MASSIVE SPOILERS Edelgard Route Final Boss Duo Cheese and Ending Fire Emblem Three Houses 4K

- THIS VIDEO AND ITS DESCRIPTION CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR FIRE EMBLEM THREE HOUSES. YOU WERE WARNED.
I stand corrected on my correction of all things. Turns out we had it backwards. The TRUE hidden route is Edelgard's, not the Church because it is a hassle to unlock.
You fight Rhea, the Immaculate One alongside Edelgard. After what happened earlier I decided to train Edel in addition to just Byleth and boy did it make this fight easier. It is worth noting the fight is easier because you are at a shorter path and so the level is overall a bit lower.
I love how you remove the Crest from your heart and become a regular person again but that does not happen the other time you kill Rhea lol

You know out of the three lords edelgard is probably the least traditional lord, yet her final boss is the most traditional.
Agreed, she's pretty much a Rudolf Archetype turned into a playable Lord, and yet, her Final Boss is ANOTHER Dragon.
@@GaeaRage0798 a dictator lord that doesn't stroke to dragon pussy and dragon dick, that's a new one.
@@cbbblue8348 yes and I wish Dorothea was an black eagles who can lead than elegurd I kinda hate elegurd as an boss but come on guys also reason why elegurd should not lead In my opinion why because one u don't get so much support conversation with her than other units so Nintendo if ur listening make an update and fix the choices why I want Dorothea to lead once why u have to let elegurd lead for half the part one
If you dont side with her you still fight this boss
@@vrexion1023 no you don't. Other routes have Rhea as an ally.
"I used the Crests to destroy the Crests"
“It nearly killed me, but the work is done”
“I am inevitable!”
Dmitri: I think you’ll find OUR will equal to yours.
Edelgard: Our?
Rhea: Let’s kill him properly this time.
Seiros: You took everything from me!
Rhea, in her final act, killed the one thing she wanted to revive all this time.
Irony.
She killed irony
She indirectly killed her mother by instigating a final showdown with her mother’s vessel.
Ironic indeed.
"It seems that, in your anger, you killed her."
It makes no Sense Why Byleth Lost The Crest. I see they were trying to carry out the concept of humanity but was poorly executed
Matt Pac
He simply lost the crest stone, it returned to the sword of the creator.
I like how this is the only route that Byleth got his heart finally beating. Edelgard may be a villain in other routes, but this is the great reward of playing Crimson Flower.
Agreed, the ending of Black Eagles feels the most rewarding yet I find it disappointing you can't recruit the other lords, the other two Blue Lions exclusive characters and the monastary staff. In all other routes you have to live a neverending life I suppose, as Byleth is one with Sothis.
@@hoshueyeplopper4465 you can recruit from other houses in BE routes. When you choose to side Edelgard, the Church people you may have in your team, will leave. There are some special cases though, like Shamir.
In the other routes is also impossible to recruit other lords, but the church people will stay.
But you're right, that's still dissapointing, and also, is the shortest route :(
What's the reward of having your heart beating exactly ?
Sure when he was young he lacked human emotion but the fact that Byleth regains his emotions as he spends time with heis students shows that that was only a minor "issue" that resolved itself.
There is no actual downside to having Sothis' creststone heart fused to his heart, in fact, considering Byleth is pretty sad when Sothis "leaves", this is really just taking away a lifelong bond he held.
Meanwhile, this ending doesn't actually resolve anything, cause the real evil mastermind group is (specifically said even) still around anyway.
All you really did was reunite Fodlan into a single government (which isn't even inherently a good thing anyway) and kill someone who spend thousands of years protecting and guiding Fodlan, and doing WAY more good than bad
@@bmombaerts The reward is nothing that it's beautiful for me. That's it.
Remember that each path, the perspective matters. Edelgard was clearly manipulated and she doesn't have all the picture. But seeing her, leaving the throne and leaving a better Fodlan is satisfying. From Crimson Flower point of view is satisfying.
Also, notice that if you get S rank with Sothis, you realize that she's still within you.
The thing is that Rhea goes crazy in this path and in other paths, Edelgard is the one that goes crazy. The good influence of Byleth is well represented in Crimson Flower.
I don't know, I just simply like it.
H enryuuki My dude you should try to understand more the concept of humanism. You’re confused with happenstances like emotions and bonds with actual growths DESPITE of the obstacles.
And don’t conflate flesh and blood with deities. Dragons in this universe are notoriously psychotic after existing for eons for various reasons ranging from boredom to mental breakdown. This conclusion is thrilling and cathartic because it entails real changes with real growth.
Looking back to when Edelgard killed Dimitri in the former chapter, she was fooling herself into believing she was unable to cry, but Byleth apparently dying was what pushed her into tears because she thought she lost the only person who not only placed their faith in her but was another person she loved that she was unable to save. It was touching how this route ended with Edelgard crying tears of joy when she realised she didnt lose Byleth.
Yeah, one if the biggest character details for Edelgard is that she has lost everyone she cared about from her childhood. Her mother was exiled from the empire soon after she was born, her uncle was bodysnatched by the Agarthans' leader, all 10 of her siblings died in front of her (slowly and brutally, I might add), her father succumbed to his illness (likely during the timeskip), and her childhood crush was driven insane, became obsessed with killing her, and when she finally remembered him, he was already dying.
Byleth is the only family she has left at this point, and the one who reached out for her, & defied his fated path to save her soul.
Her entire arc revolves around trust issues and she finally found the person she trusted most. She’s constantly misunderstood by people who played other routes first
@@fukunaga-kane
Constantly is correct.
I can't go 1 day without seeing people having rage debates over false information that they received from the other routes. And when I try to point out what they got wrong, they accuse me of being a simp.
@@fukunaga-kane
Edelgard is a character where you really have to put things together to understand her.
That makes her an even better character.
I picked black eagles first and found this route by pure chance. Honestly amazed at how much she was in love with the MC. Signs were there for awhile.
Loving someone and being in love with them are two different things
@@r.r815 I get what you are saying but after playing the route, the support convos, and ending I can easily make the argument that im right.
@@fallenscythe if you were right then edelgard wpuld never marry anyone but byleth in her endings, or they wpuld have just auto paired the two if edelgard is so head over heels in love
@@r.r815 not really because Byleth is your character your choices. It's a similar situation to felicia back in fates. She straight up tells the MC in a support convo everything she does or has done is because she loves him. If you go through with it or not is your choice.
@@fallenscythe yeah she loves byleth, not necessarily in a romantic way
This route sounds like it could produce a dlc story with Edelgard dealing with Those Who Slither.
Or just S Support with Edeli anyway.
@@Lemuel928 there is
Would be really nice, because from the endings that I have seen, this one should really get an additional Part or bonus Chapters or something like that. To be fair: I only just got this Ending today and the other three endings I just saw the ending cutscene. So maybe all should get them. But this ending built up a fight with Those Who Slither, but only tells it to you in the epilogue.
Never thought they would actually fight Giant Snake People made from Greek History.
@@Lemuel928 lol
I can't get over how good this voice acting is. The whole game, Edelgard just sounds so real.
I agree her english voice is way better than her japanese one.
Tara Platt FTW
DnDn-f yeah the Japanese sounds like a generic waifu. In English you can hear her emotions with the slight inflections in her voice. It’s pretty crazy imo how much better she is in English. Her voice reflects who she is better imo.
@@dndn-f2531 I honestly hated the English ones... Went Japanese from the start. The acting is a lot better imo vs the English
@@morriganrenfield8240 Yeah it's your opinion dude i noticed some of japaneses voice got a bette quality than english one, like Sothis.
I love japanese voice but it's seems a lot of people saying japanese voice are better than english one just because it's japanese. They do not give any arguments.
What really got me about that scene that Edelgard was crying when she thought the MC was dead. I remember her mentioning in some of the support convos she has that she doesn't cry anymore (because the Edelgard that used to cry is gone - something among those lines) and to see her cry? Sob as she holds tightly onto Byleth, the only person she loved with her whole heart? man, i shed a tear.
(and to see her happy.... :') sure made my heart ache. best girl. best girl.)
To be fair, she also cried for Dimitri's death.
Yeah dmitri too after she realize who he is and what drive him insane, in dmitri ending she did smile at him and "returned" his dagger. Sadly she died holding her ideals to the bitter end and for honoring those who died for her cause
@@mitodrudito5806 Well, Edelgard also fulfilled what Dimitri told her to. To forge a path that she believes in, like you said, she died with her ideals and the path she believes. It's really beautiful how all it connects
Just beat this path today.
Seeing Edelgard so happy about your heart beating gives me life.
I will always play Crimson Flower Route! I am currently playing it! I've finished it 4 times!
@@Arkensius1157 fr crimson flower only
After seeing the final cutscene again, it definitely feels more like a "to be continued" rather than a concrete ending like the others. I'm really hoping they seize that opportunity and create a few bonus chapters covering Edelgard, Byleth, and Hubert's fight against Lord Arundel and TWSITD, because Crimson Flower feels too short and a bit unsatisfying without it.
Send Help I don’t remember if Jeritza was released when you posted this comment, but it seems very unlikely now that he is released. Jeritza and Byleth’s S support has them fighting the Agarthans in Shambala. They would also have to change a lot of S support convos in this route because they mention taking on twsitd. And some of the end cards that mention fighting them. I also feel like they would want to create something more unique for DLC instead of extending a route. Unless it was a free update that would be cool. I might be wrong though, that’s just my prediction.
Completely agree but as you prob know they did not.
It's frustrating how this game sold gang busters but refused to make dlc to finish the crimson campaign.
I’m so mad at myself to just now realize in edelgards ending, the thing on byleths heart was supposed to be in the sword. When you find the sword someone says ‘it looks like the crest is missing’ or something like that.
If you play Golden Deer or Church route, you find out a lot more like why its even inside Byleth to begin with.
Cool Dude69 yeah I’ve just recently gotten to Blue Lions time skip. However I’ve started GD at the same time
Does that means that Sothis is dead?
Amnora Twili that or maybe she idk...went to some sort of ‘spirit realm’ thing
Crqzy Anime i hope so because I love Edelgard’s path but at the same time, I love Sothis and I don’t want her to die

Ironically the other routes tell you that Edelgard is a ruthless emporer who conquers everything, yet in the end she ended monarchy, a manipulating church and class system. Also Byleth actually gets to be the human they were supposed to be, they probably can feel now too and are able to live freely. Edelgards way may be the best for the people and the country long-term. I adore her.
Actually in all routes you can achieve that so it really isn't much. Even under the Church route would see Rhea replaced with either Byleth or Seteth. (Who from his supports is actually one of the best Church people with the most level head) and a new era of improvement from the ashes of this war. Add the fact that from Seteth supports he actually doesn't put high regard on ones Crest seeing it as nothing more than a connection to someone from anlong time ago and that you are who you crest or no crest and either route actually works.
@@arnowisp6244 exept all of the results of the other routes are based on edelgard declaring war. Once thats done, it doesnt matter wich country unifies fodlan, they all achieve peace through war. They were forced on this path by edelgard (and in fact mostly rhea's lies) , but facts are facts.
Pop Khorne but do you really need a united fodlan, when you had peace for over 1000 years? They should and kill those who slither in the dark and thats it. No need to start a war like El
@@A-Wa you really didnt pay attention to the issues of fodlan right ? You forget crests bringing misery ? Nobles abusing their power, like ferdinand's dad ? The church imposing dominion on all, wich for some is bad and for some is fine .
Pop Khorne the problem is not the crest but humans. not every noble is shitty but there will be always humans who will abuse their power or any new governmental system. It rlly doesnt matter. if crests doesnt matter then something else will like money. to me eldegards new empire is the same. if she dies and the new emprior is evil then he will abuse is power too and start war with bridges or any other country
The main fire emblem theme near the end is amazing
Edelgard wants people to chose any path they want and they don't have to be tied down with nobility and crests
Dimitri all he wants was revenge and he has to learn to let things go and learn to be human
Claude surprised me him being king and being genuinely a nice guy who actually gave a damn about freedom to worship and equality and also learned both mistakes from Edelgard and Dimitri and he can better himself by not making those mistakes from learning from others
Edelgard killed Jeralt (and thousands more) and takes no responsibility for it. Claude has the best route because you get to kill that bitch personally
hairy abomination you kill her in blue lions too lmao

Man, what Rhea says here sends a chill down my spine. Almost sounds like something Dracula from Castlevaia would say to the Belmonts or something.
Dracula: You humans are the ones who betrayed! You betrayed me, and you betrayed my wife!
Julius Belmont: I did not betray you or her. But I know you betrayed someone yourself long ago...And his name was Leon Belmont!
God when you put it like that it, just makes the already sad story even sadder. I feel bad for Rhea in the same way I feel bad for Dracula (that Netflix show does not mess around). But alas, their questionable actions does end up forcing us to go down this path. Even still, it doesn’t make our goals any easier.
And I could totally see that exchange between Dracula and Julius 😍
What if you wanted to go to heaven
But god said
*”Take this!”*
Seros you mean. Its really weird she even puting a distinction between her to way of tinking tho.
SO
Edelgard & Dimitri route based on revenge, misunderstanding and the"ain't afraid to do shits against the law since I'm the law" kind of thinking. Both can go batshit crazy if teacher ain't there
rhea got the mad dragon disease, also revenge & mommy issue

@@astridms3311 It was meant as a joke to the fact that you can't have a gay support with him
I wouldn't call Edelgard's situation "misunderstanding", she's well aware of her goals, her enemies and the blood she will have to spill in order to create her ideal world. Ends justifies the means and all that. Revenge also takes a backseat since she actually works together with the people who tortured her and killed her siblings for the vast majority of the story
Dimitri is definitely more revenge and misunderstanding; he blames Edelgard for his family's death (when in reality it was caused by Arundel's illuminati organization) and is prepared to do whatever it takes to exact "justice". He's less of a deliberate anti-hero (like Edelgard) and more of a victim of circumstance. He does end up escaping his dark side at the very end of his path, although I feel like he's the least intelligent of the lords since he gets played like a damn fiddle in every path
I do wholeheartedly agree with the teacher point though; Byleth really brings out the best in whoever he sides with
Except for Claude. Claude is crafty af and is the only son of a bitch who survives all 4 routes. Fear the Deer!

@@dice5709 I in normal conditions would be ready to fight. HOWEVER, I can't fight a fellow Link main.
This stage was worse than hell itself I can't believe I managed to beat it with everyone still alive.
You've got fire, fliers coming every second, Cyril critting every two seconds against your units, and Rhea not wanting to dir
I had a rather crazy ending. I was trying to bait out Cyril before going in on Rhea, and he wouldn't respond, while meanwhile the rest of the map's troops were marching in (including Ashe, who I wanted to avoid killing). Eventually, they were in range of Lysithea and would've killed her, so I decided to say fuck it, either win in one turn or divine pulse.
I got to the point where The Immaculate One was down to one health bar, but I only had one move left, on my dancer. I decided to go for the conclusive finish with Edelgard, but she needed a crit. She didn't get it.
And then Alois pops up behind her and lands the kill.
That was the first time I had an adjucant attack unit actually attack in the entire game (usually my units would one-shot anyways), and I'd actually left the default adjucants on accident. The most epic accident I've ever had.
I stormed in the middle way with everyone. Ignore everything on the outside, and only act when they come in attack range. Let other commanders come to me. It’s challenging indeed. But I find grouping up your characters work much better than spreading out in this map. Since there’s a lot of unnecessary fights coming from everywhere. Also, my Shamir one-shotted Cyril, lol. Fuck that kid.
@@Thaibiohazard123 Yep out of all Characters Cyril is my least favorite, The little shit can die in a fire.
Gameboynitro 9 bro I sides with church and it even worse. I gave up and gonna do a different route
The look on El's face when she thinks the MC is dead shows how much she cares about them. The MC followed her this entire way and never had any wavering support, she clearly was deeply in love with them. The look on her face a few seconds brings me lots of joy though, her and the MC were made for each other and I'm glad she is so happy
The sight of Byleth's hair and eyes returning to their normal colors is honestly one of the most cathartic scenes in the game, the music that plays as it shifts back is really moving, and conveys a sort of freedom being bestowed upon Byleth as if as the fucked up and obsessive control that Rhea has over them is over at last, and they're free, like the rest of humanity, to tread their own path.
Edelgard's reaction when she thought that byleth was dead was heartbreaking. I wonder if she loves her teach even if you don't do support conversations with her. Because it seems obvious that byleth is someone very important to her.
EDIT : wow my comment reached more than 15O likes ! thanks you for that ! and there is some big discussion down here ! I think we can agree that crimson flower is best path !
I think that's the implication. I mean I don't see anyone else drawing portraits of him in secret outside of support conversations.
In the alternative route where you go against her and end killing her, she tells him that she wanted to walk the same path together with you before you end up killing her mid sentence. Clear as day she loved the professor regardless if he was with or against her.
@@DevilHunter1994 i forgot that one lmaooo
She fell in love with Professor-kun after he decided to side with her against Rhea.
She blushing around him, she doesn t use the word ''friend'' to describe their relationship
She draws severals portrait's Professor-kun etc..
Yep. She really loves him/her - Byleth was always there for Edelgard and supported her decisions, and after Rhea told Byleth to murder her, they just simply chose to not do it, even thou Edelgard knows the connection between Rhea and Byleth to some extend. Yet Byleth protects her and promises to stay by her side. Noone else really did that in her life, aside from Hubert - but I think its something else in his case, since hes practically some sort of "servant" of her, since he technically gave up his entire life for her. With Byleth thou its a bit different... it's also really heartbreaking, when you consider how many people she already lost in her life.
the part at 7:37 always gives me chills... the way edelgard’s eyes widen tells me that in that moment she realizes byleth dies because she and he killed rhea. obviously el wouldn’t have expected this outcome, so her shock and tears are very humanizing for her character. especially since shes always so stoic in the main game. probably my favorite route ending for this reason alone. it made me really appreciate her characters dynamic with byleth
You know this ending cutscene seems to be the most eventful even had the cool version of the main theme , and had the music and cutscene that goes into the character’s eye
You know what? I can't bring myself to hate Rhea. Knowing her backstory, I can't hate her. What happened to Sothis is monstrous and she just wanted to bring her back. Now... I can't bring myself to hate Edelgard either... so.. I'm confused.
Finalstar you and I both. I’m moreso on Edelgard’s side but I regard Rhea as neutral instead of bad.
I could sympathize with her a bit at the end of GD (my fist route) because of her sad & intersting backstory and she was about to die, but even after that, I found her doing VERY questionable (trying to bring back a dead person is always very questionable for me) - other than that, I found her a nice and... creepy pope at Part 1 of the game who paid me every month and I never felt a deep connection between her & Byleth, so I was meh about her ...until I played BE-CF and man, she was such an amazing antagonist, I loved the way how she got insane and fighting against her in chapter 17 of CF as Seiros was one of my highlights of the game for me!
Ironically, CF made me like her character more - SS, in the other hand, failed me to like Rhea more since she was irrelevant most of the time in the route.
Rhea did terrible things. But if you S-Rank her in the Church route, she does feel horrible about everything she did and does choose to make amends.
Wow I'm the opposite, I can't bring my self to like her, i understand her motives and why she is the way she is but i just can't. Maybe if she didn't hide what she did to byleth in white clouds i would think differently.
Like them both.
When bae secretly loves you but you suddenly get a stroke. GG
What a diverse group of MVPs
see, we have Byleth, Byleth, Edelgard, Byleth, Edelgard, Edelgard, Byleth, etc... super varied, amirite
Imagine Caspar just comes up in a 4 turn battle post-timeskip
For me in Church out was Bernie, Seteth, and occasionally Sylvain. Lol
For me in Blue Lions mine kept swapping between Ingrid, Felix, Lyisthea, Byleth, and Dmitri. With Lysithea and Byleth bring the most common. Also Sylvain managed to slip in twice.
I think Togami played with only Byleth and Edelgard most of the time according to the statisctics in general. Also everyone ends up alone
0/10 didn't spam Raging Storm to kill Rhea in one turn.
Spoken like a true Geese Howard.

I have 16 uses left on Amyr and I’m gonna use them all damnit.
I give this cutscene a 100000000/10
By the way, you got a dislike
Don't know what Raging Storm is but it sounds like the kind of thing where someone finds a cheap exploit, makes the choice to use it instead of playing the game normally, and then complains that the game is too easy and leaves a bad review.
This is like a SMT levels of complex morality.
I laughed really hard at the image of Edelgard just chucking an axe at the dragon

Same for me dude xdxd
How is it secret?
Mega Milk It requires the most hoops to jump through, but Edelgard and the Black Eagles are so popular even with those hoops the Edelgard route is still the most popular route.
Byleth gaining humanity in exchange for Sothis' life is so bittersweet and makes my heart hurt so much. ;_;
It doesn't have to. You can still S support Sothis in this route and when you do she explains that although the crests are gone, her soul is now completely joined with Byleth's. So she's still around. If you S support her then she comes to see you. If you don't then she just remains unseen.
It's just bitter if you ask me.
What's the point of "gaining humanity" when not having it is specifically shown to not actually be an issue for Byleth ??
Sure, if Byleth had remained the largely emotionless husk he was said to have been for most of his life then i'd get it, but we were already shown that isn't the case, since once he starts teaching in the monastry he starts showing emotions like normal.
The only somewhat "win" out of this is Byleth's hair turning back to the better color
@@bmombaerts Well as a demigod he has a heavily extended lifespan, meaning he'd outlive all of his loved ones and have to watch all of them die eventually. As a human, he would likely have a normal human lifespan. So, he wouldn't have to live centuries without the people he loves most.
DevilHunter1994 Unless you marry Flayn/Seteth/Rhea. They all have extremely long lifespans, probably the same as Byleth.
@@firebluetoad3990 True, but that requires jumping headfirst into incest pairings. I mean Rhea is basically Byleth's grandmother So, marrying her, or any of her relatives feels pretty weird.
For some reason every time I hear the epilogue music to fire emblem three houses, I get goosebumps. Perhaps it is because that music captures the feeling of seeing your accomplishments in helping fodlan.
I just found it cool that my run was perfectly in line with the cutscene. Man this was epic.
I just beat this game for myself, and I came really close to tears on multiple occasions. The final boss is incredibly challenging, but also incredibly satisfying. And I love that, at the end, they tell you what everyone did after the war. It's so satisfying seeing them all achieve their dreams.
After seeing this route before the churches and Dimitri, I actually sort of see Edelgard actions as justified in a way.
Her sibling and other nobles were tortured for the sake of bringing Rhea’s mother back, resulting in them dying and her hair becoming white.
(Ah Wait the church didn’t do this, it’s those who slither in the dark Woops , sorry)
I’m also thinking was war the only way to stop the church? Perhaps there are others but it would probably take too long rather than a war?
But I also doubt her for causing so many casualties...
On the case with Dimitri, it’s sort of a misunderstanding of who killed who. (I forgot who killed his family) but it’s not Edelgard. He was also naturally a bloodthirsty person for battle so contributing that would make him really mad at Edelgard, constantly wanting her to die.
Byleth here is like everyone’s mental stabiliser (except Claude tbh) , if one does not have a Byleth, from my perspective, they just became desperate and crazy (in a way like not everyone is Rhea crazy)
I used to be very conflicted with Edelgard but now I just see she needs someone close to reassure her like Byleth, Rhea and Dimitri (and Claude) likewise.
I’m just now wondering, why is it such a hassle to get this route and ending.
If I missed anything or you have an opposing opinion to me, feel free to correct or explain.
Edit 1: And I forgot about that Edelgard is the Flame Emperor 😂 She seems like an atheist extremist but VERY extreme.
She’s doing this for a good cause but her methods are questionable, probably due to the church’s severity of the experiments done.
Dimitri does scare me with his psychotic sanity and Claude... well he seems alright.
Rhea though... She just really misses her mother but what she did is very horrendous to just bring her back.
Edit 2: Thanks Fumi for explaining for me what happened to Dimitri’s family
Now I am seeing that I am stuck in a cycle of whose actions is justified in a way but I will probably close it as to who really started this chain of war. (Most probably Nemesis as he’s the one who killed Seiro’s people first)
(I don’t mean it rudely for my next paragraph)
It’s all almost comes down to human error (for Seiros and Rhea probably degeneration of being a dragon/manakete), everyone almost acted out on either emotions or strong beliefs or sometimes pure hatred and revenge.
Edit 3: I do understand why people would say Edelgard is inexcusable for her actions since it is... done by a questionable method but here’s a thing i want to ask: what if Byleth was not here at all?
He/she appears (to me) to be like a mental stabilizer (idk how else to write it out). On Dimitri route, he appears to be more calmer than how we sort of see him in this route. On this route, Edelgard would of probably killed Claude if you weren’t there but she awaits YOUR decision wether or not to kill him. On the church’s route, Rhea is not setting fire to literally everything as we have seen in this video.
Also thanks for the likes! Wow it’s a lot and I spent a lot of analyzing here, and thanks to everyone talking about their opinions here and nitpicking some errors/confusion I made!
Edit 4: you know what? After looking more into the routes, disregard everything I said.
Edelgard is a very extreme person and her creating war is very very morally concerning. She is evil with her methods and her reasoning.... is mostly about revenge.
Dimitri (I think) has a more traumatising past as he has survivor’s guilt and ptsd where he have hallucinations.
Rhea.... well the replies here said it all there.
With Claude, I think he may have the more better ending in a way.
Edit 5: I saw an interesting reply which was : If Edelgard did not start the war, non of the ‘peace’ ending would not happen.
Now that I think about it, IF there was still no war, TWSIND would still do their horrible experiments, Rhea will still have her influence over the land even though it’s false. No one will know the truth (except the victims) and people will continue to suffer because of crests and nobility etc.
Edelgard is still my favorite character, despite her morally questioning actions because (my opinion) she is very well developed as a character that makes her human. (Not like some perfect being who makes the perfect decisions)
Yes, it was disturbing knowing that she planned EVERYTHING from the beginning of the game but she is doing this for a good cause.
Also thanks for pointing out my mistake about the church doing the experiments, I meant TWSIND 😅
It’s down to what everyone thinks is right or wrong, I think Edelgard did save future generations from suffering the same way she did and starting the war was ultimately the way for either of the endings we get in the game to happen.
I sort of understand why she needed help from TWSIND because we see how successful the attack on the Monastery was with the beasts. Those soldiers against Rhea? Wew they are dead right away.
And it was a matter of time for Edelgard due to her lifespan being shortened because of having two crests.
Shadow ah that makes a lot of sense now. Thanks, it also shows how much she does care for people, not exactly like a villain, more like an anti-hero/villain?
There's only golden deer remaning
Shadow I might be a bit biased since Edelgard is my favourite Lord 😂 but yeah it is all to do with everyone perspective.
Imagine if Byleth was not there at all, imagine all the chaos...
Sabrina Something lol it was at Edelgard’s mother’s request that Cornelia slaughtered Dimitri’s family to see her real daughter again, so if people justified Edelgard’s invasion, Dimitri needs to be excused too.
If Rhea was petty, the same could be said for Edelgard’s mother. It’s just an ugly cycle where Edelgard decided to pull the trigger and slaughter people. Rhea/Seiros’s people was also slaughtered by Nemesis too.
Shadow No one is a hero indeed, but Edelgard and Snakes incited the entire thing with Dimitri being the biggest victim of all

And the music that plays for the narrator announcing what happens before the epilogue starts, when edelgard unifies all of fodlan. It is beautifully composed.
Imo, what woulr've made this route even better, would be, instead of losing his powers, Byleth just dies. It would be really interesting seeing how Edelgard reacts to her biggest supporter dying, seeing how dimitri losing Dedue broke him, I wonder how Edelgard would cope
Agreed there. I can't help but feel awkward seeing Edelgard showing feelings of love after she made so many people die in despair and hatred, like feelings don't matter at all. Dimitri's death scene was atrocious.
This is why I think you should play Crimson Flower last.
Because this ending is goddamn satisfying.
@Alex Boo yes actually.
So does this mean you lost your connection to Sothis?
Yep, the little crest in his heart was his connection to her. Now that it’s gone, sothis is as well.

...The few? Statistically speaking most people choose Black Eagles house. Or do you mean the Edelgard-specific path as opposed to the Church route? I think a lot of people didn't know how to get the Edelgard-specific route and accidentally ended up with the Church route... either way Black Eagles as a house is in no way the minority.
Kain Hagen nope. People did surveys and black eagle was the leasts picked. It was Blue lions follow by Golden deers.
@@lukestarford7608 In game the most deployed units throughout most of the campaign are edelgard and most black eagle squad plus lysthia. Doesn't show either one of the main characters. Could be inferred that black eagles house was the most chosen.

In my head at 7:34 when edelgard tries to hear the teacher’s heartbeat I imagine she had a hard time considering her hair in a bun and even her crown getting in the way also not to mention of how thick the teacher’s clothes are
Best ending imo, however this game really shows the difficulties of war, there is no real indefinite right here. Rhea just wants her mother back but did horrible things to achieve such, and Edelgard wants to create a more fair playing field but had to work with terrorists to accomplish her task. I still think Edelgard is more justifiable tho.
I agree. Rhea's backstory makes her sympathetic, but I would her motives are the least altruistic of the four faction leaders and for me that makes her difficult to side with over any of the three lords. All of three lords are alike in that they do what they do because they believe it will lead to a better world for all. They have different ideas on how to fix the problems of the world, but they're all working toward that goal of a better tomorrow. Rhea really just seems to want her mom back and that's pretty much it. It's an understandable motivation, but also an entirely self serving one.
While claude unites nations and does equality while defeating nemesis
@@marshscarf7467 ssshhh, you need to learn that the BE fans don't play the other routes for some reason.
@Caio Coelho he unified Fódlan despite that, TWSITD was just the "True" evil that needed to be cleansed.
@Caio Coelho I don't get what you're trying to get at? Claude didn't want to beat Nemesis until he was revived because he didn't know anything about TWSITD until he got a letter from Hubert. I don't remember Claude ever mentioning he wanted to beat TWSITD until they were brought up in Chapter 20.
So this route was the last route I played. Did it on Maddening Classic New Game+. I finally made it up to Rhea with no one dead and managed to get rid of Cyril with no major problems. A lot of unfortunate bad luck happened and I had to sacrifice Bernadetta to Rhea in order to make sure my more damaging units could stay alive as I ran out of divine pulses. Rhea was on her last sliver of health and Edelgard was able to hit her two times and live through Rhea’s two attacks to win the fight. However, Rhea had a 60% chance to crit during that fight. I had no other real solution as Catherine and Gilbert were in range to attack my other troops (I avoided them during the map), so I just yolo’d it and went for it. THE CRAZIEST THING is that Edelgard had a 6% chance to crit AND CRIT ON THE FIRST HIT saying “This is your final battle”. That experience is now one of my favorite video game moments ever and I love this game so much
ObM
You sacrificed Bernadetta? Why not Caspar? It’s not like anyone gives a shit about him.
@@maxrichards3881 I didn't use Caspar during the run. To me if you're doing maddening, it's best to just stick with one team rather than constantly switching units in and out as experience is really hard to get on maddening. God i love the animation so much it's beautiful. It ends the the game nicely and Rhea dieing was so satisfying to me because of how crazy she was at the end.

Anyone else lolling at how edelgard checks byleth's heartbeat ands finds nothing? That's bound to come up sooner or later, and you can even mention it in dorthea's C support before you find out from the journal.
I just finished this route yesterday as my first play through, almost did this map first try but I am going to restart since I lost Petra on the LAST TURN.
I was having everyone bombard Rhea one by one. Petra was a heavy hitter so I decided to use her, RNG got the better of me and she fell. With Petra fallen, but with Rhea on her last bit of health left, I had to finish her.
Luckily I have a save before the battle started, so I can do another run where everyone lives.
Honestly, I wish I could hate Edelgard. It would've made playing all the other routes way more easier for me. I just can't though, especially when I see her cry for you. I tell myself shes the one who started the war but then I realize that she has an actual reason (even though she's mistaken about Rhea) and that shes not some blood-thirsty villain. Maybe it's because I'm too soft but It just doesn't make me feel good seeing her die in the other routes even though it should...
Same.
Hey now, it’s totally fine to like Edelgard. Don’t let the voice of a very vocal group guilt you into feeling like you should hate her. Though others like to pretend otherwise, *none* of the house leaders are perfect, and they all have their own struggles. (Though Claude’s isn’t as drastic; he also has his pretty dark moments.)
@@verdantmischief7092 i don't think so. I think op means that they wished it was easier to hate her because she dies every route except black eagles and is antagonised during the game. It took me over 2 hours to beat this level. Constant resetting so my units don't die on classic mode
This is my favorite and first route i picked, yet i criticize it for being so short. I feel like there should have been some sort of chapter involving those who slither in the dark, instead you get exposition telling you it's dealt with. I did the smartest thing during the boss: litterally keep as many enemies alive, so I had to rush the boss or the other enemies would kill me. Top strategy. Ok I played on normal because...I really don't like to play a new game on hard or so, but it was still tough choosing the right unit to win. I had every unit really close to the boss and it took 2 turns...with a lot of luck to be fair on my part.

b) Hubert's VA also voiced Mr. Pancakes himself.
c) Hubert's VA was born in the same US state as Cabbage Boy's VA.

TLDR: this is my favorite ending.
Despite doing this route third (currently post-time skip of the other black eagles route. I’m not done with this game purely because I finally decided to get this game after Byleth was added to smash) I personally feel like this is my favorite ending by far (although I feel golden deer had the best ending story wise, I don’t really like rhea that much.) Ironically, this means that blue lions is my least favorite ending, which is the one I picked first. Don’t get me wrong, I liked that ending, but the other ones so far have been better. Once I’m done with the last route, I’ll edit this (if I remember to) and add how I feel about it.
TLDR for edit: I haven’t been this disappointed in a long time.
Edit: I wondered why I never heard anybody talk about Silver Snow... I’d play both seasons of Minecraft story mode with no breaks twice before I played that disappointment again. The only good thing that came out of me playing that route was azure moon no longer being my least favorite route. It was almost the exact same as verdant wind until chapter 20, the final map was a mess, and just... god. What a disappointment.
To me, all the endings except silver snow are good, and I love the 3 lords, El the most. Rhea I don't exactly hate. She isn't human, she's lived for a long ass time, her life experiences and age contribute to a lot of her fucked up actions. Obviously she shouldn't be forgive for what she does, but it's understandable. El's ending is the best because Rhea is finally put to rest, she doesn't have to hurt anyone or herself again, and TWSITD are completely destroyed. The other lords are well meaning but I'm not entirely sure they had a well thought out plan of saving Fodlan since Dimitri only cared about the stopping the war and Claude didn't know about Fodlan's secrets and was mostly concerned with uniting it with the rest of the world
My ranking is the same as yours but i still need to do silver snow, though i know the basic premis I'm not really expecting much.
