I love our love/annoyance of jawas as fans! We don't need any deep dive into their culture, we just love how annoying they are and still get excited when we see them.
Disney+ has an 8 episode behind the scenes show about the making of the Mandalorian called GALLERY. The whole series is fantastic and there’s an episode dedicated mostly to the making of baby Yoda from the concept to the final puppet ....ITS AMAZING!!!!!
Because vibroblades vibrate at an incredible speed, making even the slightest glancing blow become a gaping wound, it's totally believable that Mando can kill the mudhorn with it. It was obviously not the first choice for his weapon because it has to be used in close quarters, and it's too dangerous to get that close to the mudhorn...as you saw here. But as his weapon of last resort, why not? :)
I suggest when you finish The Mandalorian, you should watch Gallery: The Mandalorian. It is also 8 episodes, it provides a behind-the-scenes look at how Mandalorian was made and each episode is a different topic (Actors, Directors, Visual Effects, Score, Props, etc).

It's a little odd that they never pay off that moment where Baby Yoda (Yes by now we know his name is Grogu but Baby Yoda just sounds right) tries to heal Mando's arm.
I really enjoy this series. A show you guys should check out is Jeremy Wade's Mysteries of the Deep. Wade was the host of River Monsters. There is some batshit crazy things he finds on that show. Absolutely fascinating!
