- Sky News host Rita Panahi reacts to a transgender runner being booed after crossing the finish line during a race.
“It is a massive slap in the face for those girls who have trained and sacrificed for years to reach that level,” Ms Panahi said.
Ms Panahi discussed the viral video with Women’s Forum Australia’s Stephanie Bastiaan who applauded the Sky News host and the media for spreading awareness about the issue.
The whole world needs to start booing this crap.
Just think of all the guys that dream of becoming a professional athlete but can’t because they don’t have the talent or work ethic, now they can by competing in the women’s league

I can't believe they're THAT stupid, at this point I think they genuinely care about the feelings of men more than women. We women are raised to see each other as competition and we don't have a sense of coalition with each other like men do. Everyone should learn to have empathy for one another and work on how we can help each other with current law inequalities and social attitudes. This new feminism should be about showing love and respect for everyone, not playing the blame game. All it's doing is push people away. Yes we've lived in a very sexist world and we still do. It wasn't long ago at all that women truly were second class citizens. Men need to remember that just because we're almost equal on paper now, doesn't mean that women don't experience discrimination anymore. A Canadian Powerlifting coach set out to prove how utterly ridiculous it is for trans athletes and or people being able to identify however they want was and thus be allowed to compete in the women's competition, by identifying as a woman then competed in that WOMEN'S powerlifting competition because the Canadian Powerlifting organisation's rules basically boiled down to 'We'll take your word for it' so this MALE Powerlifting coach who had ZERO documents of ANY kind to say that he was a woman and had not gone through ANY of the medical procedures needed to become a woman was allowed to compete in the competition and not only won the whole thing but utterly CRUSHED the women's record by almost ONE-HUNDRED pounds, the previous record was set by a trans-woman and the trans-woman had the balls to say that the coach was making a mockery of the whole thing... no he was not he was making a mockery of the rules of the competition.
