I keep the leftovers in a gallon size ziplock; once it is full, i send it over to her. THAT CHAIR is gorgeous!!!!!!!! and very clever to have the hidden compartment!
The bin looks so pretty. Well done.My youngest son and wife bought me two shelves with 9 places to put in bins. I have them in my craft room and they keep me organized and neat. Every thing has a spot and every spot have its place. It looks real nice. Well done.

My yarn room has those exact same wire cubes you got. I have them across 3 entire walls and they hold a LOT of yarn. I like them because they allow for airflow. When putting it together, make SURE the wire panels SNAP into the connectors, or you can end up with an unstable or tilting unit. But boy, I LOVE these wire cubes! People even use these for small animal cages and runs (like for rabbits, guinea pigs, etc) because you don't HAVE to snap them in a complete "cube" grid. I've had mine for about a year now and they are still very sturdy!

I can't believe you're giving away our secret, that we too have small piles of stuff here and there. I use all those little things in scrap blankets or make a ball with all the little bits tied together with the magic knot and wound up into cakes to use for those scrap blankets. Everyone loves how colorful they turn out.

Hi very pretty yarn room and one thing I don't have is any yarn room I only use the living room and don't even have room in my house to do a yarn room. The green and blue color of yarns are really pretty, thank you for sharing with all of us. The dogs are very cute as well.
I like to wind all my little leftovers into big cakes and then I make blankets out of them. I use the Russian join and I usually have a cake on my winder at all times so when I get a leftover I just add it on right then. I like to make baskets using two or three strands at a time, or I make scrapghans. If I have a big piece, like half a skein I wind those separately.

Great job! Love your room and especially your precious doggies! BTW, I never have yarn to wind up. If I have a partial skein that I don’t need immediately, I sit and wind it while relaxing and watching tv. Small balls of yarn go into a shoe holder on the back of my closet door so I can get to them easily. Full skeins are stored in my loft, in rolling garment bags. 💕💕
All those leftovers would make a beautiful Scrapghan. If u ever want to donate any please let me know I bring it to senior center. They make granny squares and I sew them together. I’m jealous your craft room is gorgeous.

I live on a 38' sailboat and the berth in the front, "the pointy end" is where I store my yarn. Every few months I rearrange it, basically to recall what I have!!! Your room looks nice and comfy! Just a heads up about storing yarn in front of windows: I have a big 16 cube organizer that sits in front of a window. I have blinds and always keep them closed, but I didn’t realize how much light was still getting through. Some of my yarn got bleached 😢. So I bought a black cardboard craft thing at Dollar Tree and now I put that on the windowsill behind my organizer.
I inherited a refrigerator sized box of yarn from my late mom, plus from 2 friends. I've been loom knitting hats for charity like a mad woman.
