Tarja has joined them onstage several times to perform this song, including Master of Rock 2019. From the 2014 Hydra album.
Recommend a WT live video. Their Black Symphony show is great, The Metropole Orchestra performed with them. Ice Queen, Mother Earth, or Our Solemn Hour would be good to start with from there.
They are amazing, the best duet of the world! I saw Whithin Temptation, Nightwish, and Tarja very times!

@Allen Infinity Great choice! I recommended Angels to them last time, so yes I concur! As well as the whole good triumphing over evil thing, they'll also hear a different tone to Sharon's voice on that one. The video is great and the song is easily in my top five WT songs.

Dutch band, started as a goth/doom metal and transitioned to symphonic metal. Their founder and vocalist Sharon den Aden said, "We consider ourselves more an atmospheric melodic symphonic metal/rock band." OK, can someone decipher that into 'Merican? They sound really good though, certainly worth a look. Great reaction, stay safe, God Bless, keep rocking.

Hi y’all, 3:15 am over here. I was just going to sleep and I got the notification for this, so I had to watch. I love Within Temptation and Sharon den Adel. It makes me kinda proud being Dutch and that this small country has so many great female singers and musicians. I know it can’t be that we have something in the water, because I’ve been drinking it for almost 60 years and I sound horrible 😂
I personally like their older song’s a little bit more.

Yes, Within Temptation is truly great. Tarja is great too.
One thing about Within Temptation is that they experiment with different kind of music styles. They also have a song with a rapper and it is very good. Of course there are people who don't like it that Within Temptation does different styles.
Also Tarja is classical trained on the other side Sharon den Adel is self-taught.
Tarja is at the moment doing her Christmas tour (she does that almost every year).
Within Temptation are having their World Collide Tour with Evanescence.

I can help with the reactor bits. I have my power engineering diploma so I'm talking from the official source. Those scary towers are cooling towers and their purpose is to cool water that was superheated steam back down to match the outside air. The clouds you see coming out of those towers are exactly that. 100% evaporated water vapour.
You spray cold water and release the remaining heat from the condensed steam. The water flows back to the water resouvoir to be reused. That water was never exposed to radiation. It was in pipes in a boiler next to the box where the radioactive rods were. Only heat transfers over. The water is far more alyline than drinking water and filtered far more than drinking water. Impurities foul up the boilers and pipes. They can even make the high temperature/high pressure boiler's walls brittle. If you watch video of boiler failure you can see the hatch of one go flying through concrete walls. That would be bad!!
So once water under pressure and heat gets superheated past boiling it's released through valves and pipes to the turbine blades. The.pressure rotates the turbine. The turbines are electro magnets. Spin iron inside a magnetic field, you get electricity.
Once the steam has cooled past super heating but still boiling hot it is piped out to the cooling tower. The natural air current draws the water vapour up. The cold water cools it and it rains downwind into the pond.
The radioactive core they use is science fiction. Nothing like that exists.
Now bts, the band was fimed at 2x speed so when its played back at normal speed it seems slow motion.
I love the duet. Great music all around. Great message that we can't rely on others to solve our problems. We need to do it ourselves.

I saw both them and Nightwish at Sweden rock this summer and i must say that within temptation did a better gig. And i am more a Nightwish fan otherwise but man WT was so damned good

Guys, still too modern. I dig this song but go back further. Their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th records are absolute masterpieces. I’m really kind of bummed by their current sound because I was such a big fan. I think their 4th record the unforgiving is the best pop
Metal recorded since the 80’s. And their 2nd record the silent force stands up with Nightwish and Epica in the symphonic metal category. I will hope they go back to their roots in the future.
"High hopes" you have. Usually, when bands decide to go creative and change their sound, there is no going back. But there is a going down sometimes.
I've never been much into Within Temptation but if all their newer stuff is like this - no, thanks. Their earlier albums sound more serious, more "gothic". I'm not sure if I would put them into the symphonic metal category though. They've always had a bit of this kind of "pop metal" sound.
Speaking of symphonic metal - the latest Nightwish album sounds neither too symphonic nor too metal. It's just... weird. My expectations for their next album are not too high at this point.

OId WT is good symphonic metal. The newer stuff tho..... meh. Their latest album is more gothic rock than metal and has some really atrocious synthesizer lines (sounds like a $20 Walmart Casio keyboard) covering some pretty good riffs. In short, they've become a bit inconsistent in quality.
Sharon den Adel is a genius tho. She's gorgeous , writes most of the songs , designs the shows and makes her own dresses and outfits for it. She's an electrifying performer on stage.
