Big Mom has the battle IQ of a toddler. How many times did she "defeat" Kid and Law, and turn her back to them, only for them to get up and sneak her from behind? She's supposed to be a veteran pirate, but she literally acts like an idiot 99% of the time. That's why her feats are often overlooked and seem underwhelming when compared to someone like Kaido.
I have to agree. As much as I love Big Mom, that is a major drawback of hers. If she had battle IQ similar to Kaido, she’d be even more of a problem than she already is, and would get way more respect from the community

To be fair, Law had to cancel out Mom's devil fruit power just to give Kid enough time to push her out of the island.
She was going all out vs Law and Kid by sacrificing 1 year of her life and stole souls of Beast pirates, it wasn't 1 v 2 since she needed extra souls for Law and Kid, also Law and Kid got power up similar to Zoro and Sanji got.

Luffy also fought thousands of kaidos crew, tobi roppo, etc. Kaido vs Luffy fight was EVEN. They were both extremely exhausted except kaido didnt 'die' 2 times, but luffy did. You can. The admiral is the actually dangerous part of a buster call. Which protects the celestial dragons. And basically every pirate character in the series doesn't have a good relationship with the celestial dragons. The fact that celestial dragons aren't just being killed off left and right is a showcase of the world power & influence admirals have. In the same way that islands protected by Yonkos aren't constantly under attack.
That said, I think the only reason they're trying to take out Luffy right now is because of Vegapunk's knowledge. I don't think they would choose a direct conflict like this in any other scenario against any other Yonko. But if it was Shanks, Black Beard, Big Mom, or Kaido here at Egg Head, I think they would still be trying to kill Vegapunk and destroy Egg Head.

Hence why I say just regular Admirals are not on the same level as a YONKO. Luffy proved that in the latest Manga chapter. I think people are not understanding that Luffy is different. The Gorosei was okay with angering Kaido, meaning they believed they could handle Kaido. But Luffy is just on a different level because of the Nika fruit. He isn't just a Yonko, he's the pirate king. More then that he is the man who will bring the dawn of the world.

To be fair people using the "Shanks stunned an admiral using Haki" I don't think any other admiral is getting shook like that be it Aokiji, Kizaru, and definitely not Akainu, probably not Fujitora either... Due to Greenbulls mentality of wanting praise from Sakazuki like a child, he's clearly still wet behind the ears, a powerhouse? probably, cocky? absolutely we saw that with king and queen's interaction but is he confident in combating a yonko himself? Absolutely not. He said as much when he faced momo in his dragon form and stated "If kaido was still around I wouldn't be here."
The adimirals all have the same bounty meaning they are relative so yes fujutora may of reacted like that aswell
@@tunnelvision7906 See I don't think so, fujitora is much older and battler hardened where as although Greenbull was also recruited in the draft to fill the admirals positions he's young and seemingly has much less combat experience then the other admirals despite being strong himself I just don't see that same mental fortitude that the other admirals have in him.
I'm happy with the general trend of yonko > admiral but I think people are taking this way out of proportion.
1. We already see that Kizaru would not loose to any of the other gears other than gear 5 so Luffy literally has to go his strongest form to beat him. - Gear 5 itself is debateably stronger than any of the other yonko but just has trash stamina.
2. Kizaru vs Luffy already happened and both went down. People are now trying to use a full health Luffy vs a round 2 Kizaru with no breaks. What's worse is that Kizaru has already taken 2 hits now from Luffy when he wasn't concentrated on him and we already know Kizaru is not an endurance beast.
3. It's genuinely absurd to say that 3 admiral are loosing to 1 yonko at this point. Saturn would have gotten the kill on Luffy if Franky didn't move him. Maybe it would be possible if Luffy had infinite gear 5 stamina but as it stands, Luffy is shown relative to the admiral with gears 1-4 and comfortably able to deal with one in gear 5. Add two more and it's simply over for him.

Kaido did say that Haki is really important, Roger conquered Grand Line no devil fruit powers, and Haki can negate the Devil Fruits effects like Law did against Doc. Q devil fruit effects...
So if Big Mom have stronger Haki and utilise her Devil Fruit power well, so may not beaten easily... But Luffy will beat Big Mom...

People keep talking about how roughed up by battle Kaido was, but will completely overlook the even worse beatings Luffy had taken up until that point. Kaido had taken damage from the supernovas and the scabbards, but Luffy sustained all of his damage from two Yonko. These two beatings are not comparable in the slightest. He was straight up knocked out multiple times, and would’ve died had his fruit not awakened. He managed to defeat Kaido despite being almost completely drained of energy, and riddled with what should have been mortal wounds. He went from top yonko commander level to quite literally man handling Kaido within the span of a few hours. Luffy’s attack potency is outrageous, and is why Oda is throwing enemies with top tier regeneration at him. He claps anyone under Yonko level unless they have hax abilities like the Gorosei.

Nah I think it was there to showcase that Luffy is indeed a threat versus Kaido at that point because he knew Ryuo and shouldn't be taken lightly because both kaido and big mom underestimated him. But Luffy at that point didn't unlock conqueror's coating so Big Mom was still stronger. I might even say that Big mom was stronger even when Luffy did unlock it, I think Luffy surpassed her when he awoke to Gear 5

We know that G5 Luffy is incredibly strong. He's working Kizaru and Saturn pretty handedly right now.
That said if you put full health Luffy against a full health Kaido, he's still losing that fight. Kaido is a fucking monster. He beat Luffy 3 times during the raid, he fought a total of 15 relatively strong people in rapid succession with zero breaks, all of this while floating a massive island the entire time. And even after ALL of that, Kaido was still boxing with Luffy in G5 to a fight he would've won had he just dodged instead of trying to tank.
I know there's a handful of people like KOL who think Big Mom > Kaido (lul), but she's not that insanely far off from him. The only factor that could possibly play a part in Big Mom losing is her age, which doesn't seem to be an issue for her like it was for Whitebeard. She's more physically tanky than Kaido, her destructive capability is in the same ballpark as Kaido's Blast Breath with her Ikoku Sovereignty, her DF is insanely busted with a ton of application, she has insane speed and movement options with her homies.

We kinda did vs kizaru. It's implied g5 ran out before offscreen then luffy pumped his heart again and we saw that Punch that had kizaru on his back. I hate oda offscreen most of that fight cause luffy showed signs of being exhausted bro was a raisin till he got food 😂😂

ACTUALLY BEATEN to the point of not being able to transform or move where as although Big mom was injured by kid and law, she was sent flying through a hole in the ground and was silenced by Law's (Corazon mimic'd move) To where she couldn't call apon her homies to rescue her. HAD big mom been on flat ground and not cheated by being sent through a hole in the ground and had her voice silenced there's not a doubt in my mind that Kid and law lose that fight

ZORO is strong and has incredible killing force, but the d-riding has to stop. He beat King. King isn't anywhere near the Admirals. Greenbull is relative to Fujitora and Kizaru--end of story. Zoro is stalemating a character that Gear 5 Luffy defeated with 3 moves while clearly holding back his strongest attacks.
Kid was still able to damage Kaido by literally throwing and punching him. He's strong whether people want to believe it or not. Law gave a good fight to Blackbeard, who in turn is PROBABLY (speculation, so you can clock me for this) stronger than Kuzan. And he also has the ability to damage Kaido (despite Haki's effectiveness against Devil Fruits being a factor).
Despite this, Big Mom was 1v2ing them, and it took everything they had just to get her off the battlefield. Disregarding the bombs + volcano eruption, we all know Big Mom would've been fine, just unable to get back to the fight since she'd need a homie to fly her back up there, and Law disabled her ability to give commands. We don't even know if Big Mom was killed by the volcano, and it would make sense for her to appear at Elbaf for revenge against Kid and the Strawhats.
Point is, Big Mom > Law and Kid COMBINED > Law, who could do battle against Blackbeard.

Big Mom has to be relative to other Yonko for two reasons:
1) Blackbeard would have targeted her devil fruit by now.
2) Kaido would have killed her by long ago.

From everything we've seen of Big Mom most of her kit is useless against G5 Luffy. Kaido put on more of show when it came to hand to hand combat and I think that's the only reason he was able to hang with Luffy at that point. I just can't see Big Mom zipping around and keeping up with Luffy like Kaido in his hybrid form
Edit: I think it's clear Oda WANTS Kaido and Big Mom to be portrayed as equals with how he had them clash, but other than that she doesn't even look like she could hang like that beyond that scene. Luffy vs Kaido is a battle between fruits AND haki while Big Mom vs Kidd and Law was more of a show of devil fruits.

Big mom never used her advance haki vs law and kid but did once on Page1. Kaido mentions haki rules all it could be a personal philosophy thing where certain yonkos use haki to different extents but they all have advance haki.
G5 Luffy could even do somethin wacky or crazy to Prometheus - eating him like cotton candy or throwing him like a baseball/shot putting him far away making Big Mom FAR less mobile

Bro after seeing what they did on punk hazard why do people still think Akainu went ALL OUT in Marineford? We didn’t see and changing to the surroundings at Marineford. Logia’s with destructive capabilities like Akainu and Aokiji can not go all out when surrounded by allies. He’ll even Fuji can’t go all out around his allies. Sengoku had a grip on the proverbial balls of that war. He was not going to let the Admirals fully off leash, he didn’t even let Garp fight because he was afraid of casualties, and we saw the destructive power of Garp. Akainu is definitely yonko level for sure his personality and temperament won’t let him be any weaker. You say he’s a pencil pusher but we saw how Garp got so strong he just punched ships Akainu can still train and be a pencil pusher.
Gear 5 Luffy is the strongest in the series, period. Only thing that I can see him improve upon from now until the end of the show is his stamina, and that will make him surpass Roger. He's basically tanked everything in Gear 5, made clowns out of a Gorosei, Admiral and Kaido and people still doubt his strength. Narratively it also doesn't make sense for Luffy to get another form to fight Imu or whoever is the final boss, since this form is what Oda has been working towards the entire story. So the only thing that he could work on is the stamina issue, and at that point he'll have surpassed everyone in the history of the show.
