@SasquatchTX don't attack me dude, you're the one who came to a springfield armory video asking about glocks. No, im not a navy seal tactical ninja, just someone with common sense.
@@frankcastle9691 😂 yeah you must be a kid then, because rational adults are capable of engaging in discussions about tangentially related topics, and without attacking people. Like you did with another poster an "maybe you're holding it wrong" - or here's a thought - maybe the Hellcat just isn't the gun for him? And maybe the person inquiring about SA selling individual components has a valid concern. Not that SA "doesn't want to become SIG" - no - they want you to buy entire guns, rather than components. That's OK though, because the secondary market will no doubt be flush with slides, barrels, springs, and other parts as they are for most other guns. And for my own comments RE Glocks - its related to the increasing popularity again of ported / compensated guns. But hey - keep going back and forth because engagement in comments is actually good for the channel when it comes to the algorythym.

Love my Hellcat pro! The comp version should be even better!

They do but I think the idea is they don't want to turn into sig.
They do but first they launch the full version. Now you can buy the RDP comp. I think in future you will be able to buy the Pro Comp complete slide.
Definitely one on my list for Ccw
I love this gun

Hope they plan on selling slides and just the barrel
Yeah At a discount also
That's what I'm saying bro
In a few more months after everyone buy these

Love my Hellcat Pro… just got mine a few days ago. Question, will you selling the comp barrel and slide for those that have just the hellcat pro?
I hope so! I just got my HC Pro a few weeks ago.
They usually wait about a year before selling those parts separately for upgrade.

Springfield saw what Floyd’s custom is doing and decided to try and undercut them. I love Springfield but they’re playing catch up.
i wanna see this against the canik mc9. if a gun 60% more expensive outperforms the canik for a CCW

I wonder when the C model Glocks will get popular again? Do they even make C-models in guns from gen 4 and beyond?
Wrong channel bro, go find a glock forum.

Never liked how this gun shoots. Maybe the comp version will feel different.
