easyJet's Shortest Flight? | Liverpool to Isle of Man | Full Flight (Boarding, Takeoff, Landing)

- I recently took one of easyJet's shortest flights, from Liverpool Airport to Ronaldsway Airport in the Isle of Man. This flight took less than 25 minutes and can take as little as 20. Watch my flight from arriving at the airport, to the Aspire Lounge at Liverpool, boarding, takeoff, cruise, descent and landing in the Isle of Man.
THEY NEED TO GET Blackpool airport open again, plus bring back the fleetwood i.o.m. ferry during the summer, thousands of visitors missing out
I enjoyed that thank you from down under Sydney Australia
Great photography - well done as it is not easy in those circumstances. You got a good seat, clearly.
The approach to runway 08 IOM is definitely the most scenic approach. over the Calf and Castletown. I use this service regularly, when booking if you choose the very front seats on the left adjacent to the front door you get complimentary Speedy Boarding - so you are on and off first, at no extra cost.
I used to be Cabin Crew for Monarch. Was lucky enoughh to be Iin the fight deck when they positioned the DC-10 from Manchester to Liverpool!
That was one busy fight deck!
Yoo love your content
Pilot nailed it right on the touch down pads, gets a gold star for that effort.
Also great audio - quite fun to hear all the Liverpudlian in the background!
Very good
This is great and am wanting to use on a vr headset to help with my anxiety. Be good to show the first person view inside the plane too bc as though looking around please. 🙏🏻
The new Steam Packet vessel is called Manxman not Manx. Really enjoyed the video. Been going to the Island since 1957 but never flown. Might just try it next time.
They could use old DC 3’s for the short flight from Liverpool to the IOM . Using an Airbus is well over the top , the aircraft will be descending to land as soon as it’s finished climbing .
British Island Airways used to fly The Dart Herald from Blackpool[Squires Gate] Airport in the 70's. As a Child we got free seats as my Father was Senior Technical Instructor at BIA.
My dad was telling me about when he flew from Blackpool to IoM. He said the stewardesses brought coffee round. You wouldn't think they had the time to boil the water.
@@DA-dw5zn yes buy Dart Heralds were used not 787's or whatever used these days

Nice, wish we could fly to IOM from Leeds 😔
i took the same route and we were in the air for around 14 to 16 minutes
The Easyjet service from IOM to Belfast is even shorter ;)
Quite 🐱
I was going to say the same.
Recently did the Seacat from Liverpool to Douglas. Probably matches flying time when you add in the dwell time at the airport.
Agreed! I did that on my return journey so I could experience both, and it was probably a similar amount of time. Especially since it goes town centre-city centre!
@@RoxfuTravelWhat make and model of camera did you use to record this video.
Cool vlog cruise must have been like 1min if that so maybe easyJet need to invest in one or two ATR planes to make them more efficient but cool vlog non the less 😊
I did time the flight and noticed we began our descent 7.5 minutes after takeoff!
What was the registration of this aircraft?
The last time I flew out of Liverpool, the airport was called Speke Airport! Lol, long time ago!
Jimcrawford -this business if naming airports after individuals will.lesd to confusion in the figure .In 50 years few will know who John Lennon was but Liverpool will still be Liverpool .Why no simply .call major airports after their location 'Manchester Birmingham Liverpool etc .And instead of Gatwick Heathrow or Stansted .call them London South, London Central and London North .That makes far more sense to overseas visitors as it gives them real information about geographical location .
That one is closed down, and this new one of John Lennon took its place.
@@ronnieince4568 Correct and some of the people that airports are named after were nasty pieces of work, like the traitor de Gaulle
Very nice
I agree, they should be named after the city or numbered or something if more than one.
Excellent video, did you find it easy to get public transport or bus etc to your onward destination if applicable?
I actually walked into the nearest town, Castletown. It only took around 20 minutes with paths the whole way. From there I took the train to Douglas.
qqqqqqqqqq☺
oooooooo🥿
What make and model of camera did you use to record this video.
It's a DJI Pocket 2
@@RoxfuTravel impressive Colour rendition, reminds me of iPhone Colour Qaulity.
Climbing up stairs? A bit rustic?
Note Full Flap not used due to High Wind Component , good landing.
15:23 *Flaps 30° looks like - Been to the IOMan many times and flown there in a Cessna 180 twice, would have been 3 but fog at L'Pool had to turn back. !*
@@GrrMeister Looks like 15 Flap to me. Cessna 180's fly differently. Flaps always look more deployed than they actually are due Dihedral and Curvature of Wing on this particular type of Aircraft.
I've experienced 777 landings in the caribbean with take off flap. This may be a fuel saving measure, but boy does it make for a heavy landing !
@@doveronefoxtrot4417 Depends on Crosswind Component and TORA at Airport Sir.
Is Graham Norton narrating the safety video?
You were lucky it went.
I hate them.
Why, do they cancel a lot? Thinking of going this route but might not lol
Slightest chance they get. Wind, rain, snow .. no staff, ATC restrictions .. they'll just leave you there and won't give a hoot. They cannot keep to their schedules due to unrealistic turn-round times. If the plane you are due to be on has a better paying slot later that day, the IOM leg gets dropped at the drop of a hat to make the time up.@@MizzOMA
Did the seat belt signs even go off?
Don't think they did!
Aldergrove to Ronaldsway on Easyjet is even shorter!
It is! Need to tick that one off the list
Only 40 mins or so
@ANDCFC95 13mins according to flight plan
The new ship is called Manxman, not Manx.
A typo! Apologies!
hello! do you know what row on the aircraft was this
It was row 22!
How much.
About £30
Ive never flown out of Liverpool, always Manchester
Try Liverpool Carol. It's a much better experience. Fast track is much cheaper and the security are much politer. I've done both and will choose Liverpool any time over MAN
Lol 50 second flight in Scotland papa west ray
Very true, definitely on my list of flights I want to do!
I’m curious How much did it cost
About £25
Not that bad
@@RoxfuTravelis that one way.
@@stevenhird1837 Yeah one way. I took the ferry back.
@@RoxfuTravel I did not know that Liverpool did flights out to this destination. Always took it that the pier head was the only way, ferry
One of the worst seats to get on a flight, even if it is a shorter flight than regular it would still wind me up!
20 minutes? Flights like this shouldn't even exist.
*Takes ages by Boat !*
OK Greta Thunberg
It is quite difficult to get there from certain UK cities to be fair, and electric planes will take over this route pretty quickly once they are mainstream
A lot drier than swimming 😉👍🇮🇲
