*UPDATE:* Here are 18 of my favorite Shortcuts w/ a download link to each one --> czcams.com/video/IqRD5Jp-8wg/video.html
Hope you learned something new in this Shortcuts video! There are still much more complex shortcuts to be created, so let me know if you want to get even more advanced in the future!
what would be great is a video listing you favorite siri shortcuts. I saw some on your panel that I'd love to know more about
Brandon Butch would you mind sharing the discount calculator & could you do one 4 going 2 movies & turning on dnd & airplane mode & low power ? Please
PLEASE make a series of this. I’m really trying to learn how to be more creative on this app. Siri needs some revamping I just don’t know what shortcuts to make. I tried making a shortcut that would remind me to call my grandma on her bday but it didn’t work :(. I need help and a series on this would just be fantastic. THAT is something I will subscribe for as well.
Do continue making tutorials like these and by all means go even more advanced!
A full series would be awesome! Especially if you could do a shortcut for saving your current location and another for navigating back to that location! Would really help when getting lost on holiday and being unable to find your way back to the hotel or forgetting where you parked the car!! Cheers!
I would definitely watch a full shortcuts series lol
Pedro Ferraro me too! Brandon! Please do this!
Please make a series for Siri shortcuts! I’m still lost on how to do this. 😂
I probably will! This is the 2nd vid on it so far!
Brandon Butch awesome! Can’t wait.
also add them for download!
start simple commands ~ sample: set up do not disturb when you say "i'm going to sleep". To do this: type do not disturb on the "command page" and drag it onto the wall and then add to siri.
Brandon came through with a wonderful tutorial. This is how it is done. Thank you Brandon!
Love this! So nice to have a walkthrough to get the idea of how it works and be able to rewind and do it in real time. Thanks so much!
Interested in the series...do that
Awesome video. Thanks for taking the time to do these.
One word of advice though.
From an IT security perspective, you should set the WiFi workflow to prompt you to enter the password.
2 benefits:
1 - more secure. You should never save passwords in plain text.
2 - it will work for multiple networks.
Thanks for such an informative video! Could you please make a video on how to turn on and off the location services, Brandon? I don't always need that on, as it drains my battery. Only need it for few times in a day like an Uber ride.
FULL SERIES PLEASE!!!!!!!
Very useful thanks Brandon! You should make series of it, would be helpful for anyone.
Yes make a series 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾, want to short cut that auto send happy bday text to people in my calendar, is that even possible?
Damn.
Great video 😳
Keep them coming! You’re teaching a lot of people how to use the app!
Great video as always Brandon! Keep these coming let’s see how complicated and creative we can get with this app.
One id love is if there’s anyway to copy certain links to open in certain apps and not just on safari; for example I want my Reddit links to open in Apollo and not reddit app or safari mobile
I subscribed, I want the shortcuts series! This video is awesome (Y)
Brandon, thank you for these awesome shortcut tutorial videos! I especially love the discount calculator one. I've always wanted something like this. Could you please add a feature that will also calculate the total after tax as well.
I truly enjoy your shortcuts guides. For those critical of the usefulness of a particular routine, I suggest you take these examples as a springboard to programming your specific need. I've watched two of Brandon's videos and they have led to some pretty sophisticated time savers.
Well done.
And yes, I'd love to see more.
Do make a series of this!! 🔥🔥
This blew my mind! I had no idea you could code your own shortcuta/'applets'. Thanks for this tutorial and I would love to see more.
Keep doing more of these really helpful
These are AWESOME! Please keep making them!
Thank you kindly for your video, question how you create shortcuts for AirPods ?
Thanks to your videos I was able to get this app.
By chance can you or is it possible to make a shortcut for Silent mode off and on? My vibrate button broke so I want an easier way to toggle phone ringer on and Silent (off) without my jailbreak. Thanks.
Thanks a lot for this series
So helpful!! Thank you!
Please make more videos like this
Great video 👏♥️
Happy with the percentage one. Had to pause and carry on it sections but really good tutorial. Getting use to shortcuts now
I would love to make a shortcut that opens the CZcams app and starts a certain playlist at the newest video. Can you make a tutorial for that?
Very useful!! Thank you! Looking for shortcut to take me “home” or to “work” in Waze
Thank you 🥰Took a bit of skipping back and forward but I got it done! 😍
Super informational! Thanks so much Brandon. I never understood how to set these up since way back when it was Workflow, but it’s starting to make sense! I would definitely watch a Shortcuts Series!
This is super well explained. Thank you a lot. The Siri Shortcuts series would be awesome.
Thanks Lumi! I think I'll be starting one!
More Please!
Really Fantastic Please show more and perhaps provide a hint on how to learn to work this programing laungauge
Hey! Thanks for all your time! I wondered if there was an automatic way to turn do not disturb on when I have an appointment in the calendar app. It would be super useful for university. Thank you in advance. Your videos are super useful
I'm super stoked on this app! It would be really cool if they could have some pre-programmed shortcuts. But I used to do a little bit of coding so it looks so fun!
Perfect walk-through! Thanks!!
Nice video boss QR code will be very helpful. What about displaying a list of remembered networks and connecting to the one you select? I find myself doing this a lot...
Thanks! Really did learn something, however how would you use Siri Shortcuts to retrieve information from safari/chrome? Eg. Currency Conversion rate?
Series on this would definitely be amazing!
Would love a series on shortcuts. Can you slow down a little. You have your most used in favorites need time to get mine into favorites and comprehend what and why I am doing this action. Thank-you
THANKS SO MUCH!!! I'd definitely watch, too!!!
Please a shortcut series.
Thanks for the video, but I did have to pause a lot and figure out how you were navigating through the steps and adding favorites. Keep up the good work!
The one with the WIFI is amazing.. Loved it. I added it for myself as well.. Thanks.
Thanks alot
Would definitely love a full series on this!
These are awesome thanks. I paused/ backed up this video many times to make these. 👍🏻
Very cool! Just getting into shortcuts. Thanks for sharing!
PLEASE DO MORE!!
Awesome vid man helps out a lot.. can you please help me out where to put sales tax calculations.. thanks
great video! very helpful. can you make a video about making it so you can say what you need siri to do and it will do it. AND one with the tip calculator tutorial
This is great! Thanks. I used the ideas and format to create a currency converter which also adds sales tax. If I can get it to somehow fish the exchange rate from the web it would be perfect.
Awesome, thanks for putting this together. Very helpful.
Hi Brandon I’m just trying to understand shortcuts and what they can do for you. This is great and many thanks for sharing it with us.
Hey Brandon, Great videos! Could help me with a custom shortcut. I can’t seem to figure it out. I would like to turn off a group of app notifications through a shortcut. Example. I am on a date, through a shortcut I could say “hey siri, I’m on a date” which the short cut would then disable all my various dating app’s notifications from popping up while I am on the date. This avoids the uncomfortable ride to the movies if Tinder pops up a match. As is The apps are all over the place in notifications settings because of the alphabetical order ..Bumble Okcupid Tinder etc. this would help a great deal. Thank you. Liked and subbed!
I want more! Thanks for super easy to understand format
Great tutorial!!! I will definitely be using both of these and the QR code for WiFi access will have the added benefit of making me look super tech savvy with friends and family now! 😂 I look forward to more tutorials in the future!
great video , would love to see setting up phillips hue lights wit the app.
lol i didnt saw anything in the description, so i did everything you said it came out good though. but at least i learn something. Great Video
THank you. I really enjoyed it. More please.
Excellent! Love it. More tutorials please ..
PLEASE MAKE MORE OF THESE VIDEOS!! LOVE THEM! SO HELPFUL!
Thanks !!!
Thank you
Great video👌🏻 I created two called “switch to 4K” and “switch to hd” so that it switches in what quality to record a video with instead of going to the settings app
StopJerkingOff you have a video on CZcams to do it
Great video thanks Brandon, very skilful and make it easier to understand how shortcuts work, I wish I can become like yourself once day, what other resources do you recommend for keen learners to learn from and become better at it please? Cheers
This is awesome. would you be able to do a shortcut where..i can start a playlist then connect to a bluetooth speaker (echo)?
Love this video! Thank you so much🙏🏾
Please make series of shortcuts 🙏🏿
Please make more videos ! This is great !!
Thank you so much for your productions, very helpful. Cannot wait for the next set of creating advanced shortcuts. Can you please make a how to make a shortcut on "Download CZcams" and "Amazon Price History". Thank you.
Hey! I’ve been wondering if it’s possible to create location-based shortcuts - shortcuts that trigger when you arrive (or even leave) at a chosen location like the Reminders app does. What do you think?
Great video thanks!!!
Great video!!Hoping to see more of this..Would be awesome to see shortcuts to set call forwarding!
Yo Brandon, I have a question!
I love the WiFi to QR, I use it in my work setting. I’m interested how you got the iOS configuration for how the iPhone reads an SSID & how I might write a shortcut for an Android to also be able to do this. Any knowledge on this would be great!
Please make a series for shortcuts!
Hi, I love these clips as shortcuts is very powerful. Can you please tell me where I can find a list of all the shortcuts to study?
Great videos so far on Shortcuts! Such an underrated feature of iOS! Looking forward to a full series on this!!
This is a great video. Helps me a lot in learning how to make shortcuts. I have a question, is there a way to format numbers with thousand separators? I love the calculate discount shortcut but since my currency use bigger numbers, thousand separator is very useful. Thanks!
Awesome videos!!!! I’m just starting to get into the shortcuts. There are so many functions. Thanks for the help!
Yes, an entire series for siri shortcuts would be really nice!
For example: I'd like to know how to send a specific message directly with one command (often used one) to a specific person via WhatsApp.
That's one of the things I would like to know.
thanks for your great explanation. Really helpful 👍🏻.
i need your help with something. i created an automation when apple car play is connected a menu with my music application appear to choose one of them. i just don't know how to dismiss this menu automatically after awhile if nothing is chosen 😅
YES. Please make a tutorial on what are variables and other functions.
Very very cool👍 it would be awesome if you can got through each function within ShortCuts and explain a little it was they do and an example. That will be an awesome Series to watch
I would definitely watch a full Shortcuts series! And Automations one too! 🙏🏾
Amazing videos! Is it possible to create a shortcut to open an app and then fill the user and pasword fields and then log-in?
Can you make life easier and post the shortcuts so we can just download and install...thanks!! Love your work
Such a GREAT video. Please do more. Ive been curious about shortcuts, but app is confusing to beginner. This video was extremely helpful.
Would definitely like more shortcut videos
Dude, this was GREAT! Glad you made this video and I REALLY HOPE YOU MAKE MORE! Siri Shortcuts is like the Coding For dummies, but I'm still a dummy because I unfortunately never learned how to code. THANK YOU! I will be GLUED to the videos in this series at least until I'm able to comprehend all this, and start making my own!
This is an informative tutorial. Do you know how to format the numbers to include a comma, though?
Beautiful video please continue this series
Thanks. A series would be awesome. Also tell people if you are going too fast, they can slow down the CZcams video... 75% worked without too much distortion
Please do an entire series of these useful shortcuts and keep making new ones. Also please give links to the finished shortcuts in description.
Pls Make a video on how to clear history and website data in Settings.
Nice video, maybe do you know how to create a javascript shortcut? Specifically how to return 2 or more variables in a "completion()"
Awesome video! Please keep the shortcut videos coming. This can get complex at times.
You are a great teacher, very much appreciated. Is there a way you can do one Siri shortcut a video and go slower? Also would love to have you explain why we put certain words, boxes or? In the shortcut. I am tech savvy at 70 years old but need a slower instruction. You do a wonderful job and we would love to see you teach a series, just remember we need to go slow! Thank you!!
Hey Brandon do you have a tutorial on how to make the Calculate Tip shortcut?
