Musikalisch grossartig, keine Frage, aber wie darf man folgende Textzeile interpretieren?
"We had the right to bear arms
We had the right to free speech
We were innocent 'til proven guilty
Now were sick til proven healthy"
Die freie Meinungsäusserung ist in der Schweiz ja nicht eingeschränkt. Bezieht sich das auf Länder wie Russland etc?
Und das mit den Waffen... Sollen wir in der Schweiz alle Waffen tragen, so dass der Stärkere einfach den schwächeren niederballern kann? Oder was meint ihr mit dem Recht Waffen zu tragen?
Zum letzten Satz: Ob alle Coronamassnahmen berechtigt waren, damit wird sich die Wissenschaft noch lange beschäftigen. Im Nachhinein ist man immer schlauer, nichts tun hätte aber wohl (nach aktuellem Wissensstand) zu einer weitaus grösseren Katastrophe geführt.
Wie gesagt, geile Musik, der Text lässt für mich aber Fragen offen.
Natürlich soll mein Kommentar kein Vorwurf sein, ich habe kein Recht ein Urteil zu sprechen und Metal verwendet in der Regel immer einen rebellischen Ton (was ich daran ja auch mag).
Ich bin nur neugierig und hinterfrage gerne Dinge (ja, auch Entscheidungen der Regierung. Ich bin in vielen Belangen überhaupt nicht auf deren Seite). ;)

Im grob und ganzen kann ich dir sagen, dass der Text sich relativ viel künstlerische Freiheiten nimmt, das hast du bereits ja selbst erkannt ;) Der Text richtet sich nicht ausschliesslich an die Schweiz jedoch schliesst sie auch nicht aus.
Ob wir tatsächliche Meinungsfreiheit in der Schweiz haben, lässt sich streiten. Schliesslich haben wir unzählige Gesetze die die Meinungsäusserung oder gar die Sprache allgemein einschränken. Persönlich sind wir der Meinung, dass es völlig im Rahmen der Meinungsfreiheit ist, einen Menschen z.B als "Hurensohn" zu bezeichnen. Unsere Gesetze sehen das jedoch als "Rufmord" oder "Beleidigung" oder bei Beamten sogar als "Amtsbeleidigung". Hierfür kann man im Gefängnis landen. Es bestehen in der Schweiz auch weitere Gesetze, welche im Namen vom Schutz vor Terrorismus die Meinungsfreiheit einschränken können. Zwar sind wir nicht so schlecht unterwegs wie Russland beispielsweise aber bei der Frage ob wir in der Schweiz Meinungsfreiheit haben müssten wir nein sagen.
Das Recht Waffen zu tragen sehen wir als universelles Recht eines Menschen sein Leben mit allen Mitteln zu verteidigen. Ob vor Kriminellen, vom fremden Streitmächten oder vom eigenen Staat ist egal.
Finde es gut, dass du solche Sachen hinterfragst. Das sollten definitiv mehr Menschen machen! Rock on!!!
