Sadly Colosseum could withstand the loss of several of its most brilliant musicians but not the loss of Jon. Thank God for video recordings which will allow us to continue to enjoy their music and performance way into the future.
If I was allowed to listen to only one guitar solo ever, it would be this or one from Lost Angeles from Colosseum Live..... Clem Clempson is underrated genius....
I know all the Collosseum Songs of the early 70's , but this reunion Concert are the best Collosseum ever , with a brilliant Solo of Clem Clempson , awesome !
Clem Clempson is possibly the most underrated guitar player ever. In the early 70's I adored his "Lost Angeles" solo from the Colosseum Live 1971 album, but dammit, this performance is as good if not better! In between 71 and 94 he was involved in other projects but Colosseum was the one that made him shine. He has that Gibson Burstbucker tone that made Eric Clapton famous. However, as good as E.C. used to be, I have to say that Clem beats him with his best Colosseum performances. Absolutely brilliant!
Just amazing how many great musicians came through the John Mayall academy (Eric and Peter seem to hog the front page but just look at drummers alone...........)
I thumbs downed this video, because I have the original album and this is a poor shadow of that. I know every note of the original. This makes me cringe with disappointment, much as I love the band and the original album.
I played that song a thousand times as a kid (I'm 64)...he took some improvisational license with that solo (I'm sure he could have played it note-for-note if he chose)...but it was just as good (subjectively, even better), as the original off the album.
@@paulbeligni4525 And the brilliant original guitar solo was by James Litherland. Jon Hiseman decided to remove it from some of the CD releases of the original album.
One of the best bands ever.

Agreed! I just watched this whole 1994 concert last night and it blew me away!

Oldies, but goldies :)))) I love the first formation of Colloseum! Regards from Bulgaria.
Great musicianship all the way around. Jon Hiseman is outstanding.
One of my prefered Songs. Inspiring music, great musicians
totally one of the best guitar solos I have heard in quite some time, and a great band putting it all together!
I am enjoying every time I watch this video. Colosseum is a really great band (not quartet with Gary Moore, but the first one). Absolutely great!!
