I appreciate that you don’t swear and cuss. This is information that my kids need to see, hear and learn. So many channels of these type have great info, but I can’t let my kids watch the channel or videos because of the cursing. We enjoy watching your videos and learning as a family. The kids are able to ask questions and enjoy learning from you. Keep up the good work. This household appreciates you, the information as well as your service to the USA.
I agree that he doesn’t swear or cuss much, in fact this is the first video I’ve heard him say something “bash the crap out of some wood” very mild, except for the duel meaning of “bashing some wood”
"Mag pouch is empty, that was it" that was a lot of items.. Andrew, I learn something new or something I've forgotten in every one of your videos..great job.
Very practical and comprehensive kit. I also carry a magnet with my kit. Not just for direction but also to find needles or hooks I drop on the ground. Well done
Very compact. Good redundancy on fire. My wife always says "Got enough ways to make fire"?. I say no. I also always carry a little salt and pepper in my kit.
Great information. I think your saying "you survive with what's in your pockets" so hopefully people will actually have the kit on them and know how to use it. Anyway thanks again.
Ingenuity at its greatest. I was in the Navy for ten years and have been in the Army for eleven but have never seen this. I almost always have two empty mag pouches, on my IBV. Great way to make use of one of them so it isn't wasted space.
Well done! I have both a small kit (portable) and a messenger bag kit. I have a separate small (portable) trauma kit and usually wear a 550 cord necklace with a small neck knife, button light, whistle, a tiny fero-rod and dog tag reflector. Yet, I learn a little something each time I watch your channel.
You're really cranking out the high quality videos! Super entertaining and educational! Looks like a lot of the same gear as the coffee can survival kit but in a more compact and molle attachable package. I like it! Hey, how about a gun shot/trauma kit in a dump pouch? Do some more medical videos! Thanks again! I can't believe this high quality content is free!
Hi Andrew☺, nice assortment of gear in that pouch, would a slim metal cup or container to boil in squeeze in there? Then some of the kit fit down inside it, that way you'd have something to make a hot drink in, or cook a small meal, when the chips are down its a great moral booster. Keep em coming, there always interesting, thanks for the video, stay safe mate, best wishe's to you and your's, Stuart.uk.
I am not sure if a small metal container would fit inside that pouch. It would have to be the same dimension as the pouch, however, an alternative would be to carry a piece of heavy aluminum foil folded down to fit the size of the arm pouch, which can be fashioned into a container for cooking purposes. Hope this will be helpful to you! .
Mine are in the old ALICE pouch but I made them before I had Whirl-Paks, so you reminded me to tuck some inside. If the signal panel is put near the top it would allow the contents to be spread out upon it to keep everything clean and together. One of mine is on a drop leg panel with the SRK attached to said panel. Rothco also made black pouches if a person doesn't want to use the military OD. I tend to carry multi-tools on my belt so I'd use the space/weight for other gear.
I'm keeping my woodland pouches but the kids said they'd be okay with a small kit for their vehicles and now I have an idea for some of the OD ones. Woodland was the best military camo of all time in my personal opinion
Great idea for a grab and go kit. In times of uncertainty, your vids provide great knowledge for anyone who doesnt want to get caught with their pants down in an emergency.
I Love Your Dry Humor Delivery Always Gets Me Man.. Awesome Content. Looking Into Bushcrafting As A New Hobby. I'm Glad You Were In My Recommended Vids.. Salutes
This is a perfect back up kit, throw on your belt as soon as you run into a survival situation, hike, etc. Then if for whatever reason you lose access to your primary gear, you still have something to fall back on to last a short while until you can recover/regroup, or rescue can be sought.
Great video and great kit! It is a more realistic kit than the ones people put together that use an entire ruck sack to fit and carry. I have mine in an older 3 mag pouch that is almost the same, I just have to get a couple of the water bags, thanks for the idea. I also have a newer 6 mag pouch that has all the same stuff but instead of the stuff going in the pouch, it goes into a MSR Seagull pot (not sure of the size but it is the middle one of the 3 sizes) and this gives me a way to cook and boil water.
Old BDU pattern 2 magazine MOLLE pouch? That’s not old...old is using a ALICE LC-2 30 round magazine pouch!!! I did something similar, bought a “personal use” ALICE magazine pouch from the local surplus store, cut out the magazine dividers and cut off the grenade pouches. Made a nice utility/SERE pouch on LC-2 gear... and it didn’t draw much attention from the CSM since it looked the same, avoiding “which one of these pouches in not like the others”, lol... awesome block of instruction today Andrew! I really like the emergency magnet compass idea too! Oh, thanks for the tip on LT Wright, got my GNS Scandi a few weeks back, love it! Keep up the fire!
Bravo! As in 11 BRAVO….as in this old (57 years old) 11 Bravo is very impressed. I intend to make one myself…using the old rigid ammo pouches from my days. Keep up the great work! I just subscribed!
thank u so much for ur channel, love it. i like the idea of the small compact combo survival mag pouch, dont need alot of bags or stuff. happy 2023, please keep going with ur channel, alot of us love it and your info is legit
Wasn't paying attention in class back a time/ LOL , Never thought of using mag pouch as small survival bag. Used waist pack, deployment bag, or similar duffle for essentials. This is a 👍's up. Thanks Andrew.
YOU TOOK THE CHALLENGE BROTHER. YOU DID VERY WELL.& WELL THOUGHT OUT. THE MAGNETS ARE A NICE TOUCH. GREAT JOB BROTHER. RANGER UP BROTHER. THANK YOU 4 EXCEPTING THE CHALLENGE.
Love the kit, I have found you can slide in a small bread pan which will then give you a way to boil water and it does not take up any more room as most of the small items nest inside it.
Great kit just about the right size not to big that you land up put in it in your pack but can keep it on your belt where you mite need it. Great vid many thanks
Nice one. In the process of working on one myself as a good throw kit for the vehicle. I had seen another guy put a lot of his items down inside a mini loaf pan and push that pan down inside his pouch. Said he could boil water in it or eat out of it. I thought it was a good tip, the Container "C". I like the fishing/sewing kits. Going to incorporate that into mine. Thanks, Andrew!!! Wish you the best.
Yeah I like the idea of holding your fish hooks and weights on the folded tape can you tape it to the back of your survival knife sheath with your sewing needle great idea for carrying stuff you don't lose it
I like the tape kits, you could have them hidden and sewn into clothing. I got some of the green mylar blankets. I used one at a car crash on Friday to treat someone in shock. Was in my shoulder pocket, good to go
Magnetize the needle. Take a fridge magnet and stroke the needle from tail to point 20 x. Set the needle on a leaf and float in water to confirm the point of needle point North. Extra compass. No extra weight or volume
Thank you for this video. I've watched many similar videos over the years but this one taught me a couple things. I didn't know paracord came in a smaller size, nice to know there's less bulky options other than 550. Also didn't know about Whirl Pak's for water, again less bulky and lighter weight option for treating and carrying water.
Thanks Andrew, it's great to see all these well thought out kits in one place with examples on how to put it together. I really like the sewing and fishing kits. They look similar, were they also made from 100 mile an hr tape or some other materials? Thanks again!
Great recommendations for an quick, portable survival kit, thanks Andrew. Have you considered putting in a small, battery powered green laser pen? These have incredible visibility and can be used for pinpoint acrruracy signaling needs.
Great grab and go survival kit. I always like to see what items people put in their kits. I like small kits like this cause they can be worn on a belt on place in a cargo pocket. Alan R
I have one of these laying around in coyote brown ...I will have to make a kit like this with it . I live off the grid away from every thing and in the mountains and woods , Im always hiking and climbing , riding my dirt bike out here... And you can't have enough emergency gear .
Great vid man. I’d like to see some good fanny pack/butt pack survival kit vids from creators like yourself. Great sized bags to grab n go for a quick hike if you’re camping and aren’t expecting to need a day pack
Outstanding kit! I have the same pouch made into a kit that pairs with my TOPS Armageddon knife. Very similar items. Only a few different things. My only water item is an nDur water filter straw, but your video makes me think I could fit one of those bags with water tablets in there too. Gonna have to do it now 😎
I have an old Alice magazine pouch that I use. I have a small bread tin that snuggly fits in side. The kit items fit inside the tin. I’ve used the tin to boil water and cook.
BDU Style means old?! Whoa whoa whoa! Listen here ya young whipper snapper thems is fightin words! Woodland BDU best camo. That said another great video! Keep on keepin on!

You should check out MC Bushcraft as well.
Amen to that!!
I agree that he doesn’t swear or cuss much, in fact this is the first video I’ve heard him say something “bash the crap out of some wood” very mild, except for the duel meaning of “bashing some wood”
I like the fact he doesn't drink alcohol

Thanks for the info. I prefer your videos over the Corporal's corner videos.
An excellent and realistic survival kit.
I like your down to earth, no-nonsense approach to this often over-hyped subject.
Thanks for sharing Andrew. Puts a person in the mind set to think and prepare a small comprehensive emergency survival kit
Great kit. One of the best survival channels on CZcams. Do you offer hands on classes? I think you would be an outstanding instructor
"Mag pouch is empty, that was it" that was a lot of items..
Andrew, I learn something new or something I've forgotten in every one of your videos..great job.

Neat mini-kit, Brother! Not sure I like how you combined BDU and old in the same sentence hahaha.
Wow, an ammo pouch that's apparently bigger on the inside than the outside! How else did all that fit? Incredible!
It was made by the same designer of Snoopy's doghouse. That's Snoopy's pilot survival kit. 😆
It's called the Tartarus😂
Smile when you say bdu ammo pouch old made my day with just that thank you sir

Me and my son watch you thumbs up every channel thank you have a good day
Thats gotta b the tardis of ammo kits..please keep them coming..i learn so much from your vids..Thank you..

Yeah! ESEE 4! Best damn knife hands down!
Always fun to watch, sir!👍🏼🖖🏼
Cool idea. Lots of good info. Like the improvised compass too. Thx.
Hi Andrew. Short, sharp and to the point! Thank you for sharing. ATB. Nigel

I was thinking the same thing. However, that's a 2 mag ammo pouch so I would use a 4 mag ammo pouch. I hope that I was helpful.
I like your videos. I'm learning some things I haven't seen before.

Thank you for your time and instruction sir. I can’t express my gratitude for the list of supplies
Good kit. I have been experimenting with a survival kit that can move between my packs. Day hike vs. multiple day trip pack, etc.
Lots of details without excessive talking. I'm loving your videos, Andrew. Keep up the great work!
Great kit Andrew!! And one major benefit of it is that you can put it on your belt for easier carry when you're on the move.
Nice kit I have and use several esee knives there my go to survival knives
That’s badass. Thank you
I like the 2 magnet trick.
This is a perfect back up kit, throw on your belt as soon as you run into a survival situation, hike, etc. Then if for whatever reason you lose access to your primary gear, you still have something to fall back on to last a short while until you can recover/regroup, or rescue can be sought.
I like the ducktape fishing and sowing kits. I'll remember that for sure. Thanks
Excellent advice and ideas 💡 thank you very much
Always good stuff presented like it was in the army.
It's refreshing to see a real pro with no bs just geat content. There are so many people on youtube that talk the talk but don't walk the walk. Thanks
Andrew, great video and info!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really liked this video as always don't be afraid to taler it to your specific needs
Great idea compact and can take it anywhere
Outstanding! Thanks for the info on pouch kit
Hello my Outdoors friend, thank you for sharing another 'need to.know' survival video. Take care out there.

Nice! I’m picking up some double mag Ammo pouch’s. I bet they will be cheaper than most storage containers/satchels.
That whistle demo needs to be your new intro.
thank u so much for ur channel, love it. i like the idea of the small compact combo survival mag pouch, dont need alot of bags or stuff. happy 2023, please keep going with ur channel, alot of us love it and your info is legit

Great kit just about the right size not to big that you land up put in it in your pack but can keep it on your belt where you mite need it. Great vid many thanks
Another great video Andrew.
I like your 100 mph tape sashes for sure. A secure way to hold “stuff” in a compact way.
Nice one. In the process of working on one myself as a good throw kit for the vehicle. Yeah I like the idea of holding your fish hooks and weights on the folded tape can you tape it to the back of your survival knife sheath with your sewing needle great idea for carrying stuff you don't lose it
Very cool Andrew 🤠
Excellent kit
I like the tape kits, you could have them hidden and sewn into clothing. I got some of the green mylar blankets. I used one at a car crash on Friday to treat someone in shock. Was in my shoulder pocket, good to go

That’s amazing how much gear you can fit into that pouch.
Very interesting video.
Did not know an ammo pouch could hold so much.
Ace show mate.

Great grab and go survival kit. I always like to see what items people put in their kits. I like small kits like this cause they can be worn on a belt on place in a cargo pocket. Alan R
Very viable survival kit! Just missing some super glue for cuts but I guess the tape can help! Thanks for sharing!
Great video and kit
I can easily say that was a great and enjoyable video to watch keep doing what you're doing man you're awesome.
Pretty complete little kit. Certainly get the job done when coupled with the knowledge of how to use each and every piece
Impressive! Another great video!
this is a great small lightweight GTFO kit, i will be acquiring ammo pouches to build into versions of this. thanks for the info!
Good stuff! That pouch holds a deceptively large amount of kit.
I have one of these laying around in coyote brown ...I will have to make a kit like this with it . I live off the grid away from every thing and in the mountains and woods , Im always hiking and climbing , riding my dirt bike out here... And you can't have enough emergency gear .
your vidéos are always super cool, military all the way.
Solid video. Great content for the community. Excellent period of instruction

SAME HERE SGT. THE OLD M16 AMMO POUCH. ALL FITS RIGHT INSIDE.BROTHER I HAVE MULTI ONES
Outstanding video, as always !!!
Very nice kit! Will start putting one together today. Thanks.
Thanks for the name drop, Bro!
I like this, and I think I’m going to create one. Thanks for the inspiration
Nice well done
