My Grandmother, Eileen ( Maisie) Wills lived here when her father was the Head gardener and her mother was the Head chef back in the early 1900s. She passed away several years ago at the age of 107.
Had a wonderful visit a few years ago if you are in the area make an effort and visit you will not be disappointed it's a house that you say to yourself yes I could live here.
I can't read all of the hand written notes seen at :46, but the first bit, "Do not use anything which you do not know to be useful or think to be beautiful...." is actually a quote from the writings of William Morris, not Oscar Wilde. Wilde borrowed it for his lectures.
