Was inexpensive to live and jobs were very very good. People that lived there before those years say the town was even better before those years. The real estate boom in California during the mid 80s is what started the decline in the way of life there. People moved in at the rate of over 5,000 people per month and with the good people came the trash people. 1982 I think was when the Stardust mob got busted. I was working there then and the heat came down on any overs that were there and corporations took over, you know the real thieves that want all the money for themselves and the downfall of the real Las Vegas began, I have know idea what it is now, I know I would not care to live there again. Very sad what that great city became!
