Grow a Building Effect in AFTER EFFECTS | After Effects Tutorial 2023

- Learn the grow a building effect inAfter Effects. The building grow effect has been used in many travel videos I've seen recently. Benn TK has used it to grow the Eiffel Tower. We will first export an image from the video and cut it in Photoshop, after that we import the PSD file in After Effects and animate the building growing up.
In the final video I've also added digital zoom by just using scale.

Just one thing: at 6:20 you can use “ctrl+shift+J” this way you cut directly the selected part of the image.

Hi, thank you for your detailed tutorial^^ Can u please let me know how to put a mask next to the layer copy 1. Eventhough I press alt+mask icon. The mask didn't appear :
You can try Ctrl+Shift+J to separate the tower on a new layer. It’s actually a lot eaiser - you will skip the masking part.

Hey man, you can probably do some of it. You can do most of your work in Photoshop, cutting the objects and so on, import them as separate layers and animate them in Premiere. But after effects is better for this

You can animate the building parts, but you can’t track the video. Premiere is best just for editing and color

this is the still image, how about the moving image dude ? thx
It’s a moving video, this is why I created a mask around the building. Everything that is outside the mask is moving. Hope this helps. 🙂

It’s a moving video, this is why I create a mask around the building. Everything that is outside the mask is moving. Hope this helps. 🙂
@@RadTodoroff by moving video I meant, a video which is not shot on a tripod
@@aviralhlt You will have to 3D track the shot. But it won't work if you're walking around the building or changing the perspective of it in any way. It needs to be a simple move like a small dolly in.If you are going to chane the perspecitve of the building in anyway and want to achieve the same effect you will have to do it in 3D.
