    One: Make sure you soak your bamboo whisk for about a minute before using it. This will make the thin bristles more pliable and less likely to break.
    Two: Always sift your matcha before using it! This extra step only takes a few seconds and it will remove a lot of the clumps in your matcha.
    Three: Start out with a little bit of matcha and mix the tea into a paste. This will give you an additional opportunity to smooth out the clumps.
    Four: Whisk your matcha in quick, zigzag motions using your wrist. This will create a nice foam on top of your matcha which gives it a smoother and creamier taste.
    Five: Make sure you go for a high quality matcha! This is a premium, first harvest ceremonial grade matcha so it will have a vibrant green color and a smooth flavor.     When matcha is prepared correctly, is it normal to see sediments on the bottom of the cup?

      I have the same question.
      I have a super high quality Shizuoka matcha with tested 130mg / g EGCG catechins, incredible umami smell and nutty sweet smooth taste.
      Soaking the whisk in warm water before using it is necessary, it's a must, don't skip it
