  • This was the first day of my trip to PA for the N&W steam reunion of 4-8-4 611 and 4-8-0 475, I railfanned #90 on Thursday and got some preparation video's for the weekend including 90, 475 and 611 all together and a shot of 475 running light on a test run. Best of all a rare 611 and 475 double header Thursday evening!

#90 is from a small rr called the Great Western Railroad (in Colorado) and basically built my hometown. Glad to see her still running. She and #60 runned by Black River and Western Railroad (BR&W) are the steadies that made out of the scrappy. Diesel #40 still works in the area. ; )

quite a surprise how much has changed in the last year since this event. And sure would of loved to attend it but I live in the southwest and I was busy with my senior year of high school. But at least I got to see 4014 when it stopped in my home state. Even got to talk to Ed Dickens and get my 4014 hat signed by him. Hope to see 611 someday since she's my favorite streamliner and my uncle terry got to see her back during the first NS steam program in the 80s.

To Me, It's kind of a shame that #90 was the only decapod on The Great Western's Roster. She seemed so reliable enough that i feel that the GWR should have purchased at least 11 more identical locomotives; had they done that, than the whole roster of 2-10-0's would be from number's 90-101.

I bet 90 is jellius. having an engine bigger than her come to her home. I think this is one of the few times where 90 was not the biggest engine on a line.

I'm pretty sure that excursion 475 & 611 did before the events started at the end of September was a private event since there's very few videos of it so makes sense
