Fun fact: A lot of people know this but the people who don’t, he was actually once the worlds strongest man in the world. And it’s no gimmick. He was the first man to win ‘The Arnold Strongman’ competition, which is one of the biggest events for strongman. He also competed in powerlifting, and Olympic weightlifting which he did ridiculously good on. He was also the first person who with one hand, clean and pressed the ‘Thomas Inch Dumbbell’, which is a dumbbell with a 2.5 inch thick handle and weighs 170lb altogether.
Mark Henry is also one of the few tested powerlifters who deadlifted 900 pounds. During Mark Henry’s early powerlifting career, in his freshmen year he was already able to squat 600 pounds, which was well over his high school record. At 18 years old, he was named the “Worlds Strongest Teenager” by Los Angeles times. His powerlifting remarks were incredible, squatting and deadlifting 900 pounds plus in a meet. Some sources claim that he has squatted 1,006 pounds in his gym, and also did a 600 pound bench press.

From like 2005-2008 Mark Henry was always so consistent and one of the best heels on Smackdown. I’m glad he finally got his world title run in 2011.
He explains why it took so long for him to become WWE Champion after he retired: He didn't think he could control his anger and was afraid he would legit hurt someone. Vince McMahon challenged him on that and it ultimately led to his title run in 2011.
Listen to Stone Cold's Podcast interview with Paul White (The Big Show) in which he basically said "Piss off Mark Henry at your own peril". Even though he's retired, he still works out to stay loose.

He could've been a World Title contender back in early Ruthless Aggression era against Evolution, where WWE should promote Mark Henry's as a strongman with his Some Bodies theme song played, then make his debut a big one where he would first face three jobbers on a 1-3 handicap match and win.
After that he should be booked on facing non Jobber tag teams alone against the likes of Basham Brothers, NWO, Mexicools, Un-Americans, Team Angle, and MNM to cement his gimmick as the "World Strongest Man". Up to that point, he should now be booked as Evolution's biggest threat and ofc, Triple H's contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. Either make Mark Henry vs Triple H official or have Mark Henry vs the entire Evolution in 1-vs-4 match just for the Heavyweight title ifself. After Mark Henry wins, this will be the point where his "Hall of Pain" gimmick starts, where if the 1-vs-4 happened, he would dismantle and damage the Evolution members one by one on the aftermath as a way for Henry to "induct" them.
Afterwards as the champ, they can either book him like today's Gunther or Roman Reigns without any interferences. Have him win Elimination Chamber, Royal Rumble, and 6-Pack matches by himself and all of that and WWE has now built the most terrifying Heel they've book from a legit Strongman. Probably the only guy who would've finished his "Hall of Pain" at that time would be Perc Angle.

The coolest music for the World's Strongest Man...He was the most underrated wrestler in WWE. He deserved more World Championships than other wrestlers. He comes from humble beginnings and he himself is very humble and respectful. I regret the fact that I realised this very late as I was not aware of his background until he was inducted into Hall of Fame. But the feats of strength he has displayed is enough to determine that he should have got more shots for Title championships. I respect him.. Gem of a person...Kind and respectful..
