I really love HK. They make quality firearms and I believe everyone should have at least one. I need to add a 45 to my inventory.
I owned one, I wouldnt recommend it. The recoil is pretty massive and the weight of the weapon is substantial. I dont think it was a step forward from a USP45 point of view.
Never had an HK pistol but from what I read many folks love them. The 45 ACP is no joke and has it's place.
There is a reason why the Navy Seals carried the HK45 Compact on the raid to kill Bin Laden. You are spot on with your comments on this firearm being the core of a good home defense plan. I have a Glock 21 in .45 as part of our home defense plan. My wife can simply pick it up and pull the trigger without worrying about a safety. Just like the HK .45 it works every time. Like my grandpa used to say there is nothing dumber than trusting your life or the lives of family members to a cheap gun. Nuf said.

My first firearm that i bought was a hk usp 9 compact . I’ve had the gun for 9 years and it has yet to fail me .
I have the HK P30 V1 LEM trigger system with the Grey Guns short reset kit. Amazing pistol.
My next buy will be the HK45 V7 LEM.

.... I love all of HK products 👍... The HK45 & HK45C are probably the best .45 pistols made today... Especially for the money, seeing they’ve come down quite considerably in price... They are ultra-reliable, and always go bang.. Excellent choice for a home defense!!.. I’ve carried my full size HK45 many times, and with the right holster it totally disappears and carries just as comfortable as the HK45C, or even the P30sk.. With a really good belt and holster it’s really comfortable and doesn’t feel like you’re dragging around a cannon,lol...

What a good strait up gun review. I have one (HK 45) on Layaway almost got her paid off. I have shot one before, and loved it. I wanted a 45acp hand gun again and I'm not a 1911 fan. And the others out there did not appeal or were cost prohibitive. Again, a great video sir.

I was trained with the H&K USP 9 and 45 when I use to work for the government as a duty weapon and loved them. Actually bought the USP 45 and ran that as my home defense weapon for several years, but sold it. When the new H&K 45 came out, I bought the same version you have. Went on to the VP9's and P30's with the 9's, but always go back to the 45's:)
Love the USP45 and the hk45. The latter is my bedside gun, just because of how dead on the gun can be and the caliber.
I traded my Sig P220 Special Configuration for a HK45, I don’t regret it one bit. Don’t get me wrong the Sig is a great gun but the HK in my hands is smoother to shoot than the P220. Plus the Sig is 8rnd pistol where as the HK is 10rnd.
I got an hk 45 a month ago It has a blacked out rear sight with a photo luminescent front that is green in color in the daylight it's been 100% so far it's my edc/truck gun and it's almost replaced my cz p09 for that duty but not quite yet I may be called a fudd but I liked the 45 even when I was a kid it just plain works

You will love them I have the full size hk 45 the 45c p30l and usp 40 all of them are outstanding weapons
The biggest problem with this gun is that you’re not going to find a holster to carry it

bro the Olight hate is just surefire fanboys. Thats it. They think spending an extra $200 more on the same light makes it better. Theres a gun youtuber, forgot name, the white guy in the desert with the orange beard, he said he had multiple surefires break on him an never broke an Olight. So its whatever, keep spending $350-400 on a damn flashlight yall. Ill spend $125 an get a better product with more features ( strobe setting ) etc.
A full size pistol mounted Olight tubs about $125 and you can find surefire X300s all day for $200. I personally use a Streamlight tlr1 for the same price as an Olight but much better. Olights don’t just explode like some claim, but they run way too hot and the light output is not consistent whatsoever and never has been.

I’m not buying any of their stuff.
Theres plenty of other companies that make great products and actually like their customers.
