I used to spend many happy hours during the School holidays train spotting at Woking Station. However that was in the late 1960s. Woking Station, Woking itself and the trains have changed a lot since then! Thank you for posting a brilliant, high quality video

It is interesting to note that the 4xx Desiros are classed within the 400 range, reflecting their third-rail powering even with the ability to have pantographs etc fitted in future. This is obviously correct practice, unlike the Electrostars which are numbered as 3xx classes despite the identical configuration to these Desiros.

That is a rather strange thing now you mention it. Do you think it’s possibly because the 377s have AC variants in the 377/2s and 377/7s? I believe 375s also have some AC variants but can’t remember which subclass. 387s and 379s all have pantographs but I don’t believe the 376s do? Anyways, thanks for your comment. 👍🏼
