I'm 42 yrs old & I have had the same issues with my diet thru the years. I'm currently 188lbs, down from 195 lbs as of 2 weeks & 4 days ago. Thank you for this video. I'll be editing this comment when I reach 175 lbs. Edit: I'm back with an update as promised. I'm currently 173 lbs as of today 7-23-23. I actually reached 175 lbs on 7-18-23. My goal is 150 lbs. My next edit will be 160 lbs.
I lost 16lbs in 3mos while navigating restricting, a few binge days, and now I’m finally healing my relationship with food and eating what’s best for me and when. Cycle syncing and eating for hormones has helped me tremendously because what I eat and when vary throughout the month. My body feels settled so I’m releasing weight. I just had to fight my inner demons first lol
These goals are spot on. I incorporated many of these same things and went from 207 to 178 between July ‘22 and January ‘23. Now I’m in prep for my first powerlifting meet. ❤❤❤
I’m the same weight and before I went into the military, I was 135. Then when I had my 2 boys, I was around 150 when I was pregnant. Then my depression worsened and it slowly made my weight go up to 205 2 years ago! I’m sitting at 183ish now and I’ve always thought that 160-150 would be a good range for me…so this really helps me! I’m starting school and working as well and it’s a great time to get the nutrition right, drink more water, and start adding workouts back into my routine 🎉
Thank you for this video. I have been working really hard, but when I step on the scale, it doesn’t show. But looking back at my old photos, I made a lot of progress. I was 190Ibs now I’m 151Ibs!
Thank you so much for this Kesha! I feel like I have messed up my mindset with being so strict on myself. I did strict keto back in 2019 and dropped 40 pounds in two months, but my mindset always goes back to being so restrictive and that’s the part that messes me up because I find Myself rebelling against that restrictive mindset. Thank you for your great tips, so relatable!
I’ve been there!! I was in that cycle for years! It takes time to break out of it. But it’s just something you have to continue to remind yourself about.
This content is exactly what I needed for motivation. 3 months into my regimen, I’m seeing results slowly but I did want to give up. Your video got me refocused.Thank youuuuu!!💕
Finally, someone with the same height! I started at 195 pounds and am now sitting between 165 and 167 pounds thanks to ADF. My build/measurements is different, and my stomach isn't completely flat (slowest to go but not mad because slow and steady!) I love how consistent you are with your workouts; I'm trying to add that to my routine because I feel at that point I want to tone up and get some muscle. Agree with you about tracking using photos and measurements! I use photos the most!
Congrats on your weight loss! I really really needed to hear this. I'm just now finishing week 6 in my cut and have lost 4 pounds. My expectations were to lose at least 6 pounds by now. As I'm typing this out, it seems silly to stress about being 2 pounds off my goals but like you mentioned, the number on the scale is making me feel super discouraged. Especially when I'm staying consistent with the deficit, the strength training 4-5 days a week and the 7-8k steps a day. While, yes, it's pretty much auto pilot at this point, the number on the scale occupies sooo much space in my head. Thank you for sharing your journey. It's so nice to see realistic weight loss journeys to keep you in the right mindset. Will keep pushing!
I know that feeling! And what I want you to do is google what 4 pounds of fat looks like. Once I saw what even a pound looks like my entire mindset changed. Let me know once you see it. And btw 4 pounds is phenomenal. Don’t forget that.
I wish I could put into words just how timely this video was for me. How much God knew I needed it. Thank you for this. I’ve had so much clarity listening to you speak about your journey as you touched on everything I needed to hear. Especially the patience tip. Whew! Thank you, Kesha ♥️
So many good tips here, especially the goal setting (i.e. set goal for 20 workouts for the month, 30k steps for the week). You look fantastic and your voice is incredibly soothing! LOL Thank you.
Girl thank you!!! I got diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 16 and I’ve struggled with my weight my whole life. I’m 36 now and your input helped me get in the right direction. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing! My PCOS symptoms actually started kicking in in my late 40s. I too went strong in the gym, lifted heavy and managed my physique. Then all of a sudden I was just exhausted. I'm following your journey closely and applying tips. So far so good. I'm glad you mentioned other exercises to incorporate aside from pilates. It's super expensive 😂 keep the updates coming!
The workout part is me, i enjoy high intensity workouts and I love to lift heavy. But since my PCOS got worse my hormones have been mad at me. I had to re-strategise, power yoga is the answer for me. I love the lean muscles I get from it, and oh boy you’ll sweat without feeling so out of breath so much.
Yes it was so tough giving that up! Once i feel as if my hormones are in a good place, I will probably add in a hiit workout like once a week. I’ll see how my body responds to that.
Pilates transformed my life! I started in 2022 and incorporated Pilates l, barre and yoga into my routine and also incorporated 30 minutes of cardio and 2x week strength training. At 45, I feel absolutely stunning and look fit.
Y’all these methods work. My sister is a trainer and taught me this. Things changed when I was diagnosed with pregnancy. Having a high protein intake 100g, implementing even more fruits and veggies during the pregnancy, walking, strength training, and yoga is what helped me keeping everything balanced. My first pregnancy the weight I turned into muscle bc I didn’t want to be that small anymore and I was breastfeeding so I couldn’t do a lot of cutting anyway.
I couldn’t wait to watch this video 😊 Kesha… saying how she lost 20 pounds. You look fabulous young lady and thank you for all the tips. I needed them.
This was a good video. I was struggling with my weight for years and found out it was fibroids. Now after surgery the weight is coming off, slowly but it happening. This was encouraging
Woiiii I felt that wen u said if I eat pizza today , I won’t eat it again no more imma just strictly eating clean because I do the same. It’s bad I tend to be extremely hard on myself to reach my goals which is not healthy but I’m still working on it
You're super inspiring. Over the last two years I've lose around 40 pounds. I'm now plateauing HARD and it's been hard for me to keep at it (especially the nutrition piece.) Your realistic view to weight loss and wellness is so refreshing. Thanks for sharing
When you said...let that number on the scale go... focus on being healthy..paraphrasing of course...I immediately liked and subscribed!! You are so right... so real...
You have really made me rethink my whole weight loss journey in a good way. I am definitely a scale watcher and I also set goals that are very restrictive and not realistic for ME. I’m about to change all of that! Thank you for this video!!
This was great. I’m a new subscriber. After years of fitness, I noticed I gained weight when I turned 40 and got married. I’m also tired a lot too…but I’m changing my mindset to more abundance and doing what I know to do…eat well, move, rest, be mindful of thoughts. Thank you.
Thank you Kesha for inspiring us all & for being so transparent. Your content is always so empowering, this one really hit majorly today🙏🏾🫶🏾thanks again✨
Thanks for this! As many others have mentioned I needed to hear this! I set realistic goals for myself and adjusted my mindset when I started seeing things slow down. I started my journey at the new year after the last few years of gaining after two kids back to back. I finally started seeing the weight drop then I broke my ankle! It’s been a gut punch because I can’t get my steps in now and certain exercises and cardio options are off limits. This last week I’ve been so discouraged… thanks for being transparent and sharing your journey.
Great content. We as people are naturally designed to be in a state of ketosis. Protein and fats are what the body needs. Carbs are mainly energy sources. Unless you are running marathons or long bouts of cardio, carbs will keep you from burning body fat efficiently.
Thank you for highlighting the importance of rest and recovery. I love going going going and I know I need that rest between workouts. Thank you floored sharing your journey.
I really needed to hear this because I’ve been consistent (well I thought I was) for a month and I am stuck on the same weight. I’ve track my calories, walked 10k steps or more 5 days a week. I’m really struggling to shed this weight fr. But imma keep pushing and be more strict.
I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2021, and I found that I’m learning how to tweak my nutrition, exercise, and rest. The biggest challenge is giving up what was working before I became insulin resistant. It’s been about seeking balance and respecting what my body responds to. I’m still very strong. My body is 1/3 muscle. I can lift a 400 lb person with my arms or my legs in self-defense fighting. Body fat reduction and digestion regulation is the key for me.
New subscriber 🎉. I have had Pcos for over ten years, and woah, it has taken my body whole through it. At this moment, I am on a weight loss journey along with improving my hyperpigmentation and hair loss. You have truly inspired me to get back into yoga 🧘♀️ and take it easy on myself.
Thank you for all your help. I watch all you videos. I suffer from PCOS. You keep me encouraged and help me stay on track with my weight loss goals. I had been researching vitamins so this was right on time.
Thank you!! Especially about the part regarding patience. I've been working out regularly and improving my diet for 3 weeks and look EXACTLY the same. I was like I'll give it a month and if I don't see a change soon I'm done. So, yeah, staying consistent is the key. I try to focus more on strength, flexibility, and endurance improvements. Those show up quicker than changes in wt and size it seems.
Thanx Sis!! ❤️ I truly needed to hear this. Thank you for being so transparent & for the positive encouragement. It's so easy to fall off after we don't see immediate results. I've been on my weight loss journey & gym regimen for a month now & wanted so very badly to give up. I even wanted to go back to my old eating habits. But after seeing your video, I know it's just all in my head & I need to stay consistent and keep pushing forward. Staying focused is key! I really appreciate this video & the tips. 🥰
Thanks for the honesty and vulnerability. I’ve been trying to lose weight for the past 2 1/2 months and my weight has been annoyingly teetering and it’s been a struggle to stay in it and be motivated. But this video put a lot of things in perspective for me so I’m energized to keep going!!!!! Officially a subscriber!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
You look good Keisha. Thanks for the encouragement of consistency and to go on even with the scale not really moving.Pliz share your new body measurements!!
You know what's odd about me learning about my journey. I want what I don't have. When I tell myself I can't have something and try to limit my interaction I fail. When I actually indulge or at least eat things I enjoy I eat better. My mindset had to evolve to girl it'll still be there when you hit your goals. Pray for me making it through Ramadan I hope everyone is doing well and keep preserving 🙏🏿💪🏿👍🏿🥰✨
I’m so happy you just popped into my recommended, I was diagnosed pcos as a teen and have had infertility and weight loss issues because of it, now 2 babies later after a ton of hormone injection help I cannot get this weight off… this mom belly gotta go 🤣 I’ve been super consistent with daily workouts but I know my nutrition is still subpar. Thank you for the tips, can’t wait to continue following your journey, you look amazing ❤️
I realized I operate on the scarcity mindset.. what if I die tomorrow and I can’t eat the rest of the cake in the fridge..? So I just ate it all. I was just telling my bf yday that I’m so disappointed with myself because the fastest way to lose weight is to change my diet.. and I can’t even stick to that!! Everything you spoke about hits home.. the eating.. training.. I’m a former basketball player and love to sweat, workout hard…. I’m going to implement what you’re saying. I have to see myself as an individual and not compare myself to other people.. when i feel like I’ve tracked, buckled down and for months don’t see any change, it’s discouraging. I’ll talk to someone who stopped drinking soda for a month and drops 30lbs..😩Thank you for showing it can be realistically done.. it scars me that as I’m aging I feel that I will have to track my food forever.. I can’t be 65 tracking calories 😂.
Thanks for the video. I am sitting at 200.. I got to 186 last summer. And put it back on holidays, stress, moving across state. I am just so frustrated with myself. And it seems to go to my stomach now. I'm totally going to try this website. Summer is in 2 months if I can just get 15 off and back to 185, I would be thrilled. I have tried keto and IF and it does work. But I really struggle with the prep.. and my sweet tooth and bread crave is so overwhelming when my cycle come. Oh and sleep is a issue around my cycle too. Any suggestions for sleep outside of mattress and carb cravings?? And congrats on your 20lb weight loss🎉
Aaawww, you look amazing, Kesh! 😍Congrats on your accomplishments thus far! 💕 Keep going, you’ve got this! 💪🏽 Thank you for sharing the PCOS supplements! I will be definitely pulling the trigger on the Insitol.
Finishing my kids meals made me fat! So I blame the kids lolol. But you are so correct, I have...HAD to finish that bag of chips or pizza...waste nothing 😣. Thats MUST CHANGE!
New viewer! I like what you said about intuitive eating vs counting calories and macros!! In my early days, I used to be able to eat small meals every four hours and cut off food by 7pm. I ate whatever I wanted in moderation and still lost like 25 pounds in like a couple months! My body does not work that way anymore! I have a caloric deficit and I'm eating every 2-4 hours to keep my metabolism running! I wonder if I will always have to be on a caloric deficit. Planning my meals make it easier for me to stay on track throughout the day! Thanks for the video!
Man, you are speaking truth.... I am so glad you mentioned all those tips. It's a journey.... like a roller coaster ride. Some days, you're on, and some days, you are off. BTW, how do you get your skin so smooth???
Thank you for your transparency Kesha! I definitely needed this video. I’ve literally been dealing with some of the same weight issues that you have. This video was very informative and helpful. Thank you. ❤
My issue is I'm not eating enough and my body is in starvation mode making me gain weight. I never knew this even existed until now. As I've gotten older, my appetite just isn't as large as it use to be and it's a struggle. I might eat one meal a day, maybe two and be okay but my body says NO! So I must do something fast. I hate the gym, so I just began attempting 10k steps five days per week. I'm struggling.
Hi beautiful! First, thank you. Everything you're saying is true!! I had to lose a large amount of weight for breast reduction surgery and I did almost everything you did. Down to the books, I read 1 a month and out bookshelves feature a lot of the same books. I lessened my book count to 5-7 this year tho. I haven't looked but do you have more videos about PCOS? I don't have it /haven't asked any doctors about it but I've heard a lot of women being diagnosed and I want to know more about it because it seems like it's becoming more common. Thanks for sharing
Drop whatever you are doing and go read the book Womans’s weight loss secrets: the unspoken truth, its absolutely life changing, trust me on this

What specific steps did you take? I've struggled with binging and emotional eating for years :(
I lost 20lbs in 4 months. But the problem for me was I was too hard on myself so I gave up and stopped.
I definitely relate to this! How did you understand how to sync with your cycle and eat in sync with that?
These goals are spot on. I incorporated many of these same things and went from 207 to 178 between July ‘22 and January ‘23. Now I’m in prep for my first powerlifting meet. ❤❤❤

So happy for you sis! I've been trying to get to 175 pounds for a year now!! I finally made it to the 189 but have a ways to go!! Tfs 🙌🏾

Wow! I did not realize that I had a scarcity mindset with food until you put it in words!
The moment I saw a book on the shelf that I love, I knew I would love your channel loll 😂❤️❤️🩷
Thanks for this well balanced, healthy perspective:)
I feel like you just understand your body and i love that sm😍😍
Thank you for such clear and concise explanations! 🧡
Great I can’t wait I was 178 in feb now I’m 170 I could used encouragement thank so much again 😊
This is the realist progress I’ve saw thus far
Thank youuu I needed this ❤️
Thank you for the great video!! Very helpful and motivating as I progress through my journey.
You look amazing!! 🤎
Im in the exact boat! Good luck we can do it. ❤
Great video!. I need to drop 20lbs as well. I just set some realistic goals for April. You look great!

Thank you for sharing the PCOS supplements! I will be definitely pulling the trigger on the Insitol.
Hi Shawn! I received the same msg. Is it really from Kesha?
@@jerrijohnson280 Hi! I’m pretty sure that it’s not…this same message is on quite a few of her replies, so I would say not from her.
So happy for you and you look amazing. I definitely don’t limit myself when it come to eating and I had to train myself to eat whatever I want
Finishing my kids meals made me fat! So I blame the kids lolol. But you are so correct, I have...HAD to finish that bag of chips or pizza...waste nothing 😣. Thats MUST CHANGE!
Great video! Just what I needed hear. Im going to change my whole approach to weight loss.
Look at God. I have PCOS and have been struggling! I’m so glad he led me to your page - about to dive into your videos haha
Thank you Kesha, this was very helpful and your skin is your glowing, you are such a beautiful person ❤
You look great 😍 so inspiring!
Man, you are speaking truth.... I am so glad you mentioned all those tips. It's a journey.... like a roller coaster ride. Some days, you're on, and some days, you are off. BTW, how do you get your skin so smooth???
This video was sooo helpful and well done! Thank you sis! ❤
This is great info, thanks
Great information! You look great! I’m inspired. 💪🏾
Gorgeous and very inspiring. Thank you for the great content
Thank you for your transparency Kesha! I definitely needed this video. I’ve literally been dealing with some of the same weight issues that you have. This video was very informative and helpful. Thank you. ❤
Great tips sis and you look absolutely beautiful! I have to look into Saw Palmetto 👍🏾 Thanks.
All I’m going to say is that you are amazing
I just love how genuine you are ❤️🔥honestly your vidéos did something in me
Thank you so much
Thank you, thank you for these tips. And making small changes will move me along. And get me back in the game. Thank you so much😊
Hi beautiful!
