I watched winged migration so many times as a child, absolutely my favourite documentary ever!
I remember when I got this movie. There was a yard sale in my neighborhood. This movie was 2$ and I nonstoped watched it. I always wondered what this movie was called, glad I finally found it. It will always be mind-blowing. And recently, my mom even told me she would watch it too
I got this movie before I even went to school! I'm now 20yrs
I watched it for the first time when I was studying animation in university. They showed us the movie so we could learn to draw and animate flying birds. It's been 10 years since then, still love this movie. Always gives me a teary eye

I completely agree! When I watched it years ago on Cable, I was in AWE!!! It has to be the most amazing movie on the Migration of many birds around the world. My renewed search is because my friend & I heard an Owl outside. Two days ago, & the day before I was woken up by Sandhill Cranes in Florida. My friend told me what she thought they may have been. So I searched & got a video of them & their sound.
Then I started talking about this Documentary & I immediately did a search. Now to see if I can find the actual video of the whole thing. Enjoy your video. I hope to find it streaming or maybe here. I’ll keep looking! 😊😊😊

This film is a result of 4 years following their amazing odysseys,

No special effects were used in the filming of the birds.
I watched this one early morning on animal planet when I was a child. It has been a memorable moment since then…soundtrack and all.

It always makes me sad when the old lady tries to feed the cranes and they fly away

So they get shots of a goose unable to take flight. Then they get shots of a boy looking at it through a wooden lattice. They get shots of the boy cutting the netting with a pocket knife to free the goose. They get shots of the goose flying with the netting still on his leg. They get shots of the goose landing and trying to get the remaining netting off his leg (apparently unsuccessfully). Explain to me how the whole nasty thing wasn't staged.
