me 2. i feel exactly the same way and i dont even play basketball, all ive been watching and reading lately is about Kobe. This was a great doco which should be redone and updated i hope. I think the impact is partly because of the tragic circustances of his passing. With so much career joy and success that was televised, we expected a much happier ending. Watch one of his last interviews with Patrick Bet David on Valuetainment from Oct 2019. Wise, humble and motivating. He had so much more love and inspiration to give, to his family and the rest of the sporting world. Simply devastating...definetly a legend. R.I.P Japanese Meat

After God gave him his dream of success in basketball, Kobe changed lanes and went about his own way, doing Kobe instead of doing what God purposed him to do. God doesn't need him now, he needed him when he was here. If Kobe would have done what God purposed him to do throughout the years while playing for the NBA and ongoing. I really have to agree with you about this tragedy. I too am floored over Kobe's unbelievable death. Sometimes the heart can detect what the eyes and mind may not. By that, I mean something terrible has happened here and your post has made me confess that openly. I feel what you have expressed, and therefore I shall never turn a child of mine over to ANY ravenous wolves such as those types in entertainment/sports/fashion/music. Ever. I hope you do not either. Of my ball club and I had messed up in practice the day before our rival game and the coach told me I wouldnt be starting.. long story short I didnt play the whole 1st quarter we was down 18-2 yes 18-2 I told coach to put me in the game and I would make sure we won.. while sitting on the bench i was instantly seeing the end with us winning, I went in with about 2 min left in the first half we was down 25-5 I only had 3 points...at the end of the half.. in the locker room I asked coach If I could speak.. I told all the players we wasnt gonna loose.. we would win. 2nd half I scored 35 points finishing with 38 points 10 steals 9 assist 19 rebounds and was 9-9 from the free throw line.. we won the game 53 - 34.. after that people called me white momba, the whole time I got to play I was actually pretending I was kobe I missed 2 shots the whole game... I was running point , guard and post throu-out, the crazy thing is when I was in the paper I only had 15 min of playing time 2 min in 1st half , and 12 in second with 6 min quarters...

It would probably be just as big a hit as "Michael Jordan to the Max" in IMAX was, if not way bigger. I saw that movie in IMAX and it was really impressive seeing the NBA Finals footage against the Jazz on such a large screen with all the game sounds pumped up a billion decibels for cinematic effect. I bet a Kobe IMAX movie would be just as, if not more, captivating! =)

Kobe had an arsenal like no other. Fiercely competitive on defense, and didn't think about anything else in life but basketball. No excuses either. If he had one flaw, I would say he was too overconfident in his ability sometimes, which hurt the team game and forcing tougher shots does = lower % which is the only thing Lebron has on Kobe. But that psychological edge and fear he put in opponents is something way too underrated. Its like he snatch the other teams confidence some games which I don't remember anyone doing since AI and Jordan.
Stephen Marbury said it best, "It's a hard pill to swallow. He's gonna give me the business on one end, then lock me down on D Who does that?"
