@@lucasaviro yeah definitely. It varies from person to person, but I know from dealing with jobber he values older secrets really highly over high priced current stuff. I once tried selling Jobber 3.5k worth of meta cards and he offered me 700 for it. Think Sam might have been hoping for more current stuff

Such a cool collection! The FL cards are from the Forbidden Legacy packs, which were the three OG boosters and a random card (either Blue-Eyes, Dark Magician, or Kuriboh--very expensive sealed these days), and the BPT are the first waves of collector tins that had the characters on the front (like 2003, I think?)
I don't get people saying this wasn't "worth it;" it's a collection, not a set of competitive deck cores, and I get the feeling you're not trying to flip the cards and resell them. I'd say you did pretty well!

The BPT is from the first set of tins. I still have a few of the promo cards from when I was younger and I believe FL1 is forbidden legacies 1, but I may be wrong on that
BPT probably refers to Booster Pack Tin Series Promos, but that only lasted 2002 (BPT 001-006) and 2003 (BPT 007-012). In 2004 the set changed from BPT to CT1, abbreviated for Collector's Tins. In 2014, the annual Tins came with "Platinum Secret Rares" (for 2014-2015) and were 15% larger, adopting the "Megatin" logo, and adding Megapacks (CT11 Tins came with MP14 Megapacks, referring to the year 2014) first introduced from the 2011 Legendary Collection Duel Academy Years that were larger and came with multiple rarities, but the set still continued as CT11 up until CT15 (2018); In 2019, this changed to TN19, but still came with MP19 Megapacks.
TL;dr
So, 2002-03 Tin promos were BPT-XX
2004-2018 Tin promos were CT
2019 Tin promos were TN
2020 Tins had no promos. .. ...
Tin Megapack cards began in 2014 as MP14.
Yes, Forbidden Legacy 1 2005 was a one of a kind "Blister pack" (there was no FL2) that came with one of each of the first 3 packs and one Secret Rare Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Dark Magician, or Kuriboh (these Secrets of DM and Blue-Eyes are appear exactly like the BPT tins, both being non-prismatic from the games, so BPT-003, BPT-009, and FL1-001 were Secret Rare LOB art Blue-Eyes, BPT-007 and FL1-002 LOB art Dark Magician...strangely they chose to reprint a 4th LOB Secret Blue-Eyes in the 2017 Megatin)
I tend to get 2005 Forbidden Legacy FL1 confused with 2008 Dark Legends 1 (there was also no DL2), which I get confused with 2004-2005 Dark Beginnings 1-2, plus there's also the random Secret Rares from 2004-2005 Master Collection 1-2 (Notably Exodia, Barrel Dragon, Thousand Eyes Restrict; Breaker, Envoy of the Beginning).
And let's not get FL1 confused with 2002 FMR Forbidden Memories promos. I think they could have named Gameboy game promos together in hindsight, or even in waves such as the handheld promos DDS/EDS/SDD/TSC/ROD/WC4 and console game promos FMR/DOR/TFK/PCY/PCK/PCJ/DOD and others after (the non-Prismatic Secret Rares, I might start a Prismatic collection one day...)
So it's pretty confusing.

Cards came out to around $2600. Sam and jobber know each other and are friends so he got a better binder than most people would. Happy for both of them. I don't see how sam got ripped off in any form.

generally whoever hit better hand rape on the first turn won that year. Delinquent Duo, Forceful, and Confiscation were all legal at 1. this was pre-goat control, Trinity format. my guess is the 3x fiber helped him stabilize and punish paying LP to the hand rape too much. but he definitely used all his time every duel...I just mained 2 Nobleman of Ccrossout and a couple Spear Dragon lol

I just spent $630 on a first edition: luster dragon MFC, magic cylinder LON and and B. Skull dragon MRD (Faded) all very very neat mint and the cylinder is mint I think. I thought that was a pretty good price! Very excited

Those BPT set cards are from the OG “Booster Pack Tins” so that’s what’s up
A few things to comment on your video:
#1. BPT is Booster Pack Tin. Basically was the first few waves of tins before they made the Collector Tins.
#2. DB1 is Dark Beginnings 1. Huge reprint set.
#3. DR1 is Dark Revelations 1. Basically the same as DB1 in being a huge reprint set. Dark Revelations tends to have cards printed later around the MFC days while Dark Beginnings has stuff around the old school stuff like LOB and MRL.
#4. Yes I have seen all of those cards before. I still have 99% of them.
#5. FL1 is Forbidden Legacy. It's basically a promo pack like Special Editions are.
#6. WC is for the World Championship video game promos. Also Dark Bribe is another video game promo from GX Tag Force.
#7. Good collection. Not sure I would value it at $1000+ though. The cards might individually be worth that, however the problem comes in actually being able to sell them separately to get those prices. Old cards move slowly usually.
Overall though good video hope I was able to answer some of your questions.

I think Konami should make a new spell that is like Reasoning but instead of your opponent you declare the level and all monsters in both players GY with the same level as the declared one get shuffled into they’re decks and both players draw a card.
