Honestly voice chat slowly becoming used less and less is really telling of the entire track the game went down. The people who use VOIP were, usually, there to have fun over winning. They didn't need to hold W at mach jesus around a corner to enjoy the game, but over time the general excitement died out due to lack of content. Gradually, the people there to have fun (the ones using voip) left and the reason voice chat is used so little now is the vast majority of people still playing the game are focused on their individual performance. They're "too busy" listening for footsteps, holding angles, looking elsewhere, etc. to communicate, revive, resupply or anything else. This, in turn, turns away newer players who nowadays will probably only hear about this game from one of the old videos of crazy voip moments. The snake started eating it's own tail, and in my honest opinion I think the playerbase is very much at fault as much as the devs being slow. It wouldn't be the first time a game's playerbase was so sweaty and unfun that it killed the game, just look at multiversus when it came out.
I am Brazilian. Over the past six months, the game has not received any major updates, which is really disappointing. What I wanted most was weapon customization like in real life, allowing me to attach two scopes to a weapon, for instance. Additionally, it would be amazing if the game included shotguns that are not yet available, new military vehicles, and artillery, making it a true war simulator. I can only imagine how exciting it would be to customize every detail of the weapons, choose different types of ammunition and accessories, and engage in intense battles with varied equipment. The realism of a battlefield filled with modern military vehicles, heavy artillery, and a wide range of customizable weapons would make the gaming experience truly immersive and rewarding.
Just clicked this video, halfway through I saw how many views it had. Was pretty shocked, you have a very satisfying voice and way of talking, I’m definitely betting that you will grow pretty quick.
I remember really early on when there was no way to distinguish if a noise was happening in the same room as you or above or below. Glad they fixed that at least haha
If by "Sweaty" you mean people that just hide behind barricades all game with the easiest to use gun, then i agree with you! Other than that.... Git Gud!
Like any game of its type as it ages the skill ceiling will rise. I started out as a pretty poor player but over time have gotten much better at the game and I am not one of those “sweaty dropshotters” who jumps around like a piece of popcorn in a frying pan. I have more fun now than I did on release. 17k kills on the scorpion evo and climbing.
The game has so much potential to play like a low end Squad/Battlefield kinda hybrid experience but MAN 8-9ish months of nothing but “soon” “we’ll update it soon” only to have 2 guns 1 map and a few UI changes?
brother when i first got the game on launch day on steam that was my favorite part every one was talking on the game now you go on the game nobody is talking
I'm still playing the game very frequently. It's one of my favorite shooters. I love grinding for the camos and grinding for better attachments and I will say that the community for this game is amazing, I also have over 1,000 hours in this game
They have given a lot more info on the Discord. Though, most of that was covered in the camikaze video you brought up. So those changes to lighting, ttk changes, map changes, sound and animation changes, class changes. All that is coming from the devs, with examples and screenshots and clips and stuff. And the devstreams. It is taking a lot longer to come out, but they are making progress. I just wish they would stop adding stuff to the heap and just finish what's on their plate and get that out rather than continuing the feature creep.
Thank you very much! I super appreciate the kind words and your watching! Here's hoping the devs get their poop in a group lmao Thanks for the sub too! Very much appreciated!
Couldn't get good enough fast enough, so I stopped playing because it wasn't fun to get shot from halfway across the map every 30 seconds. "git gud" I tried. I genuinely, actually tried.
Honestly I played some with friends but never really got into it. Why? Because it simply felt like Battlefield 2, 3, 4, and Bad Company 2 but with worse graphics, less vehicles, and more bullshit sniping. All those games were good and I played them and if I wanted that experience I would go back to them (well 4 is probably the only that still has a decent population of players). Battlebit just came out at a good time where people had moved on and forgotten them but also been disappointed by 2042.
I agree! In the section where I talk about identity, thats kind of what I was trying to get at. It never did anything to really distinguish itself apart from Battlefield other than the blocky graphics... Hopefully they do something with it in the future... :(
Thanks a bunch man! I hope it doesn't keep going down this path though, I miss when it was full of people. Still fun to hop in from time to time though! Hoping it'll hang around a little longer!

Really nice production value on the video with lot of potential, although this kind of high effort is kinda wasted on this game unfortunately. Pretty sure you put more effort and skill into this video than the devs have in their game in many months.
I appreciate the kind words! And funny enough you're not the only person to mention the effort and skill compared to the devs. Just a shame they fell off so quickly... Thanks for watching!
Ive been playing on and off for the last few months and I've never gone two without at least one great fire fight battle that really does it for me. I wish more people played but I get it, I guess. I love it. It's still better than cod or battlefield
This is a great video format that I hope you continue with - I think you can grow fast with this style. My only nit-pick would be that occasionally the camera position change can be a little too frequent (though I am severely tired from a 10 hour flight) and the font color/background can be bad for accessibility - I'm a web dev and still improving myself. Tbh it feels like pubgs same issues. Small dev team reluctant to expand, locks up for a bit at too much hype, game dies down for a bit, but overall stays a great game and stays decently relevant for a while. This game though in the long run is designed to be modified and ran by the community through mods & custom maps.. And this same thing is why it wont die completely for 5-10 years at least.
The biggest issue is that the main dev outright refuses to get any kind of help or hire more people to help with the codebase. They have the money, but they don't want to hire more devs, because the "codebase is too hard to work on" or "hiring another person won't speed things up coz they will have to learn how the codebase work" bullshit excuses to my book (I'm a dev in real life, and let me tell you, there is no codebase impossible to understand. There is good codebase, hard codebase, and bullshit codebase, and none of them are impossible to understand. It may take times, but you'll speed things a LOT, it's not even up for debate). They don't realize how big BBR was and how hard they dropped their golden goose. It angers and saddens me a lot, I'm coming from the Ace of Spades community, and it's just more of the same story : an excellent game with huge potential, but eventually ruined by a greedy corporation (Jagex). I loved BattleBit and played it for 250h. I only stopped playing BattleBit because *The Finals* released and it's by far the most fun team based online shooter I've ever played... free2play, no pay2win, satisfying gameplay, UE5 graphics, cool gamemodes, cool weapons, good queue times, cool skins, lots of free ingame credits, 100% destructable maps & server-sided debris & good physics (and everyone has a HL2 Gravity Gun as hands & everywhere are objects to throw against enemies lol) Sorry BattleBit 🙏
As a small correction for Activision its not like the dev see us like dollar sign is more like the company see as a buyers and It shows but i happended to get matched with a dev as an enemy and had fun playing against it from being scared to kill him to joking in proxy chat , sorry for the out of topic comment Nice video btw

i love this game, i stil play frequently, the ony sad thing is ho people is using less the voice chat, hopefully with the new update it will resurrect.
I was about to buy the game on the recent Steam sale, and in India, it cost just Rs. 450/ 5.39 USD. But I saw so many videos about no updates and the game being no fun anymore. I think I will wait 6 more months before deciding if I want it.
That is totally fair! Rs. 450 is still Rs. 450 I don't blame you for a second for hesitating. I will say if you have some friends to play with it can be great fun! Especially if you have never played before, but new updates and (hopefully) a higher player count might add some longer term value!
@@ZachNagy Well imagine in a decade instead of looking back fondly at the closed servers, remembrance posts, and paying customers leaving comments to the void asking for an offline patch you could just boot it up and play. Bots would not only keep the game alive but keep a backstock of players who do jump online for more chaotic hot mic encounters. Instead when player counts reach low enough and a time to kill patch and new guns dont save it they will cut the servers and it will die. Who wants to invest time into that?
@@ZachNagy They are apparently very against adding bots, I understand the idea is OFFLINE bots so it'd be more than pathing and coding some behaviors, the game is probably written with your save data and everything server side... just makes you curious how badly they really wanted to "fix" the problems with modern shooters, when they built the game on the same faulty foundation of ONLINE ONLY, or if they just thought it was their turn to get paid and dip.
Hmm I'm gonna go down a different route. I still play this game though not as often and my main critique is that the maps suck. At times I feel like I'm playing walking simulator. If the maps were to srunken down to about 2/3 or a half then the chaos would fix the sweat problem and there would be far more action. I have so much fun when there's 256 people on a small map rather than a large one
The maps definitely need reworking, but I don't know if the distance needs to be decreased. Vehicles already feel pretty pointless except for helos and tanks. So... Not sure what exactly needs changing. Better cover, more features in the maps... After that, not sure.
@@plzletmebefrank Maps are way too open with too many sightlines everywhere with nowhere near enough cover.. also not every floor on every building needs to be accessible with a million windows and destruction ruins some maps when you destroy everything. Overall Vilaskis is very hit or miss, with a lot of misses and he somehow made Basra into a worse map.
I have too many nitpicks about this game to the point where i cant enjoy it anymore. First the snipers are stupid to go against feels like i have to sit in a corner if theres a sniper on me not necessarily bad but the fact that there is little to no foliage maps are really open and no cap on snipers its so annoying if your playing a sniper players can see you from 1000m away bc of the glint and for some reason AR's can kill you from that far. 2 vehichles are annoying bc you can sit on a hill and shoot people cross map still my feeling that there needs to be more balancing for infantry gameplay in general and vehichles can die to 1 infantry in 2 seconds due to everyone being able to hold 6 c4 and the fast running it gives vehichles little to no reaction time to the c4. Theres more i can rant about but im kinda given up on the game devs seem like they dont know where they even want the game to go. Sgt oki or whoever explains the updates makes me doubt the game even more bc he sounds like hes giving a school presentation on something he knows nothing about .
Since when do online games have to get constant updates in order to be great? I feel like the Fortnite generation isn’t capable of enjoying a game unless it’s got seasons and seasonal content. Back in my day, we played BF2 until the cows came home, for years, and we were so happy with it we didn’t even bother with the DLC that was released later on. Now, a game in early access made by 3 developers is considered “dead” if the 3 devs don’t start releasing more content? Holy smokes, guys, it was $15 and there’s hundreds of hours of fun to be had in its current early access form.
I didn't say it needed constant updates! I actually say in the video multiplayer games don't need those! It's just when a game is in early access, and it's been 6 months, and your latest dev stream says you're adding doors, people move on, the get bored. Nothing wrong with that either just how people are 🫡😁
Oh, I wasn't really replying directly to the video, more so commenting on the outcry I see from a lot of players. I think the video was great and had great points, I'll be subscribing for more. Great content with some solid opinions shared 👍

You can attach two scopes, shotguns will never be added, devs say its too much of a headache to balance.

I totally see where you're coming from with this, I think the large maps COULD work if they were packed with players haha.
@@skyza108 Yeah. It's always either too little cover, or you have to watch a million doors and corners the enemy could pop out from at any time.
Sgt oki or whoever explains the updates makes me doubt the game even more bc he sounds like hes giving a school presentation on something he knows nothing about .
it's dead to me since all they do is nerf snipers. they also won't make shotguns since apparently it's a weapon made by the devil himself
@@TrackballPwner Thanks a bunch for the kind words, for watching, for subbing, and for being rad!
Here because of Sleep.
I know sleep and I have a very different editing style and videos, but I hope you liked it!
LOL DEAD GAME! DEVS DESERVED IT!
