    Thank you again for this video! After watching like 10x, I was able to get the confidence it was able to knock it out with my buddy! We performed it on my 2007 Fit with 192k miles. Several of the Exhaust ones we very tight on almost all cylinders. Most intake side was good :) Thank you again for this video, for us GD3 Fit owners! Saved me about $400 :)

      @Jay Yoyo I bought the car used with 190k miles and had no service history of when it was last done. So I went and did it for peace of mind. The car had 2 track days afterwards and no issues so far, still running strong

    • @FujiboHeavy
      @FujiboHeavy Před 2 lety

      @Jay Yoyo there was a sound the car would make on cold starts, in addition to buying the car with mileage and no record of having valve adjustment prior. So symptoms really. The car drove fine with no issues PRIOR to doing the valve adjustment. So no major symptoms. Was done for peace of mind. I don’t work for dealer. Just a regular person who loves cars

    I've been chasing down a misfire in Cylinder 4 and was worried about a valve adjustment. This video definitely made me realize that it's just as simple as the old B and D series engines with one extra step because you have to remove the intake plenum. Great video. Much appreciated.

    Just got myself an 08 Fit Sport a few hours ago. 110k miles, manual, $5,700 :D
    (Would've preferred a 2nd gen, but for that mileage, most in my area were asking over 10 grand for similar conditions. 8 grand for very bleh options)
    Engine is *very* talkative. This will be something I'll be doing in a near weekend. I've done an adjustment on my Accord once before, so I'm comfortable doing a Fit ^-^
    Besides needing at least 2 new TPMS sensors, there was no trouble driving it 80 miles home ^-^
    Top and bottom of the engine and transmission were bone dry. Coolant bright Honda blue, and other fluids were good colors too.
    If I'm not busy tomorrow after church, I'm doing an oil change, and plan to do them every 3-5k miles. MTF change next weekend, when the fluid comes in. Plan to do those every 15-25k miles. (2ish years)
    It's not cosmetically perfect of course, but mechanically it seems sound as heak. Will do a compression test when I change the plugs, to get an idea of the true health of the engine.

    Hey there! Just used your video to do my own valve adjustment on my ‘08 Fit; thanks for the great resource! You made it a much easier process. I’m curious though - The reason that I started the process is because of a check engine light showing a second valve misfire. Went ahead and replace spark plugs and coils while doing the valve adjustment, and the check engine light is still on for a second valve misfire. Do you have any ideas about what could be causing it? It was my first time adjusting the valves like that, but I feel fairly confident that I did it correctly based on watching you.

    I just bought this car and it’s freaking awesome. I only have one issue with it right now. When I cold start the car and put it in gear it immediately dies. Good to know, thanks! I'll also try replacing the PCV valve while the intake manifold is off, as it doesn't click when the PCV hose is pinched off.
