I have the super-rare "yellow" Stormtrooper variant. Not only is he completely yellow, the black paint is largely missing and he has extra swively (loose) limbs. Plus, he comes with factory-original dirt caked into all the crevices of his helmet. I bet I could get a lot for it on eBay.

If I’d kept all my Kenner Toys in their package I’d be a rich man today but I would have lost out on all my enjoyment of playing with them when I was a child
My old school mates dad used to work at palitoy in the uk who made the uk star wars merch,he used to bring him two figures home every couple of days, one for the loft and one to play with.Last time i saw him his dad still has every figure boxed mint condition in a box,not seen the light of day since the rotj era

Kenner could have made a throne for the Emperor with the “trap door” feature, like the Dewback and Tauntaun, so you would just stand the Emperor up in the chair and it would be sculpted to look like he was sitting down.
Could be fun. Would make it look like all that was left of the Sheevster was just his upper half.

We all know what Kenner should've made back in 1980 but never did, the Cloud City/Bespin playset. All we got was the cardboard flimsy Sears version.
I lost my chewbacca in the garden for months. Eventually my dad found it. I remember it all turning green not just the arms.

There’s a store in my hometown I want to dig through their basement. Back in 78 or so it was a hardware store with a sweet toy department in the basement and a LOT of Star Wars display and advertising. I like to think it’s still all down there gathering dust

I have a loose retro Chewie figure I found on eBay a while back and It has the copyright year of 1995 and was confused at first until you pointed out the four pack. Thanks for the info Junkman 👍🏼😎
The classic 4 pack from 1995 was sold here in Australia through Big W which is the Australian version of Wal-Mart
I left my Chewbacca outside on the porch and he sat in the sun and rain for a few days and when I found him he had green limbs. That's how I played with him for the rest of the 80's
So Chewbacca basically turned into mossman lol

My cousins had the fully assembled puzzle of the Millenium Falcon cockpit scene framed and hung up on their wall. This puzzle was huge! My great-aunt (their grandmother) assembled it. She was a whiz at putting puzzles together.

Would of been cool if Kenner re-released the Death Star playset slightly retooled for Return of the Jedi. The Emperor's throne replacing the cannon on the top level, some new cardboard panels showing the under construction exterior. But what to do with the trash compactor, hmm...
I was thinking about combining 3 or 4 of them with the elevators in the center. Can add more gray levels & recreate the landing bay on the ground floor

Shmi Skywalker, Anakin's mother, married Cliegg Lars who was Owen's father. That would make Owen and Anakin step brothers. Thus Owen and Beru would have been Leia's aunt and uncle as well.

My favorite puzzle was the Mos Isley Checkpoint. Any image that had Stormtroopers and / or Sandtroopers captured my attention. I so wanted a set of TK armour when I was growing up.

My old man was a general contractor and he built me a wooden AT-AT before the toy came out. He even put a door underneath so I could recreate the Luke scene from Empire.

sorry, not the ATAT door, that was the door to the landing pad. you would need to run the entire scene to see it, when they turn Luke over to Vader.... Just the nerd in me can't handle that oversight!!!!

I hated those puzzles. They were often a consolation toy since I could “share it” with my brother.

Yeah, I remember seeing tons of those things at TRU in 1996 thru 1997. They may have been released in 1995, but i was stationed in Japan and didnt come back to the US until mid-96. I passed them by every single time.
Some of the best puzzles came from Star Wars.

I didn’t even know about the large-scale threepio and artoo. I had Luke, Chewie and Vader.
One of the major retailers Christmas catalogs, during the ROTJ era, had a picture of 3PO in the Ewok throne with bent knees. Had to be Sears, Best, Wilson's, or Edisons. I know it was just customized but at the time, I wanted that figure.

I lost some of mine in the late 70s early 80s. I wrote a letter to Kenner and told them about it. They sent me a small box of replacements, some of which I didn't specifically ask for, free of charge. God I miss Kenner

I've heard of Mr. Greenlimbs, but I've never heard of a Bespin Luke with grey limbs til I saw it at a comic shop.
I grabbed it just in case.
Ironically, I saw the green limbs Chewbacca in the same display case.
Luke's head sculpt is slightly different, mainly in its hair and eye line.
Is this figure rare??

If a customizer wanted to create that chair for the Kenner Emperor - design it like the Tauntauns / Dewback, with the emperor's sitting legs sculpted in place. Might have to start working on that one!

I got lucky and walked into Wal-Mart this summer and got the whole wave 2 of retro Empire figures. They put out one case with each one in the set (even Boba Fett! Score!) Except of course the exclusive Snowspeeder Luke. Haven't seen em on pegs since. And they were $6! Couldn't believe it.
