I was one of those men. It is good to see people appreciate the risks we took when in service. US Presidential Citation and I'm a Canadian.
Back in the 90s I was in boot camp and we had a Canadian citizen of native Canadian heritage in our platoon. Dude was solid. The US Marines DGAF where you come from "as long as you pack the gear to serve our beloved Corps."
I ship tomorrow for Marines corp basic and found this vid on CZcams most people asked me why I joined was it for the benefits and the free college people don't understand it's the experience of being apart of something that will be with you for the rest of your life
I don't know if you are done with training and over there yet, you will be. You must know this. My son is a Combat Veteran of Iraq. I wish you God Speed, I pray for your family, especially your mother, it's not easy for us back home. In fact my memories kind of left a small PTSD, but my son, he lives with worse memories. God bless you soldier/Warrior. Do good.

usmc went back to va hosiptal 1976 spent year there was in there last five months while in service. go to va now. became a marine 1972. was a outpatient serval times. proud to have served. retired 1973. still retired. 1993.

Every adult male in my family is an ex soldier, a war veteran...some of them died or got hurt in war. I never met some of them because they were KIA. My uncle has PTSD from war. My grandpa died in war. A lot of them got badly hurt in war. I will fight for my country and through life, just like they did before me.
Everyone of those young men and women have BALLS of solid rocks. Respect.

The first are Marines on the battlefield, showing friendships with thier fellow Marines. The second is a Marine in dress uniform showing respect for those who gave thier lives. They are the same in different situations.

I was in in 1974-1978. One of the last Marines in Saigon. Moved on to be a PMI at Parris Island. This, for an 18 year old kid, is an adrenial rush. When you get to the rifle range- experts all. Have a great time, this is a family.

I'm a 13 year Marine corps veteran Persian Gulf desert Storm I had my birthday a couple of days after we started the war it made me what I am today whatever comes to me no matter how big or small I always conquer it because in the Marine corps were hot they never give up and to this day and I tell all my kids and all my brothers and sisters and I tell everybody that's on this channel you guys don't understand what it is to be a Marine there's good times and bad times and there's times where you don't think you're going to make it but I remember will one drone instructor said if you keep running away from your problems or quitting you'll never get anywhere you'll eventually hit a wall and become a victim but if you decide to face all your problems and solve them you'll become the victor of anything that comes to hurt you to everybody Marines army Air Force national guard Coast guard Navy and anything else thank you for your service
