Man, I miss the days when stuff like this was played on the radio in America. Alternative/Modern Rock on the radio... I miss you!
In Europe too. All mainstream songs seem the same and trash today
I've always loved this song and video so brilliant i do not not believe the bands name is random and meaningless K is a reference to Kafka's main protagtanist in most of his work, unless anyone else has another theory
@@denmasxe so true I am From France and I feel the same although I must confess I discovered this bland cause they were in several episodes of Buffy the vampire slayer …. Ahhh good times ahah
Absolute Masterpiece! The 90s and MTV - Best Music Era Ever!
Yeah when MTV actually played music. 😜
My wife and I actually had the incredible privilege of seeing K'S Choice live back in 2003. The venue changed at the last minute, so there only ended up being about 30 people there. After the show, while everyone else was leaving, my wife and I were still having drinks. Sarah and Gert came over to our table and struck up a conversation with us. We ended up chatting with them for about thirty minutes, just shooting the proverbial shit, telling stories, and having laughs. We told them we were sorry that more people couldn't make it because of the venue change, and Sarah said "we've traveled all over the world playing to large crowds at festivals, and we actually prefer playing to small groups these days. Better interaction with the fans that way". After their crew finished loading their stuff, they autographed a few things, gave us hugs, and out the door they went. Kind of cool to get to hang out with a band in a small venue after seeing them six years earlier at a large festival where I couldn't get within 200 feet of them.
I've been to three of their concerts, always in small venues, and I think it suits them: kind of more intimate, more in touch with the audience. Never had a chance to actually meet any of them, but they genuinely seem like good people. Look at them on stage !
That is the best...I didn't get to see K's Choice, but I have a similar story with Brandi Carlile. The venue was an old church that was converted into a concert venue. There couldn't have been more than 150 people there and it was just the trio doing an acoustic getting back to their roots tour. This is pre-parenthood for all of them. After the show 5 or 6 of us were hanging out in the parking lot after everyone had left just shooting the breeze of finding the rarity of similar music lovers in Florida. Brandi came out and asked where there was something to eat near there and the caravan of us ended up going to Denny's at 11 at night. It was awesome.
Awsome story i wish one Day i coule see them perform in a small bar and hang out with them ..i m a big fan if Sarah ans gert..if they come to Tahiti..
@@branscombechave6799 Sam* (not Sarah anymore)
@@rosalieckens ah OK.. i'd love to jam one day with Sam and gert.. hi from tahiti
If you're still listening to this in 2021 I love you.
When I was 14, back in 1983, I got committed to a mental hospital for 30 days. This video always takes me back to that moment. I was just a kid that was dealing with normal stuff, but got a little out of control.
I ended up becoming a “Well Adjusted” kid eventually. Whatever that means!
I will always remember that time though. And wonder what ended up happening to the people I met there. Being institutionalized is a horrible thing. I’m sure some of the people I met are still there!
90's = the best music decade ever!
Eric Allen Nirvana is king of music
I totally agree but I also love the 80s
So sue me!
Listening in 2020. Still a great song!
even after all these years, one of the best pieces of music.
One of the most original rock bands ever! This song rocks!
Such an underrated band and song. One of my favorite songs to sing for karaoke, which of course no one knows since it isn't "Not an Addict".
from an age when MTV was always running in the background...with actual music...
So true
YES
I have plenty of chills when I hear Sarah sing. This group is magical and Sarah is beautiful.
This band is very underrated
Cool! I'm glad I uploaded it so you could enjoy it. I miss this band!
The harmonies in this song are just pitch perfect and it makes this song so great and just addicting
The singer and guitarist are brother and sister and grew up on Beatles, thats why they harmonize so well.
i don't think that's what pitch perfect means
Sounds current even today. I bet if Foo Fighters did a cover of this track now, 20 years later, it would be a massive hit worldwide.
I absolutely
I am bi-polar and have suffered insanity no less than 5 times due to child hood trauma at the hands of a sexually abusive man.. I was only 5 at the time and to this day 40 years later I still see and feel through the eyes of a child. This video really touches me, cause I have gone to those strange dark places of the soul and have had my reality ripped to pieces and i did not know if i would ever get out, music is one thing that really helped to heal me, thanks for posting this beautiful video
I wasn't abused but I did suffer phychosis so this music video really reminds me of that.
Simply one of the best songs ever.
I forgot how much I missed music like this.
Ok, so I loved "I'm not an addict" since the 90's (hell on earth) but *WHOA* this one *HITS THE NAIL on da Head*
😶
WHOA!!!!!!!!! AWESOME way K's Choice is so Right On! ✌
that song is still bad ass.
Nostalgia..... Teen years come back please! You're forgiven....
You're god damn right, bro !
Hell that was my 30s and I played this song in a cover band back then... I've gotten old AF and all my parts hurt. Sure stage dives seemed like a good idea at the time.... just takes one show where the sea of humanity parts and you and your jazz bass meet concrete with the full force of gravity and, well, it's not good... trust me... 🤕
С удовольствием слушаю и сейчас.лет десять прошло как первый раз увидел этот клип.ностальгия.
Шедевр
What a nostalgic damned trip this was - actually came across on my Spotify queue and had to come here. Literal tears welled up in my eyes for some reason - I dunno why. But this was kind of just after high school and some travels abroad. Great band and music we just don't get on the radio anymore. Woah....
Much, much better quality than the old 240p version I've had for the last year. Favouriting this one pronto!
Thanks a lot for uploading this clip in HQ!
The song is about a man who's being held in a psychiatric hospital.
He suffers from a mental illness and he tells his story
In the end (the last paragraph) he repeats what he have said in the beginning, which symbolize his illness.
K's choice !!! LOVE YOU!
Their work is absolutely out of the world.
2022 and this song still hits awesome
Reminds me of high school
probably their best videoclip ever. And a great song too.
I don't know who you are
But you seem very nice
So will you talk to me
Shall I tell you a story
Shall I tell you a dream
They think I'm crazy
They don't know that I like it here
It's nice in here
I get everything for free
Have you been here before
Shall I show you around
It's really pretty
Have you come here to stay
Well you sure picked a day
My name is Billy
It's my birthday, you're invited
To my party down the hall
Where I'll go, what I'll become or who I am or what I'll be I'll never know
But I am sure that I'll get everything for free
I'm not troubled or sad
I'm just ready for bed
It's been a long day
Before they switch off the lights
That truly was a delight
They think I'm crazy
They don't know that I like it here
It's nice in here
I get everything for free
Where I'll go, what I'll become or who I am or what I'll be I'll never know
But I am sure that I'll get everything for free
Where I'll go, what I'll become or who I am or what I'll be I'll never know
But I am sure that I'll get everything for free
everything for free
I don't know who you are
But you seem very nice
So will you talk to me
Have you been here before
Well you sure picked a day
they think I'm crazy
Back in the 90s someone was handing out free CDs for advertising or something outside of a store. I still have this single on CD as a result! I typed it into CZcams just knowing that it wouldn't be here. Silly me!
i am bipolar....this song is amazing
This song is incredibly important to me.
Back in 1998 I was 12 going on 13, I was very fond of this local radio station that had created a community between the producers and the audience. My favourite producer had a soft spot for this particular song and he would play it often, I quickly fell in love with it and recorded it on tape so that I could play it on repeat (rewind-play, rewind-play). This marked my transition into teenagehood: until then I'd been listening to lighthearted pop music, I was a proper tween who liked all the boy-bands and girl-bands of the time, but once puberty hit and K's Choice became my favourite band, I started discovering other genres of music (on the rock spectrum) and with it came my intellectual awakening. I associate the best things of my teenage years with the turning point that came with this song.
Only 818k views? This song is like a childhood 90s classic for me, I was sure it was much more well known
These guys aren't very famous.
Awesome song! Awesome lyrics! Awesome band!
Great song.
i love this song!
I love her voice, not to mention she,s beautiful...
One my favorites from when I was a teen. Never knew she was m2f trans till recently
There was a small period when this was for me the epitome of good music videos. Yeah.
2020 anyone?
I love that band! ❤
I remember i recorded this video clip on my VHC back then it was so awesome !
Thanks for the HQ indeed ;)
One of my favorite 90's alt-rock bands that I will probably never start listening to again. R.I.P. that era.
this is the 1st cd I bought coming to London in 1999 from South Africa
god i found this song after so long
ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS....
THANK YOU FOR THE HQ !
Damn, this is a WAY better single than not an addict and I've NEVER heard this.
For good bands, the most popular songs are seldom the best. Of course, it's the opposite for less good bands.
I like this song alot
Yes roundabout
Love this band, love Sarah's solo stuff. Saw them in concert here in London Ontario. Small venue. Great. Gracias por la musica. MH
Paxton! It took me 25 years to see this? Rabbit holes! Looking back toward Buckhead days!
perfect harmony.. masterpiece..
I love this song. Thanks for posting a HQ version. I've listened to this song a thousand times since I found this link in February.
I love you very much Sara!
Didn't they change genders.

The archetype European 90s era Rock band - excellent!
@Jason Davis Thank you for the upload! #letsgo #2020 👍💯❤️
the '90s. the best times ever.
found this in 2019
great song
Another amazing band that could’ve made it big but didn’t sell their soul
i forgot the title of k's choice popular song here in the Philippines back in the 90's along with their Not an addict song..then i stumbled here and actually found it..this is the song..
ganda din yung kanta nilang believe :-)
Beautiful song i love it :)
superb track! stays good after all this time
R.I.P Sarah Bettens
Thank your for this K's Choice!
this song is better than i expected
Love this music and band. My teenager years were so good. Love Sarah so much and her haircut. Next month gonna do the same as hers.
20 years....still cool
AMAZING
I was 17 when i first heard this song on the radio I didn`t know what it was about I just liked it.
I love their music! wish I was born earlier 😂
Great Hit in the 90
I’ve had the same thought for some years now.
oh my god thank you thank you
Same here, actually I was looking for it for 18 years! Great memories from my teenage years.
This song is Above the Line! If you read the comments here and on other 90s songs you can see so many people that say 90s are simply The Best time for Music and for any skeptic this is very overestimating, But... It's simply the Pure Truth!!! The Institution called MTV that popularise and help to singers and creators of Music create The best of the Best Songs and Music Videos!
I remember this song and not an addict.
I remember when they used to play this on the Radio.
I've heard this song for years and always wondered what the lead vocolist looked like. thanks for the upload, was very neat
herron321 Oh, she's so beautiful here, right? It makes a straight guy sad she's not available to us... not that myself or any other straight guy should assume that we could get her if she were open to the idea. ;)
@@JasonDavis103 I've had a crush on her for 20+ years without ever knowing what she looked like. Now I come to find out she's transitioned into a male, and I dont know what to feel
Aww i love what this song reminds me...1998
Thanks Jason :) Merry Christmas!!! Together forever eternity. LOVE infinity 🕯 i Love u 🙋God💋
A damn classic
AWESOME AND GREAT QUALITY!! many thanks!! :)
Very hot song 🔥💪
I MISS GOOD MUSIC
I came here because I was informed this mix had level issues.
It did not disappoint. The guitar explosion at ~:30 is quite extreme. I'm glad I was warned - had I adjusted my speakers to the intro levels, I'd be deaf now. lol
Also, thanks for the HQ! Seems like a decent song.
Haunting lyrics. Shows just how special this band is. They should have tapped this sound more. The harmonies are perfect.
Joe Whitney Many of their songs feature the same dynamic, regarding harmonies.
"Believe" is another great song by them that has a close sound to this one. Nice harmony
i was searching for years to find this song thank you so much :)
My old roommate used to date him like 10 years ago. He is a musician lived in Georgia for a while and the last I heard he is in the UK
The guy in this video is one of the psychology lecturers at the University I work at! Small word!
Peter Christopherson was a great director
***** yup
Thanx for the HQ!!
Great song, it makes me laugh every time I listen to it.
FANTÁSTICO
LOVE IT ^^
✨🕊️💛💖
You can criticize me, you can use those alleged phobias, but she was so attractive back then.
I barely know a few of their songs, but she was so cute a decade ago.
Thanks for letting me find this. Similar, not quite sure who is crazy.
