Such an inspiration ! So proud 🙏🏻 keep taking it day by day, filling your days with good habits and let the bad naturally repel, that's how i approach it when i feel overly restricted. Try adding something good to your routine (a sadaqa, a prayer, any something positive) rather that focusing on the negative we're "not allowed" to do 🤲🏻 may Allah help you on your journey and give you nothing but more faith and knowledge to spread with others who think the way you used to! Would love to hear the turning points/epiphanies you had in doing your own research that made you want to convert.. all the best 💓

I cried during all 3 parts of your story sister, as a fellow UK revert on my journey I have never felt more connected with an entire story as this. Although I have amazing loving support from my partner, as a woman I have gone through my journey alone from a strong Western culture way of life knowing no other Muslim sisters. I have had my fair share of existential crises in the last 2 years but as you said - you can't ignore the truth once you've seen it. Thank you so much for making me feel less lonely. Emily Rose you are extremely misguided and lacking in information on the pagan arab cult better known as Islam the man made religion. May I recommend Dan Gibson the sacred city film on his CZcams channel theres a good starting point. Islam was established further north in Arabia inbetween Syria and Iraq during the ummayad caliphate abdal Maliks time. The quran hadith and seerah of Muhammad are all latter day forgeries including stories of his so called companions or rightly guided caliphs!. Finally the ka'aba is an idol its a box. Proud ex Muslim all hail the moon god allah who only speaks arabic!

When I told my mum I had become Muslim she literally said “Maddy they will take you out into the bush somewhere and kill you” 😅 and she’s not even religious.. my catholic family who are very religious oh boy.. some of those reactions.. it’s been 7 years now and the dust after the storm has settled, there are family members who are more supportive than others and I’m cool with that.
You said your sister says she has her religion and you have yours, and she’s right.
The Quran actually says for you is your religion and for me is mine
It’s Surah al kafiroon you should check it out :)
I hope this journey gets easier for you. That’s really sad that, that’s how your mum and stepdad reacted but just make dua that Allah swt softens their hearts and keep your head up, learn even more about your deen (religion) and you can show them through your actions and who you will blossom into that you have made the right decision and are on the right path. Alhumduliallah.
Negative comments hurt especially when it comes from people we love but it does get easier to deal with just hang in there ❤️
Take care sister, look forward to seeing you progress on this beautiful journey in Sha Allah.

@@bigphilbanks4283 That decision entirely belongs to Allah the creator. He mentions that several times in the Quran, that it’s His decision who he forgives and whom He punishes. Because he knows what’s in the hearts of people. So we just have to do our best, believe in the truth, accept that it’s His decree why he created us, and why he wants to test us, and who he forgives.
One big promise He does make in the Quran, ... that he will answer all our doubts and differences on that day, and he promises that absolutely no injustice will be done to anyone. And we believe in that, Ahamdulillah!

As muslim woman we face the same Islamophobic stereotypes everyday and the fact that you have to deal with it from the people that are suppose to support you the most is heartbreaking subhanallah. Keep making due for your parents and stay true to yourself and Allah will make it easy on you inshallah

Whenever someone new accepts Islam it's a huge reminder for us who have been blessed with Islam before them and that reminder is that Allah guides whom He wills and if we as muslims do not fulfill the rights of worshiping Him, Allah will replace us with others from the likes we will never expect. May Allah keep us all steadfast on the right path and continue to bless us with the opportunity to be from amongst those Allah chose to put their head on the ground and declare that Allah is the MOST HIGH ❤ and may Allah bless this sister in faith of mine and make her one of those Muslimah's who recite, memorize and convey the Quran❤🙏 May Allah bless her kids and make them muslims who are granted the honor of being scholars of Islam Inshallah ameen🙏❤

Your story was refreshing and something I needed to hear once again. May God reward you for sharing it with us. I'm a revert as well from Canada, and I reverted when I was 17. I am in my 30s now, and I'm a high school physics and chemistry teacher. I am married with two beautiful children and alhamdulillah we are a family that prays together and celebrates Ramadan together. Islam saved me from myself and the destructive path I was once on. Your relationship with your family is priceless and should continue to be approached softly and gently, as that's exactly what Islam is; a soft and gentle thing. May God continue to illuminate your path, may your struggles become a source of strength in the near and distant future, and may God grant you the best of this world and the hereafter. Amen.

Heaven must be earned, one of his name is the Just (wont be fair to others) so, you'll be tested, like the rest of us, one thing can give you solace tough, there is no intermediate, between you n God=Allah and this is what's amazing, one of his other 99 names, is the All hearing. ask him anything, he hears and respond to every1, guidance.. help, perseverence.. your call:)

Arrogance as defined by the Prophet Muhammad SAW is when you see the truth and it becomes absolutely clear to you that is the truth and you still turn away from it. I related to much to you with my reversion. I think the hardest thing for me was what my parents would feel about me. It is so hard to feel like you let those you love down, even if it makes me happy. It can be even harder when they won't even listen to the truth of the religion, but only listen to what they have heard about it on the news and otherwise. It's truly a test from Allah, but at the end of they day we have to keep moving forward in our faith. I will keep you in my most sincere duaas, and I wish you all the best in your journey with Islam x.

That's one of the major reasons people like you and her are shining examples for not just the other non Muslims but also for the fellow Muslims. I consider myself to be inferior to people like you in terms of your devotion and love for Islam. It takes tremendous amount of courage to change the faith and beliefs you have grown up with throughout your life, whilst also knowing that your reversion is also going to put your relations with your family in a twist. I just can't imagine how tough it must be but then if Allah wills, He can guide anyone and make him/her steadfast. I pray for both of you that situation with family becomes better and Allah eases up all your burdens that make following Islam that much more tougher for you people!
The reversion also must become a tad difficult with mortality taking a different shape in the modern world and many moral ideals of the yesteryears changing completely; so much so that if you oppose those/disagree with those changed concepts in the modern "civilized" world, you are immediately categorized as uncompassionate and intolerant. The first issue that comes to mind is that of homosexuality. The modern world has evolved big time to admit and normalize homosexuality but as we know, Islam bans the practice (for good reason of course). So I just wonder how do reverts (especially the ones coming from Western World where acceptance of this thing has been deemed to be a social norm) like you make peace with Islam's stance about issues like homosexuality? I would love to hear the views of @The Unconventional Aussie on that as well!
      Salam Alaikum and stay blessed.

@@SaveezSheikh I grew up a christian, and began seriously practicing about two years before my reversion to Islam. just like islam, there are some rules in place that aren't accepted in todays modern world. its interesting how the "church" has accepted almost everything that is considered a sin/immoral in the Old Testament. it is so centered around being accepted by main stream society and its secular values, that it rarely touches on the fundamental rules of the religion itself. so, it was definitely an adjustment. but just like salah and hijab, I learned that there is a reason for everything. anything that I questioned, I researched and found Hadith and scholars explanations that explained the fundamentals to me. although many people can't admit it, we have been told by society that there is only one way to think, and many believe it is "freedom" and "tolerance". on the other hand I found these values in islam more than I have in the secular western world we live in; but in the places where it truly matters. ultimately I have come to realize that Allah's understanding of His creating is greater than anything I could ever understand, and that mind set helped me accept more "unconventional" values. I appreciate your comment, and I pray that Allah truly blesses all reverts and born muslims in this tough time. ameen! We all have struggles with the deen, and understanding each other will help us over come them as one ummah.

@@jenelle9662 Thank you very much for providing your perspective. Like I said its very inspiring to know stories of people like you and other reverts and it has a positive effect on other fellow Muslims for sure. Would love to know what actually pulled you towards Islam. Have you always been a person who was actively looking for the answers or was it one incident that really turned it around for you?
I think this moulding of religion is what has affected Christianity negatively over the past centuries. They modify it to appease the current traditions and customs so that they don't lose their followers. What actually happens is that people see that the stance of religion keeps changing and it, ultimately causes people to lose faith in the religion and the connection wears off. This is where Islam is different, in the fact that fundamental teachings have stood and will stand the test of times and you can't say that Islam has changed its stance about contentious issues, depending on the practices and traditions of that particular era.
I think somebody like you (I presume you live in a Western World) is best placed to compare the two different ways of life, as you have experienced both. When we tell somebody from the West that Islam is very much accommodating then they tend to view it with skepticism. While somebody like you saying that will hold much more weight as you have actually lived the more Secular or Western way of life and now have adopted the Islamic way.
But then again, like I have said, it's just Allah's ways. I think if a person even tries to find the truth then the doors are opened for her/him. However, if you are stubborn and aren't even willing to delve into the realities of the world then no matter how many convincing arguments you are presented with, you will refuse to believe them.
I live in a Western society and religion really is fast becoming a taboo; especially amongst young people. They don't really have time to even discuss and say that it makes lives tougher with its restrictions etc. which is a bit sad as they are not willing to ponder that those restrictions actually make our lives easier. Being an Atheist is the most progressive and easier thing these days as that will make you look a very educated, tolerant and forward-looking. What it also is doing is making the society here very selfish; they are fast losing the familial values and are more focused on their own well-being even if it comes at the cost of their loved ones.
You people are facing tough times with your parents. I would just advise you to not worry too much about it. Just keep praying for them and let your actions be your spokesperson rather than words, for the time being. I think the least us, the fellow Muslims, can do is to encourage you and other reverts. What sickens me is the criticism new reverts face from moral brigade who acts indifferent to their struggles and wants them to adhere to their definition of 'perfect' Muslims. Women reverts in particular are under the cosh from 'Haraam police' and have to face very dispiriting comments. I just hope that there are enough positive people around you who can make you feel comfortable and don't pull you down with their judgmental comments. I just think you people should be seen as normal Muslims and that reverts tag can also be a bit uncomfortable at times. Sometimes I feel that the born Muslims try to act as the custodian of religion and can make the reverts as if they are a level below them. However, we all need to be considerate of struggles of others, support and learn from each other and adopt a compassionate tone while advising others. These are the fundamentals towards a united and exemplary Ummah.

Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri that while he was sitting with Allah's messenger we said, "Oh Allah's messenger, we got female captives as our booty, and we are interested in their prices, what is your opinion about coitus interruptus?" The prophet said, "Do you really do that? It is better for you not to do it. No soul that which Allah has destined to exist, but will surely come into existence."
      SAHIH MUSLIM, VOLUME 2, #3371
Abu Sirma said to Abu Said al Khudri: "O Abu Said, did you hear Allah's messenger mentioning about al-azl (coitus interruptus)?" He said, "Yes", and added: "We went out with Allah's messenger on the expedition to the Mustaliq and took captive some excellent Arab women; and we desired them for we were suffering from the absence of our wives, (but at the same time) we also desired ransom for them. So we decided to have sexual intercourse with them but by observing azl" (withdrawing the male sexual organ before emission of semen to avoid conception). So Allah, the Exalted, sent down the Quranic verse, "And all married women (are forbidden) unto you save those (captives) whom your right hands possess". That is to say, they are lawful for them when they complete their waiting period." [The Quran verse is 4:24].
HADITH OF THE SUNAN OF ABU DAWUD, VOLUME 2, #2167:
Muhaririz said: "I entered the mosque and saw Abu Said al-Khudri. I sat with him and asked about withdrawing the penis (while having intercourse), Abu Said said: We went out with the Apostle of Allah on the expedition to Banu al-Mustaliq, and took some Arab women captive, and we desired the women, for we were suffering from the absence of our wives, and we wanted ransom; so we intended to withdraw the penis (while having intercourse with the slave-women). But we asked ourselves: "Can we draw the penis when the apostle of Allah is among us before asking him about it?" So we asked him about it. He said, "It does not matter if you do not do it, for every soul that is to be born up to the Day of Resurrection will be born."".

My sister and brother-in-law just had their first newborn this June and simply observing the amount of time and effort they put forth each and every day made me wanna acknowledge the fact that you’ve managed to research so much of this all the while raising your two kiddos. That deserves a serious pat on the back! 🤙

What I’m most excited about is the video of all your initial questions regarding Islam. I think that will be of great benefit to not only those striving to understand Islam better but to the ones raised Muslim as well. A great way to bridge the gap between all the major questions requiring attention and those which have become almost second nature to Muslims and therefore ones we’d never even consider being of value to somebody from the outside looking in. My personal favourite and mathematical/scientific approach of proving the divinity of the Holy Qur’an is its correlation to the “ratio of probability”. That phenomenon alone should be enough proof for the average believer of science.
All in all, congratulations Natasha. 🎉 We’re happy to have you back!... Might be ups and downs in the beginning but at the end of the day, Allah is with you and that's enough. And don’t think for one second that those fire thumbnails went unnoticed. The lights, the pink desktop, I mean one of you is definitely either a graphic designer or a videographer and I’m damn sure those Raid drives in the back would agree with me.😂 Looking forward to future content... insha'Allah ^_^

Assalamu alaykum. MABRUK for choosing this beautiful way of life.Thank you for sharing your story.Reverts stories are a great help for the ones that are looking for the truth.
I am a revert my self, I accepted islam 8 years ago and I rushed into learning to pray and pray since then alhamdullilah,as I did not had much support and I did not want seitan to turn me back from Allah ' s way.I found that the prayer, talking to Allah swt about all everything is the key for finding peace and staying on the right path.My mom is the same like you mom and father in law, she opened a bit but only by the mercy of Allah swt she will open her heart and inshallah accept Islam one day inshallah.I am making dua for that every day.So far she accepted my revertion, my marriage with a muslim, and recently my hijab ( even though she just saw me with it in a picture).
May Allah swt open the heart of all the ones that you love to support you and eventually accept islam inshallah by you being a great ambassador of islam.
May Allah swt bless you and you family.
      Ameen.

As a born muslim we sometimes forget and take for granted the knowledge we have and we get distracted by life, but when I see stories of reverts like you sister, it kind of reminds of the story of our prophete and how much he struggled when he told his family his beliefe in one God Allah! It humbles me to hear of your story.
It takes a lot of courage and strength to revert and live the life you’re destined to live and I admire you for that!
May Allah grant you and your family with a beautiful prosper life and may he open the heart of your mother❤️🙏 keep patient.

May Allah accept your deeds and keep you and your progeny on the right path.

And We charged the human concerning his parents, for his mother bore him in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning was in two years. Be thankful to Me and to your parents, to Me is the arrival. (14)
But if they strive with you to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them. And accompany them in this life with kindness; and follow the Path of he who turned to Me. To Me you shall return and I will inform you of all that you have done. (15)
      And also:
Surely you cannot guide whom you love, but Allah guides whom He pleases, and He knows best the followers of the right way.
Continue to make daily dwaa in your prayer for your mum and dad
May Allah increases our faith and make us steadfast in our religion
I enjoyed your 3 videos and looking forward for more

Subhan-Allah, my wife and I sat down to watch a film or something, and part 1 came up on my recommended vids, and we were really taken by how 'real' and authentic your story is, and it is definitely a motivation for us. Thank you for taking the time to share with us. (We were feeling a bit disheartened that we had to wait until the third part was uploaded, and lo and behold as we finished watching part 2, part 3 was uploaded.)
It is amazing to see how far you've come from contemplating sharing your thoughts with your friends for how they may judge you, to coming forward and sharing your story with the entire world.
Allah bless you, Osman, and your children.

      JESUS CHRIST 2
Isaiah 9:2,6 KJV. THE PROPHECY CENTURIES BEFORE HIS BIRTH
The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. [6] For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
      Isaiah 9:7 KJV
Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end.

      John 1:1-5 KJV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] The same was in the beginning with God. [3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. [4] In him was life; and the life was the light of men
      John 1:10-12,14 KJV
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. [11] He came unto his own, and his own received him not. [12] But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: [14] And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
      John 6:35 KJV
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

      John 6:51 KJV
I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
      John 6:53 KJV
Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you
      John 8:12 KJV
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life
      John 10:7 KJV
Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
      John 10:9-11 KJV
I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. [10] The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. [11] I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
      John 11:25-26 KJV
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: [26] And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
      John 14:6 KJV
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

      John 14:9 KJV

      Acts 4:12 KJV
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
      Colossians 1:16-19 KJV
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: [17] And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. [18] And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
      Revelation 1:8 KJV
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
      Revelation 1:17-18 KJV
And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: [18] I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
      Revelation 3:20 KJV
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

I was 13 when I began to learn about faith. The first thing that I decided was to not equate God with other people in the world. My priority was my faith and the truth not what my relatives and friends would think if me. It took me a long time to understand the difference between a Muslim by conviction and by default. I agree there is no need to rush. Osman has given you right kind of advice. If you're a Muslim (people should stop calling themselves as reverts but just call themselves as Muslims) by conviction that's the most important milestone in your life. What your parents and siblings think of your decisions that are based on logic and the Qur'an, is not important but instead of getting mad at them you should keep calm. Let them see a different person in you after your Shahada.

My English is kinda broken but I’ll try my best. MashAllah, your Part 1 was recommended to me so I started watching it, now I finished all three parts. I’m really happy for you that you found your way to Islam, it’s a blessing from Allah. I’m really thankful that I was born into a Muslim family, so I really admire people like you. I guess since taking the Shahada you’re feeling the happiness in your heart. Keep going like that and if you have hard times in future, always believe in god because he’s the most merciful and the giver of peace. Wish you the best of luck and stay safe you and your family InshaAllah

Hearing your parents reaction I couldn't help but remember your initial reaction towards your husband when he started practicing again.
I strong believe their hearts will eventually soften - after all you are their daughter; I think most of the parents would react the same way as they did. May Allah give them hedayah.
