    • @Geralt12HW
      @Geralt12HW Před 4 měsíci

      @@martinlopez2816 I mean it's actually true what they've said. Combat is embarassing considering The Witcher 1 animations, even second did it a little better (except wooden movement.) I couldn't count how many times I was swearing at Geralt's whirls instead of simple sword cuts using just elbows. What's the more irritating is that Geralt has lost his ability to attack with rebound (I hope that translation isn't as rough as I presume) from Assassin's of Kings, which move I loved a lot, because of automatical closing range to the enemy. I felt like Geralt in Wild Hunt got shortened arms. The sorry move of whirlwind is a joke in case of animation.
      Combat sucks at many points, but other factors such as soundtrack, climatic locations, quests, story makes this game one of the most magnificent games I've ever played. Nothing comes close to Geralt's story, which is down-to-the-ground story of a mutant despised by humans, monster slayer who kills creatures for money as his profession, considered emotionless killing machine, many times manipulated and used by kings, bastards and sorceress' - between all these he's a human. Geralt is just human, as much as any of drunkards, filthy peasants, townsmans, nobilities or kings, doing his job that is cleaning world form monsters. World created by Andrzej Sapkowski wasn't as innovative as Tolkiens Middle Earth, but it was simple. Witcher's saga shows that being mutated Witcher doesn't make you less human than you was before Kaer Morhen or any other of schools. Chasing Ciri to save her from nightmares was more human worth and noble than defending lines on maps.
      And you know what? The Witcher 3 soundtrack can tell glimpse of that story by just listening.

Don't get me wrong im from the era of FF7 (i was 12 when it came out in 1997) and Ocarina of time and these are amazing games too... but the witcher is so unique in many ways and the soundtrack is clearly the best soundtrack ever created for a game! I had to take some holidays from work to fully commit myself to this masterpiece! After finishing the first playthrough on normal mode (which took me about 300 hours) i had to do it again straight away but in the highest difficulty possible!! Man.. what a journey it was!!

    I absolutely love TW3 for its realistic armor and weapons. Same goes for the world building anbd story. It feels so realitic when it comes to dark fantasy. First time I visited this game world I'll never forget because it was so realistic to the medieval ages like no other fantasy rpg was. I enjoyed the Elder Scrolls series a lot before but it still felt not that realistic to medieval fantasy. I also love that in TW3 every monster you hunt has a story and lore around it. You don't need to kill it all the time to fulfill a contract. There's so much more in this game and the story blew me away together with the world building and the god tier music. Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine were the best story DLCs in gaming history. Cyberpunk 2077 has the same spirit but the execution wasn't the best. I wish all the best for CP2077 as it has the same spirit and potential as TW3

    1:49:45 - Absolutely, for me, the saddest, emotional and intense moment of the entire story. I cried every time i played, and i am at the 5th run, I still cry finding Ciri after all research, seeing her dead on the bed, but after a little time, seeing her return alive, and the memory of the first meeting between Geralt and Ciri in Brokilon… The story of Geralt of Rivia, from the first Book to the 3th game, is one of my favourite fantasy story, with Lord of The Rings and Chronicles of Narnia.
