Its the first time I felt the need to put on a safety belt on my couch. When you've finished with that car, ive got a subaroo forester that could do with a going over, Book me in.... That was fun, especially since I didn't have to be in the car with you. And you can still do some coin hunting in the car, though they'll be all decimal. Still got my 94 vr. 156000 on the clock. Tom has now claimed it with the intention to do a complete restoration. It dont need much at all. Its still complete and on the road.
One of the best models ever made the vr and vs commodore i feel @Mark Mcintosh one of my first cars was a 93 Vr with a mock up clubsport body kit on it😆 Didn't I think I was the cool cat driving around to! until I had to pop the Bonnet and show that it was just a v6😆 Great solid cars though and also now classics👌 I am not to sure what we will do with this vs just yet but I know we will have fun along the way. Got me a 94 VR too. 273000 on the clock and still going hard out awesome car and engine. Regular oil changes are the key.

to my son about almost 9 years ago, I got it brand new and it’s only got
127.000 on the clock,
Just recently I had to change the clock spring that’s the biggest issue we’ve had with it, and the air conditioner, keeps loosing the gas even though we’ve replaced the cylinder, got fixed last Christmas and it’s shit it’s self again a month ago, it’s Red and the clear coat has started to peel, apart from that it’s a decent car
I think we definitely won out on this buy @MD MELBOURNE a good solid vs commodore and from what I can see so far it's relatively untouched and stock original.
The Vy are also a favourite model of mine. However the clock springs are a common issue unfortunately...even up to the ve and vf tange. (Partner currently needs her Ve ss clock spring replaced also) I would be getting the A/C lines all pressure tested and inspected upon your next refill. (Maybe already being done but best to ask) Generally they leak at the o-rings on lines or at the back of the a/c pump itself.
I told myself I was going to have my car regassed this summer but still haven't got around to doing it...so it's open windows for me atm on hot days😄😂
@@DigItDetecting i got myself a Mazda CX5 as a family car and a CX7 for me to get around in, the CX5 is a diesel engine, the CX7 i got a loan for as a insensitive to give up the smokes,
It worked, 4 years later I paid it off at 90 bucks a week, that’s equivalent to possibly two packs lol 😂, I was a 70 a day smoker, you’re probably thinking WTF.. had to have surgery to remove my sinuses and the doctors told me if I didn’t give them up they wouldn’t touch me, so no brainer..
@MD MELBOURNE both great cars again mate and also a fantastic decision to give up the smokes for good. I won't lie though, I still enjoy a cigarette but only a few a day now compared to the 40 prior. Not a great habit to have, but we all have our vices😉👍
VS came out in 1995 and May 1996 was the last month for series 1
I would keep it,reliable motor with plenty of parts and you wont get many opportunities like it in future.
Your probably right @Zingling I should keep it for future mate and keep doing it up. However just not sure how much spare time i have to work on it...or space I have to store it. I will keep deciding more as we go though. For what I paid it was a great buy👌👌

It could well be @Graham Roberts the old commodores are picking up in value and rarity. Seems funny to say that to, as once upon a time, these cars were everywhere! I look forward to sharing what's in store for future with this project. Cheers heaps mate👍🙂
Love the Vs commodores i have 1997 Holden commodore Vs has ss lip kit onit and people mistake it for it being a ss😂
