Ah yes, one of the greatest dark side stories in all of Legends.
Not like Revan. However, my favorite Sith Lord, no, my favorite Star Wars character will always be Darth Vader.
I read this in the voice of the guy in the beginning of Morrowind, “Ah, yes. We’ve been expecting you…”
Kasim was the real mvp in helping start Bane's path to form the Rule of Two. He told him about all past Sith traditions, gave him private lessons despite the fact he wasn't suppose to get any, and after he gave Bane his special lightsaber, he told Bane about how he killed his own master in an honorable duel. His last act was to face his apprentice in an honorable duel to the death, where Bane proved the more savy Dark Lord despite Kasim's superior skill

I've been reading through the Bane trilogy this past month, and it's incredible. I can't recommend it enough.

Ah great to see the complete video, kudos on more excellent Star Wars EU videos! Bane and his order of the Sith Lords would reshape galactic history forever, and eventually rule the galaxy. Amazing how bane started from such humble beginnings to become such a significant figure in galactic history

I'm done with Star Wars for a bit, but when I come back to it Darth Krayt is one of the topics at the top of my list. :)

One point of note...at the end of the third Karpyshyn book, Set Harth is seen opening Darth Andeddu's holocron, preparing to learn the secrets of Force essence transfer.

It's like Bane was actually born to be a Sith Lord, but honestly I doubt the galaxy or Force saw it coming when he became the Sith'ari.
I reread the Bane trilogy this summer. Doing so reminded me why Path of Destruction is my favorite Star Wars book. With a close second to Plagueis and Thrawn.
My absolute favorite dark lord of the sith I can't help but read these once a year whenever I'm evil in a game I play bane
So if Bane was 46 during Dynasty of Evil, then at Rule of 2 he was 36, and by the end of Path of Destruction, was 26!!!

You want to know something interesting? Darth Bane was a Form V lightsaber practitioner while his apprentice, Darth Zannah, was a Form III lightsaber practitioner. Together, they were the most deadly duo in the history of The Sith. Years later, the most powerful Jedi duo was a Jedi Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi, who was a Form III lightsaber practitioner and his apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who was a Form V lightsaber practitioner. Fascinating, right?
For all the talk of "power" and "ambition" as the advantage of the Rule of Two, Darth Sidious, the most powerful Sith to ever exist lost to one light side user in Mace Windu in a one on one saber duel. To me this indicates that the idea of only having two Sith to hog the power of the dark side is folly. Sith Lord Skere Kaan was right but was outmaneuvered by someone who believed more in tradition and greed rather than logic and reason.

So heres what i don't understand the clone wars show is cannon and Bane is in the clone wars show and mentioned in star wars as a whole, So how is Darth Bane considered legends if he is in current cannon?
The character Bane was made canon, but the original trilogy of books that tell his full story are no longer canon, they are Legends. So the character is canon but the details of his life are Legends.
@@CivilizationEx I guess that makes since even though that seems kind of stupid to me. In my opinion it doesn't make since to keep the character if the trilogy of books is about the character isn't cannon.

The Sith really need a better management system, master trains apprentice, apprentice kills master, apprentice becomes master, master trains apprentice, apprentice kills master, apprentice becomes master, master trains apprentice, apprentice kills master, apprentice becomes master, master trains apprentice, apprentice kills master, apprentice becomes master... and repeat.
I have bad management systems, but this one takes the cake. 🙄
If Disney had any brain cells they would take Bane's story and make it into a miniseries.
Copezsh was a sith master there were no dark jedi there was sith initiates masters dark lords , marauder assassin and spies , if copezsh is dark jedi , so is githany seerax , foharg and even bane
Personally, if I was vain, I would let the brotherhood of darkness run their course and fall, but I would still make sure that they were not completely gone from the picture because the brotherhood of darkness was essentially the Jedi order put up the Darkside, and if the Jedi kept their focus on the brotherhood, they wouldn’t be focusing on retrieving, Darkside artifacts, like Hala crayons, and other such things which would give a rogue, powerful Sith raid opportunities
So I just finished listening to the second Bane novel on audible and I have to say. Darovid is the most infuriating character I have encountered in a long while. Painfully naive, blindly self-righteous and just obnoxious. Ugh I couldn't stand him.
