This is a feature of Aileen Quinn talking about her Hollywood experience playing Annie in the 1982 Hollywood film. she sang such famous songs as "Maybe" and Tomorrow" and of course "it's a hard knock Life"
She was the cutest Annie...very sweet and genuine.
I forgot how many times I watched this film when I was a kid. Iv seen so many versions of this film and no one will ever beat Aileen Quinn as Annie! What a superstar she is
Best Annie ever.
Honestly, I prefer the Wonderful World of Disney's version. But, that's probably because I fell in love with it before I saw this version.
We have the same last name 😁🥰
Agree, her face and her acting made her the perfect Annie.
Ehhhh she’s not Andrea Mcardle
@@kaylalezabeth7175 Same here
Aileen Quinn is an absolute class act. Hollywood needs more stars like her. Love her and this movie.
literally after she said
“Albert Finney is a really good actor and a very nice man just look into his eyes and you’ll know exactly how to say your lines.”,
i almost cried what a good mom :’)
What a sweetheart she is!! Just a total sweetheart- even as a grown woman. There is something very wholesome and classy about her adult self. She reminds me of Shirley Temple, when Shirley grew up. I am smitten! And impressed.
40 years now, Aileen. And still a classic. I can't stand most musicals but the 1982 movie is truly a classic.
This movie will always be a classic.. I hope that future generations will get to see this beautiful work of Annie
It's so sad that Albert Finney has passed on but it's inevitable.. He was such a great actor.
There’s an NBC production coming in December
Rest in peace Albert Finney you will be missed
My favorite movie as a kid. I was 4 when it was filmed but I watched it for a long time.
Also, RIP Ann Reinking ... She wasn't mentioned but I loved her character. 💔
Ann Reinking was also a class act, she was SUCH an amazing dancer.
I’m 18 and I remember watching the 1982 Annie whenever I visited my grandma’s. It was the highlight of my childhood!
Dear Aileen, you have no idea how much "Annie" moved me back in '82! Even now at 50 "Maybe" and Carol Burnett are lenses I view the world through. Many thanks!
❤️ 💙 💜 💖 💗 💘 ❤️ 💙 💜 💖 💗 💘 ❤️ 💙 💜 💖 💗 💘 ❤️ 💙 💜
My 3 year old has been watching Annie since she was 2. Recently we found a DVD copy to play in the car and she watches this over and over in the car. We love singing the songs and makes the car ride fun ❤❤❤
Aileen quinn : when i first met carol burnett she was so friendly and easy to talk to. lol
me: yeah until the camera started rolling then she wasn't
You knew her?
No that’s what it said and now the videos silly OK
@@kaylalezabeth7175 They meant she was nice as herself but when the cameras rolled, she went into character.
@@BeeKee404 oh lol
My favorite Annie, my favorite Ms. Hannigan, and my favorite version of Annie period! ❤️
Annie was My favorite Movie since I was seven years old and I used to be Annie fan because I used to have annie doll house, movie storybook, movie soundtrack, movie, Magazine I'm Be Annie for Holloween this year
Best Annie movie hands down I will always have a special place also for this movie in my heart I grew up watching it my kids saw it for the first time this year and my wife saw it for the first time this year I love it it's that simple..
Now that’s talent, that was a great story Aileen!
I remember watching this when I was very very small, and dreaming of being Annie. I’d run around my room acting it out. Now I’m 17, and sitting my A-Level in Drama to pursue my dream of being a musical theatre actress. When everyone told me I shouldn’t do it, thank you Aileen, for helping me believe in myself.❤️❤️
Im crying here..... Aileen and this film were a huge part of my life and changed its course. Thank you Aileen.
You were amazing in Annie. It’s one of my favourite movies.
She was the cutest Annie
I loved this movie as a kid! And I still believe it has one of the best soundtracks of all time.
who else got chills from the intro🥲\/
She is the most authentic, convincing as the character of Annie. I loved her.
I was obsessed with Annie when I was 4. I saw the movie and it opened a world for me. I even nicknamed my newborn sister Molly…. And it stuck.
Because of Annie, I started singing, dancing, and acting. I did all three for 20+ years of my life.
I love, love, LOVE this movie! I was 6 when it came out and eventually, my Mom got so *tired* of only listening to "Annie" that she hid it! I found it about a year later and was so confused...as a 45 yr old, I understand, Annie every day, and I mean every day or time we got in the car, must have been exhausting after a while! This movie still has such a special place in my heart! I'm thankful for this movie!
My mom watched this w me the year she died I loved Annie mom actually cried when Annie cried
Maybe is my favorite too !! 1982 Annie is my childhood!
She was the absolute best Annie.💕
I love Annie ❤️ think I'm going to watch it today
Maybe was always my favorite too. I was 8 years old when this came out. It was favorite show for all time.
I loved seeing you and how adorable you still are !! My daughter and I so enjoyed Annie . You and the entire cast were incredible !! I was heart broken when Daddy Warbucks passed away . I even paid a friend of mine to make my daughter (who is now 46 ) the bloomer outfit you wore from an Annie pattern . It was so cute on her . Thank you so !! 🚁 💰 🛍 📨
Maybe was my favorite song too, and I was probably one of your biggest fans! I saw the movie so many times, and owned two dresses, the wig, books, tons of Annie toys, and even the Aileen Quin album. I enlisted neighbor kids to play parts in the play I was making (I had the play book too). Annie was the sweetest movie, and you were the reason. They were so lucky to find the perfect Annie. Thanks for the joy you brought to my childhood!
I do have her own wig to and I her own movie too and I got her dress it is red
And now it’s been 40 years!
such a good actor! She truly was 1 in a billion!
RIP Amanda Petersen, so beautiful as one of the orphans and that voice
Which one was she?
@@manuelorozco7760 I think she was the girl with the line to sing Rover, when they were naming Sandy.
@@KimmiGirl9 Oh
@@manuelorozco7760 I'm rewatching the movie now. I had to google what she looked like and I figured it out that way.
@@KimmiGirl9 Okay
Aileen Quinn is so every beautiful character playing by annie Aileen Quinn is so nice I willy loved this movie about annie
Pretty awesome you got to play Annie on Broadway and the movie. It was one of the best versions.
I still love this movie
I'm just going to say the Annie movie from 1982 will never compare to the others because its obviously the best out of all of them
I prefer 1999 and 2014
@@manuelorozco7760 why I understand 1999 but not 2014
@@ritaisexisting1962 Huh
agreed
@@manuelorozco7760 black annie 👎
My Aunt used to own the 20th anniversary DVD. And I never saw the complete featurette until now. Aileen looks more beautiful as an adult.
Aileen Quinn , Ashley Johnson Alicia Morton & Quvenzhane Wallis as Annie forever never forget.
R I P Albert Finney we will miss u
Loved everything minute of Annie! So did my little girls. We knew all the songs by heart. The girls acted out every scene. The bridge scene was especially dramatic. Wonderful cast!!! Dancing excellent!!! Enjoyed remembering.
Okay, this has me bawling...
Love this movie.
Aileen Quinn was just wonderful as Annie.
No she is really bad role as Annie I sure do not want her in my own musical so please make her quit so make her leave
Loved the 1977 play and the 1982 version of Annie !
I haven’t been overdue to see the original stage version since I finished high school.
I used to watch this a lot as a kid. I literally watched it the other day for the first time in over 20 years and half the film I had completely forgotten. Almost everything up until Annie meets Mr. Warbucks (and the song 'I think I'm gonna like it here") and then finale came flooding back. 😁 Still enjoyed it though.
The soundtrack of my childhood!
Aileen you are still wonderful and beautiful. You were the best ever Annie!
maybe was my favorite as well but as of lately it’s been the finale song got me in a choke hold
I was only 7 when I saw this. First movie in the theater. I just fell in LOVE with Annie. She wasn’t afraid of anything. She rescued the dog, she took care of little Molly.
Aileen is truly a gifted actress.
My favorite song is also Maybe. ❤
Went to see this movie as a kid back in 82'. The song, Tomorrow, will ALWAYS be dear to me. Looking for Mr. Geoffrey Holder led me to this video, I love him and miss his grand presence. ❤️
Movie going has changed drastically, yet I treasure those moments of when movies were worth seeing in the theater and popcorn 🍿 and soda weren't $10 bucks a pop.😏
Yes, the Sun will come out tomorrow, and that's one of the beauties of Life. And.....the dialog in that "locket scene" still provokes a lot of emotion in me. 😢
#BrilliantActing #LaughterAndTearsForever
Maybe was my favorite too. I cry so much.
I was born in 1980 and my parents showed me this AMAZING 😍🤩 film at just 4 years old. I'm 42 now and I have probably watched Annie over 300 times ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💯💯💯💯💯❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ as a kid, I adored it and as an adult I really appreciate the entire stellar cast, cinematography, the beautiful musical score, and well, Annie absolutely opened my eyes to a brand new world ❤️ For me, this is the only ✨ANNIE ✨❤️ ✨
Jonathan Perez, how could you clearly remember anything at 4 years old🙄?
@@Lightner445555555555 I'm sorry I'm gifted and on the spectrum. I tested for the whole country exam ( like an IQ test but less subjective and specific to your aptitude for rhythm and music.my music score, at 9, was in the 99th percentile and I tested in the 98th percentile for rhythm. My brother was 99th and 100th. I wasn't allowed to have a TV and I have all of my imagery from my life which I began recalling in great detail since I was four. You have every right to be incredulous, however you are incorrect. I have taped of me at four singing every single song in Annie. I remember every word and melody and harmony for almost every and any song that moves my soul. Sorry, sum of us are more in touch with 📝, dreams, and reflections.✌🏼🤙🏼🖖🏼😘💯
Jeez, I was only 3 when this came out, but I still have a memory of watching it on a recorded VHS with Robin William's Popeye and Disney's The Black Hole on it. And it's a cool memory as I can remember the old configuration of my house that miss so much. Only through old pictures am I able to reminisce so vividly. "Old thoughts return, in great waves of nostalgia."
Let this sink in. Starring Carol Burnett, Albert Finney, Bernadette Peters, Tim Curry and directed by John Huston and Aileen Quinn stole the show!
Never cried so softly in my life . 🥲
I remember watching this on the DVD as a kid, good times
I loved this movie as a little girl in the 80s❤
Happy fiftieth birthday, Aileen!
Best Annie ever! I love ❤️ that little girl especially in the red dress. We love you Aileen.
That was GREAT!!! Loved it!!! Even though it was short it still was GREAT!!! Loved watching Annie the movie!! And the Broadway musical Annie!! Loved it all!!
Seen it so many times!!! Just loved it!!
As far as I’m concerned, she’ll always be THE “Annie”
Been a fan of Aileen Quinn since I was a young child and over the years I've gotten to know more about her, and her acting work, and her music, and now I love her even more than ever! ❤😊 And also, I'm not afraid to say it....she's also a really beautiful, charming, and classy woman!
I love the song Maybe too.
Happy.to see you! I am always a fan. I have a copy of the movie still. Annie 1982 is one of the best movies ever made. Great love to you Aileen!
I loved both Allison and Andrea as Annie both .I first saw Andrea Mcardle in Annie well I had the 33 RPM record of it any way in 79 it came out in 77.Then I saw Andrea in Rainbow a TV movie the young Judy Garlands life where Andrea played the young Judy G . Then in 1982 I had the record album from the movie and saw it on TV in 1986.

My infant movies with my parents 😁 1980's
She was the BEST Annie EVER! Andrea McCardle was great onstage in the Broadway production, BUT, Eileen was FANTASTIC in the movie version.
I just came across this on CZcams. The estate is part of what was then Monmouth College currently Monmouth University. Annie was filmed there a year before my freshmen year there. The estate was called Wilson Hall (Shadow Lawn) and is on the national register of historic places. I had several classes in that building. It has been used countless times for either TV shows or TV and print ads. Truth be told no one ever really lived there for very long it was summer estate ad eh depression costs it then owners quite a bit to maintain it. The building was actually the second estate's first one burned down. After being a residence, it became an all girls school. Monmouth Jr college bought in the 1950s. It became to cornerstone for the colleges then new and current location. As the school grew it went from being a Jr commuting college to a four-year school with dorms and large victorian mansions which became frat houses. In the middle 1980s the college began its quest to become a university. By that time the victorian houses were mostly gone and the Shadow lawn estate was placed on the national register of historic places. The school eventually gained university sometime within five years of applying. Aileen Quinn sometime later soon, after receiving an honorary DR of Arts from Monmouth, became an adjunct professor at the school. She currently is no longer there. Just thought you would all be interested.
