Well for one, it's been proven that women tend to get turned on more by what they read then what they see, as opposed to men, but that's entirely besides the point here.
Fan fiction doesn't have the soul goal of sexual release in mind, some fan fics are just cute and make you gush and awe, some have make out scenes for if you're in the mood to read stuff like that, doesn't mean you gotta masturbate to it, it can just be for fun. But yes some people can most definitely masturbate to words.
I've read "Andley" on Wattpad before and holy crap I can understand why Ashley and Andy think it's horrible. I mean they're good stories just.....ya know.....if they weren't about Andy and Ashley making out.

Hey guys, suppose you had a friend who was like your sibling. You were like sisters or brothers, and they were your best friend. EVER. And then some random kid you don't know goes up pairing you and says how cute you are. They have every right to be disturbed by it because like it or not, they're human too. And it's disturbing when someone pairs you as a couple, mostly in smut, let alone with your best friend. Yes fanfiction itself is sweet, but most of the girls who write it do it because they think it's sexy. Like I said, they are humans, they can say what they want to and think what they want.
Edit: Also, they just made a video about this, and you're trying to find reasons that they're a couple or one of them is gay or bisexual... in a video... that says they find it weird... oh someone just kill me now.
Edit again: Also, even if Ashley did blush when Andy got close to him, it's human nature to get embarrassed or nervous when someone is that close to your face, so take your stupid fantasies somewhere else.

If I were as famous as them I would be encouraging fanfiction as long as the people writing the fanfiction understood that it is a work of fiction they would be writing about. Fanfiction is a type of literature that many people both read and write everyday so even if you don't understand the reasoning of why it is written I would still encourage reading and writing because everything else now a days is unoriginal and fanfiction encourages the creativity of literature.

I took a trip to the Andley tag and it's pretty much just a WALL of fanfiction, edits and pics. I won't be back [because I don't know much about them] but kudos to the shippers and it's great that the guys are seemingly okay with it. I've seen some celebs mock gay pairings associated either with them or their bands/TV shows and that's just not cool. You don't have to understand or even accept it but making fun of fans isn't right so I appreciate Andy and Ashley having a positive attitude towards it.
