I’ve used both. The Bose are spectacular in anc. The Mx5s were non existent no matter what ear tips I used, settings adjustments, or how hard I jammed them into my ears. I sent them back the next day.
Same with me. I bought both of them at the same time. Used them both for 2 days and naturally ended up just wanting to use the bose earbuds 2. Ended returning the Sonys and then the bose 2 to upgrade them for the bose ultras! These are a nice upgrade!
What about comparing them to the ultras because I am currently using the wf1000xm5 and the anc is phenomenal in my opinion and I would expect them to be better than the Bose QuietComfort 2 because they are not as new as the wf1000xm5. In the headphones connect app by Sony there is very thorough feature where you can text the anc to ensure that you get the best anc as possible in all conditions and for I think it worked expectionally well, I think it help me in identifying that I needed to change my earbud size to a slight bigger size for better ANC. Yes, the foam tips mostly like make a massive difference in improving the ANC. You can also test different earbud size to ensure you find the right eartips fit comfortably in your ear which help with the ANC a lot.
i have Sony Xm5's, they don't fit better than bose. A lot of times they just will fall off. With Bose, no problems at all, also very good for gym, running, and all sports activies- go for the Bose! :)
Such a bullshit argument. You can fit memory foam tips on anything. I got them on AirPods Pro 2 and my chi-fi IEMs. Btw, Bose is a legend in noise cancellation. … from aviation to sport shooting … you shouldn’t doubt their effectiveness.
I am still thinking of replacing them with perhaps the Technics AZ80 or Jabra Elite 10, still unsure. I love everything about the wf1000xm5, there isn't anything I would change about even the 4 taps to increase and decrease the volume, i dont think there is anything much to tapping the earbud 4 times. The only reason I would switch to the Jabra Elite 10 is because its perfect and durable in everyway. The case and earbuds have a very high ip rating and its not often that you get a device with such durability and you can connect to more than 2 devices at the same time according to the website and its the same for the Technics Eah-Az80 but the earbus are ip rated 4 or 5 which is good and sound quality is better but i have never used either of them before but watched and read reviews. Please guys any suggestions I'd be greatly because ultimately I am very happy with the wf100xm5 all-round but it seems like the Jabra beats the Sony in some areas.
Why does everyone say that the xm5 keep falling yall are probably not using the right size of Foam tips cuz mine have never fallen and i work aroudn water all the time i get wet and never had an issue with them even coming off also Anc is perfect in xm5, i have yet to try the ultra but i went with sony i dont doubt the ultra will be better but even my wh-1000xm5 anc is phenomenal. That's not true. I have had both and Sony's fit is horrendous. They fell of my ears all the time. Bose's insolation is superior because of its double silicone band. Also, the (sony's) foam tips that you showed will damage your ear canals in the long run.
I have both the Sony link buds S and Bose Qc Ultra. I'm using the Silicone coated foam ear tips from amazon on my Sony Link buds S and the ANC is about the same as the Bose QC Ultra. I'm sure the QC Ultra would be even better if it had foam ear tips. The Sony Link buds S ANC is the same as the 1000xm5 and is more comfortable with foam ear tips. I have small ears and the Bose is more comfortable and stay in much better than both of the Sony's.
The xm5 suck, the xm4 where better 100% amd the bose ultra which is just slightly but barely better than the bose 2, have way better anc than the sony xm4
Bose has the best noise cancellation, it’s a well known fact. Sure it’s improved with Sony, but they’re not the best in the noise cancellation department.
tbh both are trash lol, headphones are better for noise cancellation, earbuds are fine but not quite there, I can hear everything and yes passive noise cancellation is good like in any other earbuds with good fit and ear plugs
The Bose QC 2 are trash! I get routine disconnects which means that i habe to go to my phone and unpair then pair them up again. They shut off many times and without the case to reconnect them to your device you're s4it out of luck. I will never buy Bose again!
Never cares for plastic trying to stay in my ear. Its uncomfortable and does not properly block out the sound around you. Wife has 2 of those airpod earbuds. I do give one of those a very impressive noise cancelation but not better than my bose ultras.

I have the wf-1000xm3s and the boise cancellation, even without foam eartips, sound pretty great. Should i keep these and not get the bose qc 2's?
